This had popped up a few times on my goodreads feed a few times this week, couldn't ignore it, so I took that plunge and one clicked, and never looked back. It seems masked stalkers 🔪 are my kryptonite..

This reeled me in straight away, the author dangled that hook, and I took it, one tug and I was eating out of the palm of her hand. I can’t believe I’ve not come across her before. Her writing style, and use of words flowed perfectly.

THEN: From the age of 8, Lily was immersed within the two Walker brothers (Bentley (15) & Lincoln's (11) lives, every summer (as the housekeeper's daughter) it seemed she was right by their sides which didn't change until the age of sixteen when her life changed within the blink of an eye in the most horrific, betrayal as possible, and every thing she'd held sacred was snapped away with a snap of a finger. The boys she'd grown to love like her own were no longer by her side, cast aside as though she no longer existed to them, she became a shell of who she had been.

Finally finding the strength she needed and to heal all the broken parts of herself she headed off to college with a full scholarship to Colt University, finally thinking she'd left her past behind her and this was the fresh start she desperately needed.

She's swiftly enfoled within a close knit friendship with her roommate (Bethany) and her brother (Justin) Lily doesn't trust so easily and these two seemed to pick up on that and protected her whenever they could. Life seemed to be settling down. Until she came under the radar of a masked stalker (Titan) in the shadows he stood, waiting, watching, stalking, who seemed to go out of his way to whisper warnings in her ear but then protected her when her past came back with a vengeance.

As part of Goliath, a secret society born in the shadows, Titan is what you'd class as a cleaner, he goes in and kills and destroys undesirables.

This was sick, twisted, dark and I was there every step of the way, twists and turns kept me glued to the pages, my heart and head at war, as I tiptoed where her masked stalker led us.

I was expecting more heat due to the build up but sadly that was done and dusted within the blink of an eye which kind of wasn't what I was expecting or even hoping for, I wanted, craved, needed more of that connection to come through.

I loved these characters, and was rooting for Justin and was hoping against all hope that those two would become an item, but when her stalker revealed himself, game over! Justin who!?! Though I do hope he gets his own slice of happiness and his own story, because I’d be there with bells on. 65451226-2019570151487824-6157464638251335680-n

🌶🌶 (yeah, low and almost underwhelming in a dark romance)
🔥🔥🔥

Lily grew up a happy kid and teenager until one life-changing moment shattered everything. After that, she became a shell of herself. When she finally decided to take the first steps toward healing and went off to college, she never thought her past would follow her there. She also didn’t expect to find real friends… or a dark, mysterious stalker who seems determined to protect her.

The plot in this book was so good. We’ve got Justin, Bentley, Lincoln, and Titan as the MMCs, and let me tell you, this is not a why choose story. The author does such a great job weaving all four men into Lily’s journey that I was constantly trying to guess where things were going. Each one plays an important role in her life, shaping her experience in different ways. Lily is just trying to keep her head down, focus on her degree, and work toward becoming a journalist, but somehow she attracts men everywhere she turns. She wants to be invisible, yet people are drawn to her without her even trying.

What really made this book stand out to me was how unique it felt compared to other dark romances. The story switches perspectives mostly between Lily, Titan, and Justin, which builds tension and adds to the mystery. There’s no messy love triangle, but there is definitely push and pull as each character deals with their feelings for Lily. It’s clear who the main couple is, but the other relationships add layers and make things messy in the best way.

And the ending? Perfect. The last chapter tied everything up so well that I finished the book both smiling and a little heartbroken. 🖤

Now for the spice. Yes, it’s open door, but it is very short. Like blink-and-it’s-over short. That’s where it lost half a star for me. The build-up was there and I was ready for a few longer, more explicit scenes, but it just didn’t happen. The plot more than makes up for it, but I still wanted more in that department to match the emotional intensity of the story.

Overall, this was such a refreshing and addictive read. It’s dark, layered, and so different from anything else I’ve read in the genre.

