I have been waiting forever for Emma and Mason's story and The Mate Challenge was definitely worth the wait. Taiden definitely stepped up her game in this one my ramping up the issues with the Rahound pack. This book add elements that increase its "wow" factor by adding a sexy, sassy vampire, Aria, and a defacto leader, Traven, of a band of rouges who really aren't rogues at all. But there are still some common elements in this story that are shared with all the books in the Sassy Mates series. The women are sexy, outspoken, and hard to tame while the men are swoon-worthy, alpha, and determined to tame their sassy mates. I loved Emma and Mason's byplay and how they grew into their mating where the other ones happened a bit faster. Mason was sweet, but steely in his determination to get Emma to see that they were perfect for one another. This was probably one of the best books in the series and I'm going to love to see what Taiden does with Ellie and Caleb (who I'm just dying to see get a happily ever after) and Aria and Traven (a wolf and a vampire mating should be very interesting). The series continues to get better and better.

FINALLY MILLY TAIDEN is BACK!
This is the MT i have been waiting on lately! Dont get me wrong I love all her books, but I missed the writing style we used to see.
This book was amazing, and hot just lile all MT books, but the twists and turns that I loved are back.
Emma and Mason, I have waitied forever for this book and it doesnt disappoint! The story starts at the mating ceremony like the rest but secrets are revealed and I was BLOWN AWAY!!!
Emma and Mason, continued to blow me away with secrets of their relationship, the whole book had secrets being revealed that kept me in suspense!
In this story we meet some Vamps and let me just say I WANT TO BE ARIA! She is amazing and sweet and everything I didnt expect in a vamp in this world lol.
Throw in a few Weres that are passing through and chemistry abounds on all levels by everyone!
I loved catching up with every one of the sassy mates, meeting new characters like Aria and HMMMM MMMM Theron, and the SECRETS that are REVEALED! Still make me go WHAT!!!
Best MT book in a long time! I will be rereading this one and constantly!

~ 5 Challenge Stars ~
The Mate Challenge is book four in the Sassy Mates series by Milly Taiden and yes, they should be read in order to get the best enjoyment out of the books.
Emma and Mason did not disappoint! This was another Fabulously Amazing read. We get a very independent women, maybe sometimes too independent, who will do anything for herself and others. We also get a very hot bad boy wolf with some very sexy tattoos and nipple piercing.
MTaiden gets us deeper into the plot, introducing us to some new and interesting characters, and throws in a few surprises along the way. Emma well I was getting a little frustrated with her at the begging, because I felt she was too independently head strong, but we learn why this is and that helped me get past that feeling. As for Mason well I LOVE him. I love all the Wolfe boys and their mother is just one great motherly figure. MTaiden gave us one hell of an ending. SURPRISE!!
I loved The Mate Challenge and I am waiting oh so patiently, not, for the next installment in the Sassy Mates series. If you enjoy hot Alpha werewolves, then this is one you don’t want to miss.

I received an advance copy of this book and was not disappointed! Milly writes wolf shifter stories better than any others I have read. I loved the flow of the story. It had minimal recap which was perfect if you read the first three book and the hot Vegas wedding! The characters continue on the journey to finding their way to mate with one another, there is plenty of action scenes, humor, interaction with new characters (which I think should lead to more new stories, hint hint... Milly!) and it is impossible not to mention the exceptionally well written and hot as hell sex scenes. Milly was very creative in this book and it was the kind of book that you don't put down until you are finished reading it and then you need a cold shower.

Another awesome read! Starts off at the usual starting point at the clearance with Emma and Mason then jumps forward. You get new characters who turn out to be really interesting and you want to read more about them. All the drama and bits and pieces of what’s going on with the other pack going at it is there and makes the read even better. Hot read withal that’s going on with Emma and Mason even though I’d thought Mason would go a bit further with his spicy side. Can’t wait to read the next one.

The steamy works of the awesome Milly Taiden is so captivating. I wait for each and every book to be released.
Sassy Mates is one of the best she has.
Aric and Jordan, Nate and Kayla, Nic and Jake to now Mason and Emma these Wolfe Men are something not to be missed.
The hot sex, dirty talk, and Alpha men are sure to be every woman's best dream. Milly's writing is something not to be missed.
Her whit and fast pace story lines are the best.

What a vivid & in your face story! Taiden takes off and running from the first page and the intensity doesn’t let up throughout. She brings this world to life in a larger-than-life manner that will keep you hooked. Taiden has the ability to make the hottest of moments appear simultaneously sweetly romantic and outright erotic.
Taiden had me snickering alongside the main character from the very beginning. Her straightforward ‘this is who I am’ writing style links you to the characters in an irrevocable way. The combination of shifter & human mentalities divided between the characters made for some very intriguing, but always swoon worthy moments. I loved the fact that Taiden went into a bit of the history between the characters, how they met, how things are between them. You don’t simply get thrown into the middle of the story. You get to swoon alongside the main character as she reminisces.
This novella was definitely a brilliant addition to Taiden’s Sassy Mates series. I loved revisiting characters from previous novels & seeing what they’re up to now, as well as being immersed in the ever increasing suspense of the series.

Milly Taiden is a master at building great romance stories featuring BBW and super sexy men. This book is of course no different. Emma has been fighting the mating bite that Mason has been wanting to put on her. This unfortunately wasn't a standalone so if you hadn't read the previous books you will feel lost on the back story and all the why's. Even without reading the previous books in the series it is a good book.
I love this girl. Emma makes Mason work for it. Milly of course delivers on super steamy bedroom play as well as sexy banter that will make your toes curl. One thing about it though, if a person stumbles on this book they will definitely be reading the rest of the series. My favorite character was Aria, another super strong woman. Milly Taiden writes with passion and it always shows in her books and this one is no different. The words flow as does the story. The characters have sparks and I could connect with them in different ways. All in all this was a great fast read.

