are two short stories. We hear the account of Smitty,
one of the many character’s the author met as a young
man while Hoboing around the west. Smitty is now
in the sad throes of old age. The other tale tells another
true escapade about the young author’s thrifty adventure in an old
Packard when old cars were owned by people that loved
them for what they were and not what they would like them to be.
If you don’t care for these stories, you are only out 99 cents
and less than a half hour of your time, as these
two tales are only about 14 pages long.