It’s past 3 a.m. and I’ve just turned the last page and all I can say is: Iris T. Cannon outdid herself. Wow. What a book. “Shocking” doesn’t even begin to cover it. I thought I knew what to expect going in, but nothing could have prepared me for this ride. From the very first pages, it moves you and by that I mean it makes you feel, a lot!
Lily’s story is heartbreaking. At sixteen, she was betrayed and hurt by the very people she thought were family. Moving forward with her life wasn’t easy, but she pushed through with determination, focusing on college and survival. Yet her past wouldn’t let her go; it kept finding her.
In the shadows, though, someone was always watching. Titan. His life’s mission is to punish those who commit horrific crimes that slip through the cracks of the law. Protecting Lily becomes his mission, too. Scarred and masked, hiding himself from the world, Titan belongs to a secret vigilante-like society. When danger closes in, he takes Lily away to keep her safe.
And that’s when it happens, she falls for him. Her stalker. Her protector. Her monster.
This book is dark, darker than some of Iris’s darkest works. It’s also creepy in the best way, as if you were right there beside Lily through every betrayal, every moment of fear, every shocking twist. The descriptions are so real, so raw, that you don’t just read them, you live them. You feel Titan’s hunger for revenge, the weight of the secrets, and the jaw-dropping turns that keep coming when you least expect them.
The atmosphere is chilling, the emotions cut deep, and even the side characters shine, especially Justin. What a great character. He added so much depth, and I really hope he gets his own book. He deserves it.
I can’t get into more details because I’d risk spoiling it for you, but step into this pitch-dark romance knowing it will break you and then rebuild you into someone new. You won’t be the same after reading it. And the end? The best.
Creeping Lily is haunting, immersive, and unforgettable. This isn’t just a story; it’s an experience. Iris, I already loved your writing, but this is another level completely. Wow again.

O.M.G..
At first, I thought this book was gonna be a DNF cause it was hard to get into. But I kept going cause no one really wants to DNF a book.. BUT, I'm so glad I kept going.. I won't go into much of it cause I'd probably spoil it for everyone.. but the relationship between everyone was deliciously good. It's great how a book can pull you in & get all emotions out..

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC rating: Creeping Lily is dark, twisty, and impossible to put down.

Poor Lily. This girl lives in a world of silence, abuse, and control, and it is absolutely heart wrenching to watch her carry it all. Secrets pile up, shadows follow her everywhere, and the people who should protect her? Yeah, not so much. Power and control rules here, and it is ugly.

Now, the stalker guy. Who is he? Why has he been lurking in the dark, always close enough to notice but never close enough to name? Lily keeps catching whiffs of his yumminess without even realizing it is him, and honestly, same girl, same. One page I was suspicious, the next I was like, “Okay mysterious stranger, you smell good, tell me more.” The question lingers the whole way through, and when the reveal hit, my heart sank. Iris T. Cannon really said, “Here is the truth, now suffer.”

This story is twist after twist, characters connecting in shocking ways that had me gasping, rereading entire paragraphs, and mumbling “what just happened” at my poor Kindle. Betrayal cuts deep, obsession drives everything, and the tension never lets up.

And the ending… wow. It broke me in the best way. A character who loved Lily accepts his loss but still chooses to keep her safe, and it was as heartbreaking as it was powerful. Painful, yes, but also exactly the kind of ending that makes you close the book and just sit there thinking about it long after.

Creeping Lily is a dark, unsettling story that pulls you in right away. Lily’s innocence being taken is heartbreaking, and it changes not only her life but also the lives of everyone around her. The way her character develops through that pain feels raw and real.

What stood out most for me was Lincoln. His love brings warmth and light into such a dark and gruesome story. No matter how heavy things get, his devotion shows that love can survive even in the hardest places.

This book is haunting, emotional, and unforgettable. If you like stories that mix darkness with deep character growth and powerful love, this is a must-read

The plot seems super interesting, but I’ve made it to 44% and I’m so bored . The story is getting lost in the metaphors. Like everything is written as a metaphor. There is an entire chapter where literally nothing happens bc it’s just metaphors literally that’s all it is. Like I don’t wanna keep going . I already know it’s Lincoln. I wanna see her reaction but I literally cannot continue

So I continued and we don’t even get a response bc too much is happening in the scene for her to be able to react to the news which is so annoying

a few things..