We finally get the "sassiest" of the Sassy Mates with Emma and her long-suffering mate Mason, who's been patiently waiting for Emma to accept his mate challenge. As always, Milly Taiden delivers with a great storyline with a strong, but complex female characters and a hero who complements her perfectly. A fun romp, with laughs galore. With the continued conflict between the Rahound pack and the Wolfe pack, some new characters are introduced who fit perfectly within the series. The Mate Challenge is full of smoking hot sex, of course, which Milly has perfected. A great addition to the series. I highly recommend!

Emma and mason are both hard headed. Emma thinks giving in to a man means she is weak or that her female power is diminished. She soon figures out they are stronger as a pair. I love the new twists that this story provided. Twists and turns add more mystery and depth to the sassy books. Yes, rogue wolves and vampires . I loved this book and the new writing rhythm Ms.Taiden works with in this book makes it very refreshing. The intimate scenes are HOT HOT HOT. Just trust me the book is amazing and you should read it.

Mason and Emma are mates and Mason has marked her but Emma is not going down without a fight! Emma is feisty and loves Mason but her past guilt and her independence are keeping her from completing the mating! Emma is one to get herself in trouble, can Mason keep her safe? Will Emma find herself in trouble she can't get out of? Their is danger lurking, betrayal and rivals with plans in motion. Allies will be formed and some new friendships! Love all the characters and Mason and Emma are spectacular together, love their banter!Love this series and can't wait to see where it takes us next!

The thing I love most about these books is the women. They are sassy, spunky and strong. No simpering females here. In this 4th book of the series, we see some awesomness from Mrs. Wolfe, and Emma is great!
"Don't pee on my carpet, mutt." Haha, you'll laugh, you'll sigh and most certainly, see the sexiest scenes ever! This book will have you fanning yourself.
But wait, OMG, the ending, will have you yelling at your reading device in angst for the next book! Yes!!! You need to read this!

I purchased this book as soon as it hit the pre-order button on amazon...this is damn sexy and erotic, love the story and this one was a long time awaiting and it was better then I ever thought possible. This series is such a must have. The way that Milly writes makes u actually see everything in a whole and wonderful erotic fantasy..you will not find another author like her...I love her books and so will you..!

Action, intrigue, romance, deception, you name it this book contains it! Emma has always been independent trying to keep the memories of her family alive by her actions. Mason only wanted to keep her safe. As their story unfolds we find out more and more about what is happening with Caleb's pack and the he lengths Rocco will go to keep it.

2.5 Stars for me!
All Authors... Do you really need to have the h act like a 5 year old in their arguments, make ridiculous life-threatening decisions and complain about men telling them what to do?Example - You can't tell me that I cannot go by myself into a vampire bar in which no human is allowed?
This h made multiple TSTL decisions and was ruled by emotion when making said decisions.
I had to skip past much of the h's dialog as listening to tantrum after tantrum is like nails on a chalkboard.
Did I like the story? Yup.
Are the sex scenes filled with campy dialog? Yup
Do I like the author and her stories? Yup.
I just wish authors would write their h's with intelligent strength. Milly has a very fun and imaginative writing style. Many other authors write TSTL h's which is the reason for my rant. Thanks for hearing me out! 🤔😀

I enjoyed listening to the last brother's getting his mate to finally agree to their relationship. Although their relationship started long before the other three, they were still the last to complete their mating. Emma certainly knows how to give Mason a run for his money. Mason had a few boneheaded moments and Emma certainly had a few oopsie moments herself, but in the end they found the right road to take. I enjoyed meeting the newcomers, Aria and the rogues. I look forward to getting to know more about them. Well done to the author and the narrator. Off to listen to the next book.

I have to admit that Emma surprised me very positively!
In the previous sequels, she was portrayed as completely ocd and a bit of a bully, but actually she has a really nice reason for all that.
And Mason... Congratulations, the story of a man who accepts his partner with all her virtues and flaws!
The sequel is full of action, betrayal, new characters that I like and a beautiful love story that surprised me very nicely... For someone who is tattooed and pirced and a bad boy through and through, he is very sensitive and careful, and for her, who is bossy and hardworking, she is actually very vulnerable, sensitive, loyal and considerate!

I didnt enjoy this one as much as the others. Normally in the series if its changing the POV it's done by chapters or a huge space in between paragraphs. This one was done randomly at times. It also was told in the POV of 2 other characters who have their own story 3 books later in the series. I get it was trying to prepare you for them since they were just thrown into this book and not in any of the previous stories but I didnt like it. Overall it was a good story.

This is an OK shifter romance, but I had trouble liking Emma. She is just too bossy for me. I get that she has OCD tendencies, but that is no excuse for trying to boss everyone else around. I also got a little irritated at Mason -- he seemed to think if they had lots of sex, then he wouldn't need to tell Emma he loved her. That seems to be a problem a lot of the guys in this series have, by the way.

This book like everything that I have read by this author is well written! The storyline keeps you interested from beginning to end. The characters are likeable and blossom when they find their mate! Love the audio option.

Emma and Mason
I enjoyed reading Emma and Mason's story. Emma's backstory with her family made me tear up a little. Very excited to meet ARIA and learn about her and the vampire lore.
