Rate this book
War correspondent Cornelius Ryan created many of the images we now remember of D-Day in his book The Longest Day. This biography reveals his own adventures include: following General Patton's army across Europe during World War II; becoming a friend of President John F. Kennedy; finally proving Hitler really did die in the ruins of Berlin; and the writing of three best-selling books before his death aged just 54.