This book could’ve been cut down by at least 100 pages if half of the million metaphors were cut out. There doesn’t need to be metaphors in almost every sentence. There were also a few things that were contradictive, spoiler from here: when Lincoln is recounting how he found the purchase papers in the lodge and called his mom to ask if she knew, he says that she didn’t know, but a few chapters later, Lincoln says his mom smothered her own baby and his father purchased a new baby to replace the dead one. So how would his mother not know? Because of the overuse of metaphors, the pacing in the book was also pretty slow.

Iris has simply out done herself with Creeping Lily, as I literally could not put it down! To say it consumed me is seriously an understatement.
It was deliciously dark and haunting, which had me on tenterhooks throughout the book. It was retribution, salvation, redemption rolled into one neat package, tempting you to open it... And did this book deliver? Oh yes it did!

The book starts with Lily who is 8 years old, tagging along with her mum who is the house keeper for the US Senator. Lily ends up befriending both the Senators sons, Bentley and Lincoln. Although a few years older, Lucy looks up to them both like brothers she's never had.

Fast forward the years and Lily is now 16... But suddenly her innocence is cruelly ripped from her, leaving her a shell of her former self. Bentley and Lincoln - both unable to bear the guilt of not being able to protect Lily, leave town never to return back.

The story then proceeds with Lily who manages to pick herself up and attend college. She lives with the ghosts of her past and holds everyone at arms length. When Lily is attacked one night on the way back to her dorm, a masked stranger comes to the rescue. Little does she know, this man has been stalking her and would do anything for her, just to keep her safe.

Titan aka Lily's stalker lives and breathes for her. She is his obsession, his woman and the one he will die protecting. Lily doesn't know who he is nor where he came from... But one thing she's not is scared of him. Her tortured soul recognises his and the two have a unlikely connection that surpasses logic.

However, weird things start happening around campus and Lily is getting spooked out. Bentley also decides to rock up into town, who she hasn't heard from or seen since that night. She doesn't trust him nor his motives for appearing back into her life. Titan, the masked vigilante and her protector, must stop Bentley because it seems Lily is a problem Bentley's more than happy to erase...

Let me just say WOW!?! This book had ME obsessed! I loved Titan, hands down! He was just an enigma that I couldn't wait to unravel. His creepy obsession with Lily was strangely hot and the sizzling chemistry between them both was just 🔥 Titan's protectiveness of Lily was just off the scales but although he was intense, he never made Lily anxious or scared, but oddly comforting.

Lily on the other hand has lived a haunting few years, just existing but not truly living. However, she finds a bestie in her roommate Bethany and her brother, Justin who becomes family to her. Justin was such a dream to Lily, who became her close friend and someone she could rely on. Their growing friendship was such a joy to read 🥰

Despite Justins unrequited love for Lily, he still looks out for her. Seeing her happy made him happy, despite the circumstances.... I just hope he gets his story! *Wink wink, Iris*

This book is highly recommended for those who love their men morally grey, obsessive and wouldn't hesitate to burn the world down to keep you safe 🩶.

Wow this was a heart breaking read!! Check your triggers people! Cuz there’s a lot of them in this story. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot of this book along with the character growth and detailed timeline for everything that happened between Lily and Lincoln. The mystery and the thrill of the unknown was perfect and the trauma was heavy! I’d really love to see Justin get his own happy ending. Poor guy. I was hoping she could have both guys but realized this isn’t a why choose book. Just MF and that’s okay because Lily and Lincoln (Titan) were always twin flames regarlesss of the time they lost, the distance didn’t make a difference once they were reunited. Even though Lily didn’t know who her stalker really was she felt that instant magnetic pull to him and felt that familiar bond they shared. Like when she said “I feel like I knew you in another life.” At that point I had no doubt who Titan really was. Justin could’ve been good for Lily but her soul was already claimed, almost like her name was already written in the stars with Linc’s. That kind of unconditional love and history just couldn’t be beat. Plus after everything Linc went through just to keep her safe, he earned his place by her side. Trick was a creep, I didn’t like him. Him and that other creepy chick that was obsessed with him are more suited for each other. Bethany was a great friend for Lily and I hope they keep their friendship going because Lily will need a loyal girl best friend that she can talk to about things Linc wouldn’t necessarily be super interested in. Bentley and his father were both a piece of work! But Titan got his revenge and his own vigilante form of justice was served! The trash was taken out like trash. lol Lily had a rough life with all the trauma she experienced and the drama, hatred, and evil people that she attracted. Her and Lincoln both ended up being broken but together they were whole because their pieces just fit together. Their love for eachother was endless. That ending was sad for Justin but he could see how real their love was and accepted the fact that he wouldn’t be the one that would get to live by her side. No matter how much that hurt him, his love and loyalty to her held absolutely no conditions. Which is why I believe he deserves his own happy ending with someone that will love him as much as Lily loves Titan because he has such big heart and that kind of character just deserves to be taken care of like it’s something precious!!

