From the author of the African American romance series Taken by a Wealthy Man and Pregnant by a Down South Millionaire comes a heart-tugging small-town country love story set in Magnolia Falls, Alabama.
He lost his forever once—and he won’t risk his daughter’s heart again. In Magnolia Falls, Khalif is steady, protective, the single father everyone can count on. Since losing Simone, love has felt like a luxury he can’t afford.
But then there’s her.
Running from the noise of Atlanta, Remedi shows up on Aunt Reese’s porch to start over. Men? She takes them with a grain of salt—until the day she calms a frightened horse and crosses paths with the one man this town swears is impossible to move.
She wasn’t supposed to mean anything. But her laugh softens him. Her steady hands settle him. Her name starts to feel like what it is—a remedy.
She should keep her distance. Keep her secrets. But what do you do when the only place you feel safe is in the arms of the man you promised yourself you wouldn’t need?
Two souls, both hiding what hurts, find something gentle in a place built on front-porch truth and second chances. Dinners turn into late-night talks. Favors turn into feelings. Magnolia Falls starts to feel like home—for both of them.
Until the truth about why Remedi came to town surfaces—and play turns dangerous. One decision will change the life Khalif has built for Khali, the future Remedi is finally brave enough to want, and the love they’re both terrified to lose.
If you love city-girl meets country-boy chemistry, single-father protectors, and African American small-town romance with real heart and real stakes, Saved By A Small Town Country Boy will pull you in and refuse to let go.
Now Taniece why on god’s green EARTH 🌍 would you do us like that at the end. It’s so many people that I want to jump through this book and tell them a piece of my mind… let’s start with Kandence now girl what is you doing down there trying to make your grown daughter come home my the business that pays you lady. Maya your doing too much you were simply something to do you knew that Khalif had no interest in you outside of the bedroom. Ms Booble Head Bobbi your little young naive delusional tail self you were only the babysitter no more and no less.. and Mitchell get over it your brother deserved exactly what he got. RIP WHITENY.. and I’m praying for Khalif Remdei and I hope Khali made that 3rd shot and she bussed Mitchell down. TANIECE when is book 2 dropping girlfriend hit me up on TikTok and let me know @lekimberlygivens THANK YOU
Remedi is on the run from her past. Officer Sinclair and Bobbi are jealous of Remedi because Khalif. Bobbi is delusional as all get. Khalif is ready to open his heart again. Remedi got him feeling things, he experienced with his wife Simone. Khali is taken with Remedi, she wants her daddy to marry her and she doesn't like anyone. Reece and Creed are childish but they are made for each other. Mitchell needs to get dealt with. Khalif is a country boy with a lot of hood in him. All of this could have been avoided if Remedi just had told Khalif. Who killed Simone, it sounds like it had something to do with Khalif illegal business? Officer Sinclair and Bobbi think if got dirt on Remedi, Khalif would choose either of them. Nope
4.5 ⭐️. Khalif is a single father grieving the love of his life and the mother of his child. It’s been two years and the last thing on his mind is moving on no matter what anyone says. His daughter and his farm are his main concern. Then here comes Remedi. City girl on the run from her own problems. These two lock eyes and a connection can’t be denied even though they try. They start to build a bond, but both are living a life most know nothing about. The past has come knocking so one question remains. Will they make it out unscathed?
I give this a ten! It had the right amount of conflict, drama, spice, delusions, and humor. It even brought out a tear from me, lol! I loved everything about the book, but got upset when Remedi started acting childish about withholding information from Khalif. Well, once I figured out, I laughed and I see why. Then, I thought it was over but come on Sheriff and then the cliffhanger. I'm hooked for sure and I guess I'll be hanging until the author drops part 2. Loved the story once again!
Girl this all could have been avoided if she would have told Khalif soon as the guy threatened her but she decided to scope the place out.......now she got Maya and Bobbi on her trail trying to get her out of the way. Now I'm pretty sure Remedi is pregnant, he been diving in raw since their first encounter. I hope Khali is okay and that Remedi handles Mitchell just like she did his brother.
This book is so good. I love the characters. It's the kind of read where you just know something is about to happen. A lot of stuff is going on in Magnolia. Khalif is a single father raising his daughter. He's truly about that life. Remedi doesn't play either. These two together are a slow burn. With the help of the supporting characters, it's fire. What a pleasure it is reading your books.
That ending has my mouth wide open. Taniece you never ceases to amaze me. You did the darn thing with this book. I enjoyed this book from the beginning to end. I'm loving me some Khalif. I cant wait to read part 2. This is most definitely a must read. P.S. Not in the church 😂. I highly recommend it....
Why Remedi!!!!!!? I really hope she didn't set Khalif up like that. He was willing to take her in and help her with her situation. I hope there is some kind of excuse to explain what happened. Ion like Mya or Bobbi. They some thirsty hos and Bobbi azz delusional. I just hope Khalif pulls through
My goodness, Kalif has to be Okay and Khali too! Poor Remedi she wanted justice for her bestie and put herself him some mess! Between the sheriff and the nanny I don't know who is worst when it comes to their hate for Remedi! I just know its about to go down and Creed is going to take care of business along with Reese!
Yes, I do know that you have a talent for a wonderful cliffhangers and I should prepare myself and I don’t! Just the right amount of spice, suspense, jealousy, drama to keep you hooked in wanting more!
City Girl Remedi and Single dad country boy Khalif
Taniece definitely know how to end with a bombshell of a cliffhanger! I absolutely love them together they was so drawn to each other that they couldn’t stay away from each other.
The story follows Khalif, a single father who's been grieving the loss of his partner for two years. He's dedicated to raising his daughter and managing his farm, but his life is turned upside down when he meets Remedi, a city girl who's running from her own problems.
As they lock eyes, there's an undeniable connection between them, but they're both hesitant to act on it. Despite their initial resistance, they start to form a bond, and I was completely invested in their journey. The author masterfully weaves together their stories, slowly revealing the secrets they've kept hidden for so long.
What I loved most about this book is the way it explores the complexities of love, loss, and healing. Khalif's character is particularly well-developed, and his struggles as a single father are both heartbreaking and relatable. The romance between Khalif and Remedi is sweet and tender, but it's also fraught with challenges that keep you on the edge of your seat.
The ending is a total cliffhanger, leaving you wondering what will happen next. I'm desperate to know if Khalif and Remedi will make it through their struggles and find happiness together.
