Woven Heart #3

Cherish my Heart

Rate this book
A ruthless boss. A fearless assistant. And a line neither of them should cross.

Aditi Malhotra isn’t here to play the good little intern. She’s here to build a future with her own name on it—independent of her powerful family and their name. Landing a position at Varuna Industries is supposed to be her first step toward that dream.

But working under Abhimaan is nothing like she imagined. He’s brilliant, cold, and devastatingly controlled—the kind of man who built his empire from nothing and will never let anyone forget it. Aditi is supposed to take notes, run schedules, and stay invisible. Instead, she challenges him, questions him, and refuses to be intimidated. And somehow, that infuriates him… almost as much as it fascinates him.

What begins as sharp retorts and late-night arguments shifts into something neither of them saw coming. Tension. Chemistry. Fire.

But Abhimaan has walls built too high for anyone to climb. And Aditi knows getting close to him could burn everything she’s worked for. Still, some rules are meant to be broken. And some risks are worth taking.

They cherish each other’s hearts, and I CHERISH THEM.

After finishing the book, I am just staring at a wall in front of me; there is a void left inside me. I am typing and erasing again and again, hoping miraculously the words will automatically appear on the screen, because I am in no situation to type the review; I honestly have no words. I have a gut intuition telling me that this book is gonna wreck my heart and will be ten stars worthy, and it is. This book is so good, good doesn’t do justice. It’s AMAZAYN, FABULOUIS, BRILLIAM, PHENOMENIALL, EXTRAORDINHARRY.

I have completed this book in one day, within 2 sittings, even after my course books were cursing at me and my other deadlines were glaring at me, but it was WORTH IT <<<333 I am not ready to say goodbye to them, not yet. I can’t believe this journey has come to an end. What started from Rudraksh and Shivani’s marriage meeting and ended with their daughter Rudrani throwing flower petals at Aditi and Abhimaan’s wedding, it felt so surreal, so personal, so intimate and somewhat like home.

Their banters, the chemistry, the dialogues, the comfort scenes - TOP NOTCH!!!! I was laughing so hard that I was close to tears, their banter felt like a verbal boxing match and don’t even get me started on the dry sass and humour. I am a sucker for dry humour and sassy conversations, and they didn’t disappoint me.

Speaking about characters, flawed yet perfectly imperfect. I can proudly say that I LOVE FMC more than MMC in this book, and she is ruling my heart like no one else. She has raised fucking standards. It’s not like MMC hasn’t raised our standards and isn’t impeccable, but Aditi shone in this book, like the brightest star. The way she protects Abhimaan, loves him like breathing and will wage a war for him *screaming, crying*

Abhimaan, this grumpy teddy bear man deserves everything. This arrogant, insufferable grouch has my heart. Where’s my Abhimaan? I also want a dry humour, cold, reserved grump who cooks for me, will burn the world for me and will listen to me without any judgment. The way he supported Aditi in her dreams chef kiss. I will not help you, but I will be there with you at each and every step.
The dance scene literally gives me chills. I was screaming, and even the slightest touch burned me. The slow burn was SO DAMNN GOOD !!!!!!

They are the literal definition of “Love isn’t about loudest moments, big emotional words, or over the top gestures. It’s about being there for each other, the solace you find in their arms. Even small kind gestures, listening to them while holding their hands and giving them assurance that you are there for them, are louder than words and will surpass each and every flashy moment.”

I just loved Rudraksh and Rudrani’s moments in the book, the way they are protective of Aditi and gave death stares to Abhimaan, is damn funny and will never get old. This book is special because the way Aditi’s POV is portrayed, independence without a man’s name and support, about losing your self, ambitions and identity because of your partner and family, about forgetting your dreams and making their dreams yours, it felt close to home.

Being an elder daughter, and that too when you and your sister are the only girl children in your family, I know it’s hard, and I have seen my mother, my bua and other female figures in my family forgetting about their own desires and everything and succumbing to their partners and their needs. It’s hard, and not having your own identity other than being someone’s daughter, someone’s granddaughter, it hurts like someone is poking needles in your body.

“If I start fighting like a girl, you won’t be alive.” This dialogue has made my day, and kudos to female empowerment. From seeing their frenemies era to their dating era to their marriage era, it feels so wholesome, and my heart is full. From “Who are you?” to “Mr Abhimaan Aditi Malhotra.” I am melting into puddles, and the waterfalls aren’t gonna stop any time soon.

Okay so from where should I start-
The last book in the series and I'm already missing the Malhotra siblings a lot. Since the first book, I'm so hooked and stuck to the whole series and now when it finally came to an end, this feeling is beyond expressing. My Aditi and Abhimaan, they both are beautiful, magical, sweet and bold. This book was indeed an emotional ride, filled with purity and loyalty. I loved every bit of it and true to my words, every scene was the art of perfection.

The appearance of the whole Malhotra family and the final ending...ahhh...my poor heart. Can't get enough of them. This book is 10/10 read for me and the whole series is just Chef's kiss 💋. The emotional scenes, the banters, the romance, the love, the shimmer, the confession, the sweetness, the coldness, the charm, the look, the aesthetics- every single thing in this book is pretty perfect.

Highly reccomended if you love cozy read.

I just finished Cherish My Heart by S.C. Jain, and honestly, it was such a comforting surprise. It’s a desi romance with a sassy, strong female lead and a perfectly grumpy hero, the kind of dynamic that keeps you smiling through every page.

What I loved most were the little gestures between them, nothing grand or over the top, but the kind that quietly stay with you long after you’ve closed the book ♾️ Their banter felt so natural, and their chemistry was soft yet intense in all the right ways.

This book pulled me out of a reading slump and reminded me why I love desi romances so much…the warmth, the relatability, the emotions that feel real. Now I’m so excited to start The Promised Queen by the same author, hoping it gives me that same heart-tugging feeling again. 🤍✨

This series is highly recommended. Green leads all the way! i feeling sad that we wont be getting more of these couples, but happy that abhimaan and aditi found way to each other. And rudrani character was so cute. Thanks for writing this story!