One night of betrayal shatters not only Lily’s innocence, but also her faith in the very people she thought would protect her. Watching her navigate the aftermath, marked by raw pain and deep depression, is heartbreaking, yet beneath her quiet exterior lies a resilience that refuses to be extinguished. That strength eventually carries her forward, propelling her into a new chapter at college. Enter Bethany, her spirited roommate. Protective yet delightfully pushy, Bethany is the perfect BFF to coax Lily out of her shell. And when she introduces Lily to her brother, Justin, sparks of romance flicker in the air, though Justin carries secrets of his own. Just as Lily starts to lower her guard, the shadows of her past creep closer. Someone is watching her, and danger is never far behind. Then there’s Titan. A masked killer. Judge, jury, and executioner for Goliath, a covert organization devoted to punishing the monsters who slip through society’s cracks. Brutal, efficient, and terrifyingly silent, Titan should inspire nothing but fear. Yet when it comes to Lily, his lethal focus shifts toward protecting her. It’s as if he knows what’s coming, and he’s prepared to be her shield, even if it means crossing every line. Paradoxically, though he’s the most dangerous man she’s ever met, she has never felt safer than in his presence. Iris masterfully keeps the tension humming on every page. You never know where the next lightning strike will land. The threads of love, loss, vengeance and redemption are woven together into a climax that feels both explosive and inevitable. This story is raw and unflinching, never afraid to step into the darkness, yet it carries a sliver of light that makes hope feel possible. Two of my favorite quotes capture it best:
“It guts me. But it settles something deep inside me. Because I know. I know no one will ever love her like he does. And no one will ever keep her safe the way he can.”
“Because when I look at them now – her hand brushing against his arm as they walk, his head tilting down just enough to catch her voice – I don’t see something I’ve lost. I see something worth protecting. Even if it costs me everything.”
This isn’t just a romance or a thriller—it’s an emotional storm that tests the limits of love, loyalty, and survival.

★★★★☆ (4/5)

Dark. Broken. Beautiful. Creeping Lily is a gritty, emotional romance that sinks its claws into you and refuses to let go.

I went into Creeping Lily expecting a dark romance, what I didn’t expect was how raw and aching it would feel.

The story follows a survivor, a woman haunted by trauma, betrayal, and a past that refuses to let her breathe. She’s not a caricature of a “damaged heroine” either; Iris T. Cannon writes her with such care that you feel her pain, her fear, her small victories. The author doesn’t flinch away from the hard stuff, but she also doesn’t sensationalize it. It’s gritty, yes, but grounded.

And then there’s him. The man in the mask. The monster who turns out to be the only one who sees her. He’s dangerous, quiet, utterly terrifying, and somehow the safest place she’s ever been. Cannon writes him with a tension that’s palpable, every glance, every word (or silence), every touch feels like it could snap. And yet, underneath the brutal surface, there’s something heartbreakingly tender.

What I loved:
• The chemistry. It’s not your standard “bad boy saves the girl” situation. Their bond feels earned, built through fear, silence, trust, and mutual brokenness.
• The writing. Poetic in places, raw in others. It’s the kind of book that gives you lines you want to underline, not because they’re flowery, but because they hurt in the right way.
• The pacing. It keeps you hooked, part psychological suspense, part slow-burn romance.

What held me back from 5 stars:
• The world-building around the masked man’s “occupation” was a little hazy at times. I wanted more context about his past or how he ended up the way he is.
• Some of the emotional beats felt a little rushed toward the end, especially when things started to unravel. I just wanted more time in those key moments.

