This anthology is ideal for anyone who is looking for something quick and horrific.
All seven short stories are based on things that the author is afraid of, though I'm still trying to guess at what she is afraid of in "Meow." In any case, at only about 90 pages, all of the short stories are page-turners, ranging from the almost cute (I have issues, I know) to the ghastly. There really is a little something for everyone. My favorite story was "Mirror," which has a theme of loss that stabs at my own fears.
Really loved this short gruesome book!! Loved how fast paced it was I think my favourite MEOW!!! Will definitely be checking out the rest of this authors books! Thank you!!
Since I knew that I was going to be reading an anthology, I tried to pace myself with reading the stories, so I could truly soak in the atmosphere, and vibes of each one...but that was impossible because I couldn’t stop reading! With the “spooky” atmosphere that each story evoked, I found myself reading story after story, always looking forward to the next one, and anticipating how the twist of each one is going to shock me to my core. This is literally the perfect thing to read for this coming Halloween season!
Crawl Space was an enjoyable set of short stories with some being spooky while others being totally gruesome. It's not a long book at all, but I took my time as I wanted to take in each story. All of them were great, but there were a few that I truly enjoyed.
The ones that I enjoyed the most were Meow Mirror Broken (My Personal Favorite)
Overall, this was a fun set of stories. If you need something quick, you can't go wrong with Crawl Space.
