Stiles fell to earth with the purpose of corralling his soul mate, Joanna, and taking her back home. After making the mistake of allowing her to talk him into a week’s extension, Stiles found himself stabbed and left for dead. He fought back, infecting the angel population with a disease that had the power to kill some, maim others. And then he tricked the angels into thinking he was back on their side, willing to work with them to destroy the remnants of the human race in order to claim the earth as their own.

Stiles is sent to live with a group of survivors, who have dubbed themselves, Survivorville. He falls in love with the daughter of the leader, Rebecca James, a romance that could prove to be as dangerous for Stiles as it is eye opening. Rebecca teaches Stiles all the reasons why being human is a rich, rewarding experience, even with all the tragedy and fear these humans suffer. But when Joanna, in an irrational fit of jealousy, threatens Rebecca, Stiles finds himself in a compromising situation that could out him to his human companions and leave him ostracized from the one person he cares for more than he had ever imagined possible.

Excellent reading.

If I had read this series first, it would have explained a lot, or possibly spoiled it for the Angels & gargoyles Series. However, Reading A & G first...gives you a leg up in this series. So in whatever order they are read...that didn't spoil anything for me. This series is from Stiles' POV. He is struggling with his orders, being the only ally the humans have, while the other Angels wreak havoc. He also learns a great deal about humans, finding his assumptions before falling to earth were completely wrong, grudgingly gaining respect for them.