But still, this book stayed with me. It’s the kind of story that whispers to you long after you finish it. Painful, powerful, and strangely hopeful in all the darkness.

If you’re a fan of dark romance with real emotional depth, tortured protectors, and women who fight like hell to reclaim their power, Creeping Lily is worth your time. Just… be ready to feel it.

Well I was a big fan before this book and after walking through the fire that was this book I am still standing in her light. I thought she wrote mafia romances, but this, this is something different, something darker, something more intense and fierce than I ever saw coming. I am forever changed by this book.

Please read the trigger warnings. There was not many but they were big ones and they were graphic. I had a hard time getting through some of it, not because I’ve gone through it but because as a woman I can imagine the nightmare and brokenness Lily went through.

This book is 100% stalker vibes, think Haunting Adeline. Masked stalker, but he doesn’t force her, he protects, he obsesses, he loves the only way he knows how, by dropping bodies in her name. Killing her nightmares who walk free.

This book has betrayal, family drama, kidnapping, a stalker, murder, and freedom to change who you are after walking through the storm.

I was hooked from the start with this one and had to put it down a couple times during the heavy and clear my head. I’m glad I made it through to the end. It was a ride for sure but totally worth it. I had a feeling I knew who the stalker was and I was right. It made my heart happy that he found her.

If you’ve never read anything by Iris T Cannon go grab one of her books and get reading. Don’t just add her to your tbr, I promise you’ll find what you’re looking for.

I can’t recommend her books enough, and while one wasn’t at all what I was expecting after reading her mafia romances it was just as well written. She puts a lot of time into character development. You really get to know and feel for these characters, through their joy, heartbreak and trauma.

This book was very dark from the beginning. If you’re looking for something a little less dark but still exciting check out her mafia series books, the Gatti Brothers or her enforcer series that goes along with the Gatti Brothers. They were amazing and I’ve reread them all at least twice now.

Some stories don’t just hurt, they haunt. Creeping Lily is one of them.

This isn’t a fairytale dressed in shadows. This is blood on lace, innocence ripped apart, and the brutal reminder that sometimes monsters wear the faces we trust most. Iris T. Cannon didn’t hand me a book; she handed me a blade and dared me to bleed with Lily and I did.

Every page cut me open.

The pacing is jagged, fast, unrelenting and it works. Trauma doesn’t move slowly. It doesn’t wait for you to catch up. It drowns you in chaos until you can’t tell the days apart. That’s exactly how this book felt. At first, I stumbled. Then I realized I was meant to stumble, because Lily never stood on steady ground.

Lily herself is tragedy incarnate. She is innocence devoured and rebuilt in shards of glass. To survive, she learns the oldest, cruelest truth: the only thing that can stop a monster…. is a darker one. Watching her fold into herself, then claw her way back, was agony. She didn’t trust. She didn’t forgive. She didn’t heal cleanly. She bled through every step, and I loved her all the more for it.

The twists were venomous. Just when I thought I had caught my breath, Iris crushed my chest again. I cried until my eyes burned, and still I kept reading because even in the shadows, there was something magnetic. Something dangerous. Something that whispered: keep going.

This book doesn’t hand out hope like a gift, it claws it from the wreckage, bleeding and trembling, daring you to believe in it. The happy ending here isn’t soft or easy; it’s scarred, jagged, and stitched together with pain. But it’s real, and that makes it all the more powerful.

Read the warnings, because they are not gentle suggestions. This story will tear you open, bury you in the dark, and then force you to crawl toward the faintest light. And when you reach it, you’ll know why I gave it 5 stars.

Not for comfort, not for sweetness but for the haunting beauty of surviving hell and still finding a reason to stay alive.

I felt like this book took off quickly. It did a wonderful job of diving right in to the dark, emotional topics. You get glimpses of Lily's healing journey, just enough to help you understand her and where she's at mentally by the time she starts at Colt.

During the glimpses into Lily's past, we get to explore the close relationship she had with two brothers, Bentley and Lincoln. You get enough to know that those relationships were so important and helped shape the characters into who they became. We also got to see the way their relationship shattered after the horrible incident Lily experienced.

