Stiles becomes a leader of Survivorville after the disappearance of former leader, Jack James, alongside his wife, Rebecca James, as well as friends Mark and Tyler. They decide to move the group back east rather than continue on to the military bunker in New Mexico that had been their destination. They have heard of a community in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania that is taking in new people. One thing they learned from the disappearance of not only Jack, but fellow community member, Micha, is that there is strength in numbers.

Survivorville becomes absorbed by the community in Pittsburg. Even Stiles begins to find a place among the builders of the community. But he is still waiting for the birth of the child he had been told he is to protect, the child who will be the savior of humanity. When the child is conceived and Stiles realizes he is about to be called away from Rebecca, he honors her request to have a child. A short time later, the community is attacked and Stiles finds himself in a life or death contest with none other than Lucifer.

Stiles is still an angel who has no free will. He must make choices that will take him from the people he cares most deeply about and to make a pact, quite literally, with the devil.

NOTE: This is the 3rd and final book of the Nephilim series.

Wow...

Great book, a lot of answers to ?s from previous books of the series. I love how wise Stiles seems to be, and she'll he learned. And it looks like just maybe, Joanna is changing for the better too. Rebecca, we'll she's as strong as they come and the closure with Jack was needed. I wish there were more, but all good things...so it is said. Thank you!