Lily makes strong friendships with Bethany and Justin, a sibling duo who are fantastic. Both characters are charming and protective. Lily also has a stalker, who is as protective as he is obsessed. There is a twist with Titan that I guessed from the moment he entered the story. That said, it didn't take away from the story or the big reveal later. It was beautifully done.

I do wish this story gave us some closure with Trick and what was going on there. I mean, Justin even received a warning about him from Goliath, but it just kind of felt like we moved on without exploring more of that situation. I also wish the story offered more background on Goliath. It's vaguely brought up every time, but I would love to know HOW the characters got involved. Yes, they wanted justice and yes, they made good soldiers. But how did they find Goliath? Or did Goliath find them? I love some good backstory.

Overall, I loved this. It was a very enjoyable read. Emotional, dark, and beautifully written.

I want to thank Booksirens and Iris T Cannon for this free ARC of Creeping Lily. The following is my honest review.

Fans of Haunting and Hunting Adeline listen up!

The plot:
Lily grows up with the Walter Brothers Lincoln and Bentley. Both brothers fall for her, and she admires them too, until one tragic night changes everything. After three years, Lily manages to finally lead a normal life and go away for college, where she encounters a hot masked stalker who does everything in his power to protect her from all evil.
Everyone must check TW before reading, this book is a dark romance with some very heavy and sensitive topic, read with care! <3

My opinion:
Wow, this book took me on a rollercoaster ride, with so many twists and turns! I was hooked! I especially enjoyed the different POVs, it really helped connect to the characters! If you loved Haunting/Hunting Adeline, you will really enjoy this too!
Rating: 3.5/5⭐️ and 1.5/5🌶️ (not super spicy for a dark romance)

What could have improved the book for me (potential SPOILERS):
- It felt a bit too long at times. Some scenes were repetitive and could have been trimmed.
- I liked Justin as a character but I don't feel like he was extremely essential (unless there is a sequel with more of his story, I would a 100% read that)!
- I wasn't a huge fan of every male character falling for Lily

Overall, I’m glad I read it and would definitely check out more from this author!

Iris has out done herself! Once again she has delivered a dark, twisted and creepy stalkerish rollercoaster of a book.

From the very first page you are thrown into Lily's heartbreaking trauma. She has been betrayed both the people who are supposed to love you the most, family.

But a masked man vigilante is watching, in the shadows he gets justice by punishing those who have done crimes, for the victims he is the justice. Looking out for Lily has become his obsession, his mission. For Lily he is her monster, in time her everything. A masked man vigilante, whats not to love!

There are three other male characters involved in the book, all interlaced with Lily. I loved the mystery, intrigue and twisted edge of your seat bare bones of this book. I couldn't get enough!

Intensive, alpha males are what Ivy does best, be it mafia men, fantasy kings or college students. All of her leading men are controlled, protective men. And her leading ladies, although having been through traumatic journeys in their lives, they come out fighting . They see the light, alongside a strong mate. This is Lily's journey, she does reach the light at the end of the tunnel. A beautiful end to her journey.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I had to sit with this one for a couple of days after reading. I didn’t know if I could find words to adequately convey how ‘Creeping Lily’ was so brilliantly written.

The characters and their stories left my nerves raw and my soul feeling hollowed out. I could feel the lies and betrayals seeping through my skin and poisoning my blood. Every page felt like a wrong turn in a never ending nightmarish maze. The written words let me experience the story as if I was in the room with the characters, hearing their voices, feeling their emotions.

‘Creeping Lily’ is a violent, dark story. None of the characters will come out the other side unscathed. And if you can handle the trigger warnings, I encourage you to read it.

The following is written before Chapter 1 begins, and it’s a powerful representation of the journey Iris T. Cannon takes you on.

The past is a graveyard of broken names, its tragedies carved deep in stone. But you are not the tomb, nor the ruin left behind. You are the fire that walks away—scarred, yes, but unclaimed.

10/10 RECOMMEND.

Heartbreaking. Raw. Beautiful.

So many words I could use to describe ‘Creeping Lily’—yet, I doubt I could ever truly find the appropriate words to describe the utter tragedy and rebirth experienced reading this book. It really is a lovely book—once you get past all the horrendous trauma. I haven’t read anything this original that pulled at my heart like this since Rush by Emma Scott.

I’ve been following this author for about a year now, so when I saw she released a new book, I made sure to read it, especially since her last two books were fantastic! I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book since it’s a departure from her mafia series, but I decided to give it a try.

Stalker romances are not my favorite trope, but multiple positive factors help this book get to 4 stars. For example, the detailed plot-driven story and the twists and turns were amazing, and the fierceness and strength of the female protagonist, Lily, were unmatched after everything she’s been through. Her determination to return to her “normal” life was impressive, and she was great at standing up to bullies.

However, the reason I’m giving this book 4 stars instead of 5 is that stalker romances aren’t my favorite genre, even though I did enjoy the book. I thought the idea of Titan protecting her was intriguing, but his kidnapping and keeping her in the dark was frustrating. I knew the twist that was coming, and I felt like she needed to know sooner. On a lighter note , I did enjoy the final third of the book and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! Can’t wait to see what the author has next!

I haven't read too much from Iris but what I did was phenomenal. The detail in which she writes, transports you in the book and makes you feel part of it. I received an email offering an ARC of a dark story.  I read the blurb, acknowledged the possible triggers and thought I'd read it. I didn't know what to expect but she hasn't let me down yet. I'm not sure I can express the depth of this book. It's so much more than a dark, violent story with complex characters. It's a journey that takes you from the highs in life, being happy, loved and oblivious to the evil in the world, to the lows of pain, violence, betrayal. The subsequent journey is one of putting the broken pieces back together to rebuild a life. The truly frightening takeaway from this fictional story is that in a lot of ways, this could be reality in today's world. For as dark as the story is,  it's also a story of triumph of the human spirit. Incredible book.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Lily doesn’t just survive—she haunts. After enduring an unspeakable tragedy, she’s left to navigate the wreckage alone, abandoned by those who should have held her close. What follows is a raw, unflinching descent into desire, shame, and the kind of feminine power that makes men lose their minds. Lily is a siren in soft skin, craving things she’s been taught to fear, drawing in every man around her like moths to a flame—and then daring them to burn.

What makes Creeping Lily unforgettable isn’t just the chaos—it’s the quiet ache beneath it. Lily’s hunger, her loneliness, her need to be seen and wanted, all feel devastatingly real. She’s messy, magnetic, and painfully relatable. If you’ve ever felt too much, wanted too hard, or been punished for your softness, Lily will feel like a mirror.

Iris T. Cannon writes with the kind of emotional precision that leaves bruises. This book doesn’t ask for your sympathy—it demands your surrender. And you’ll give it willingly.

Thank you to author Iris T Cannon, and Book sirens for the ARC copy of this book.
Six and a half hours reading time gives the reader an awesome story of secrets, intrique and death. I loved this book!
Lily is 'the helps" daughter, and gets to spend time at the big house while on school holidays. The two sons of Senator Tom Walker, Lincoln and Bently, have grown up with Lily, thinking of her as their little sister.
Everything seems perfect, but it doesn't take long to realise something is amiss. One of the brothers quickly shows his 'true colours " and things turn nasty pretty quickly.

This story is edge of your seat reading, and the secrets just keep coming thick and fast. It's a story I would definitely read again, and would like to see more follow up, Justin particularly, Goliath, both need their stories told!

Very well written story, and definitely kept me on my toes!

ARC review!

The author said “Do you want a good guy? There really isn’t one in this book”.

In my opinion there was, but the good one absolutely doesn’t get a HEA.

This book felt heavy of a mixture of all the university/secret society vibes, but with small hints of the edge of darkness series.

Deep past traumas, warped political characters, and many men after the MFC affection.
Definitely check trigger warnings before reading. But overall most of the triggers are in the beginning. The spice had a good pace and definitely wasn’t the focus of the plot.
I found myself somewhat confused on how fast she falls for the MMC stalker considering how focused the writing was on her trauma in the beginning.
It was also a bit easy to tell who it was and why it was more of a vigilante themed story but with a love interest.

Overall I enjoyed this book, but felt bummed by the ending. Possibly a book 2 but with Justin as a MMC? He definitely deserves a hea after all he did in this book.

I really enjoyed most of this book, especially the college aspects and relationships made in college and when Lily was younger. The stalker scenes were kind of hot at times, but the spice in general in this book would end too quickly and there wasn’t enough spicy scenes for my taste. There were some parts that I found harder to read, not because of triggers (because I have yet to find any triggers that actually bother me and I tend to read books because of trigger warnings and look for certain tropes and I do enjoy reading dark romance novels), but because I found certain parts of the book more boring or repetitive (mostly during Titan’s chapters)… but there were lots of great parts in the book too. I’m glad that I stuck it out and read the entire book, as somewhere in the middle it was harder to get through for a little while.

Slow Burn, Dark Obs€ssion—Worth Every Page

Okay besties, let me spill: "Creeping Lily" by Iris T. Cannon had me questioning EVERYTHING. Lily’s past? Straight-up traumatic (like, please read those content warnings first). Because of that, this is a sloooooowww burn with only a touch of spice, but don’t let that fool you—it’s dark, suspenseful, and dripping with intensity.

I won’t lie, in the beginning I was like, “Wait… where is this even going?” But stick with it. Trust me, the payoff is chef’s kiss. The way Cannon weaves obs€ssion, love, and psychological edge into Lily and Titan’s story is hauntingly beautiful. It’s not your typical dark college romance—it digs deep and lingers.

And listen… I need a Book 2. Specifically for Justin. Because wow.

BROUGHT TO THE BRINK AND HAULED BACK

Lincoln, Titan, Justin, Bentley and Lily. Shes a survivor. He wears a mask.

Shes betrayed. Shes healed on the outside but not on the inside. It follows her everywhere. Her story will rip your heart out and put it back piece by breakable bleeding piece. One man ruined her by taking her safety. A man who's time hasnt come yet. A man whose a monster that saves but once a monster always a monster.

Very emotional. Tramatization. Dont see it coming. A double. A villian to crush all other villians. Friends and friends that are just downright frightening. A lot of intriguing secondary charecters that keep things interesting and full of twists and dark evil people. This is a book that you will have to, but dont want to, put down. I read all night till I literally feel asleep and when I woke I started again. Please take the triggers to heart.

4/5 ⭐️
2/5 🌶️

*Please read all trigger and content warnings before reading.

This book pulls you in right from the start. It's a hard read at times because of the emotions and plot. Lily is a broken, damaged girl after the unimaginable happens. Wanting to rebuild her life, she goes to college. She starts to build relationships and moves on, but something is still lurking and still in the shadows, wanting her.

I almost DNF'd when I thought this was going to be a love triangle, and those are not my jam. But it wasn't, thankfully, but I did like how there were perspectives from both the MCs and one of the main side characters.

The spice I felt was appropriate for this story. Now, it is a dark romance, so if you were looking for a book with lots of spice, this won't be it.

I really loved reading this book the emotional roller-coaster throughout the book, the story has so many Triggers and the way this book was written you felt Lily's pain. Lily ends up with depression, while the rich family her mother cleans for got away unscathed. Lincoln has been close to Lily until one fateful night Bentley and his friends hurt her, Lincoln doesn't want to be near his family especially his brother he could kill him. Lincoln and his family threw her aside, now she is on her own. Lily received a scholarship a full ride to Colt University, now at uni will she ever feel safe and loved or will different people break her.

I would recommend this book, if you could get through the triggers which are listed at the start of this book.

I'm fast becoming a big fan of Iris T. Cannon's work and this one definitely pushed me closer to that. This stalker romance tells the story between a deadly MMC who kills without flinching and watches his obsession from the dark and an FMC who is broken nearly beyond repair that cannot stop her own pull and curiosity towards the man in the shadows. This is a well written and greatly paced stalker romance with phenomenal spice and characters that are complexed, nuanced, and engaging. It was a fight to put it down to do my required lift things. Overall, it's a fantastic story told with precision and finesse and I would definitely recommend to those that love to immersed themselves in the world of obsession and dangerous love. Highly recommended.
