Camille is a homebody, happy in the peaceful bubble in her apartment. Halloween night being no exception. She wants a quiet evening of passing out candy and drinking too much wine. Only problem is, her best friend, Aliana, invites her to a haunted house and refuses to take no for an answer. Each of them have their own vision of how the night will progress.
Gloomfield Farms is ready and waiting.
You’re Mine is a Sapphic, paranormal romance novella. Secret identity with a plot twist I wonder if you will see coming.
Aria Maze lives in Florida with their husband and their two rambunctious kitties. She spends her days avoiding the sunlight, drinking way too many energy drinks, and writing sweet but spicy monster romance. Though she has plans to dabble in a variety of genres, non-human romance has their heart. Author of Finding His Hen, a duck shifter romance, you truly don’t know what she has coming next. Honestly, neither does she.
“Dead men don’t rape.” Dead women don’t either... The content warnings on this story are NOT thorough enough, so for any readers who need to know:
Camille, the narrator, orchestrates a kinda spooky/scary, kinda romantic rendezvous with her best friend Aliana, to try to confess her feelings and take things to the next level. Instead, when they get to the reveal, Aliana hits Camille over the head, strips her naked and chains her to a bed, forcibly drugs her while unconscious, and then starts abusing Camille under the guise of kink without first getting any consent or even explaining to the person with a HEAD INJURY what is happening.
The posthumous twist of the story might be enough to excuse this for some readers. And maybe some people would feel like Camille arranging the entire scenario to try to seduce Aliana is enough implied consent for fiction. I personally don’t feel that way. Camille’s scheme to isolate and seduce Aliana felt extremely manipulative. Aliana’s violence and “dominance” felt abusive. If you make either one of these characters a man, this story is not romantic at all. Just because these characters are female doesn’t make their behavior any less objectionable. All of these very real kinks become rape if there is not a prior discussion (implied or on the page) about limits.
And while the twist at the end reveals that both characters DID know each other’s limits, the reader does not know that while it’s happening! Maybe a horror reader would enjoy this. But as I am not, I would have appreciated a more thorough content warning.
I LOVED THIS NOVELLA!! This was so much fun to read & absolutely perfect for the spooky season! A sapphic romance with SPICE! I noticed the lack of spice in sapphic romances, and while I don’t need it to have a good time; I wondered why it was lacking. Thank you so much to Aria Maze for filling up this space 💛 I love the poc representation & body positivity!
This is the first story I’ve read from Aria Maze and I’m seriously impressed.
I thought I knew what was going on, I was thrown for a loop then I thought I had grasped the plot twist but I was once again wrong. A lot of twists and turns and very spicy. For being so short, the chemistry and the tension is insane and the character knowledge we obtain is really well done.
“Run. If I catch you, I’ll f*ck you. If I f*ck you, I’ll hurt you.”
Read the content warnings, if you’re okay with all of them, definitely give it a chance, you won’t regret it.
Thank you to Aria Maze for providing me with an advance review copy for free, I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Things I loved: - Sapphic Romance (F/F plus size bipoc MCs) - Halloween setting with haunted house and maze - Kinks and aftercare - Revenge best served with a side of torture - Multiple twists
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Burn: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Review: This is a fast-paced, fun novella that focuses on two friends who head to a haunted mansion for Halloween, intending to have some fun together afterward. There's tension between the main characters immediately from the very start, yet neither has ever acted on what seems to be intense chemistry. So they head to the haunted mansion together (which was so well described and sounded like an absolute blast), and let's just say there are multiple twists, and I doubt you'll see them coming!
Their night takes a different turn, and many things are revealed and impulses acted upon, but not in the way you'd expect. I really enjoyed the revenge scene and the primal scene especially! It made me so happy to see aftercare mentioned in this novella, as it's so often skipped over, especially in shorter books. Camille and Aliana are really sweet together, and they were fun to read! A great, spicy paranormal Halloween romance with a morally gray FMC!
Exhilarating story by a new to me author! Mind the tw’s but don’t read the spoiler! lol. I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The story begins with two best friends (secretly pining and hoping to change that) getting ready to go to a haunted house/maze.
There’s glorious plus size rep and body positivity. There’s steamy spice, maybe some k*nk and some sapphic romance. Halloween and paranormal gore, I’m not a huge gore fan but this story has just the right amount.
If you are looking for a quick and spooky read then you should definitely add this to your collection!
Listen, if Aria Maze writes it I'm gonna read it! They way she tells stories is just amazing, wholesome, and oh so spicy! I feel so seen when I read their books, fat babes deserve love too and in Aria's books they certainly do!
You're Mine is a sapphic Halloween horror romance that follows two women who spend the night going through a maze and then takes a romp in the woods. There are twists and turns that you won't see coming and you'll love every second of it!
It's a good for her type story and the love that the main characters have for each other is so beautiful that I cried!

The plot twist in this novella had me grinning ear to ear! Perfect Halloween vibes with a deeply satisfying twist. This deliciously SPICY sapphic novella has all the chase, thrills, and chills; with a dash of sweet, cozy friends-to-lovers that will leave you gushing over Aliana and Camille. These two devilish gals’ idea of Halloween fun is packed with some nail-biting tricks and some lip-biting treats.
Thank you, Aria, for the ARC! I love the way you wrote this novella. The tone and voice of the story carries such a casual, chill vibe that I felt like the character was sitting right beside me, telling her story firsthand.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Halloween night. One haunted house. Two best friends. Three very different plans. What could go wrong?
This novella was full of sweet and spicy moments 🥵🥵 If you are looking for a novella with plus sized FMC representation, being chased in the woods and a morally grey FMC this is the book for you!! I finished this book in one sitting it had my attention in a wicked grip! You’re Mine is coming out October 6th! Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC in exchange for my honest review
Oh, I’m just absolutely OBSESSED with Aria after reading this incredible book!!! You’re Mine is dark, seductive, mysterious and full of horror that serves up some much needed poetic justice. Aria absolutely outdid herself with this one!! There are SO many twists and you’ll be so shocked by the end of it! I’m also completely in love with our main characters Camille & Aliana. They’re both gorgeous and have so much depth. I promise you need to read this!!!
You’re Mine by Aria Maze is a perfect, spicy, unpredictable, just amazing spooky season novella ! I was given a e-book for an ARC. It’s 2 best friends and a haunted house . What could really go wrong ? This was everything I was not expecting, and the plot twist was so beyond anything I could have guessed !
Two lovers who are demons and their job is to kill rapists and get justice for the victims, say no more! I love the dynamic of passion and love between Camille and Aliana, especially with their role playing kink😏

There are some quotes from this book that I cannot stop thinking about. Please pick this up for your next spooky or sapphic read. You're Mine is short, spicy, and will leave you wanting more from this world.
Aliana and Camille have plans this Halloween. Visiting a Haunted House and have some special fun afterwards. But things turn out way different than they seem at the first glance and the "fun" part takes a very different turn. I don't want to spoil anything so let me just say, that if you like women obsessed with each other, revenge, plus-sized baddies and being chased through the woods, then you should absolutely put this novella on your spooky season TBR!!!
This is a book you will not be able to put down! It was the perfect Halloween book to welcome the spooky season properly!
If you love suspense mixed in with your romance, grab this book! I began routing for Camille and Aliana from the very first page. Their chemistry is off the charts!
This page turner will have you on the edge of your seat and panting for more!
Aria is an instant buy author for me! I devour her stories and suggest you do too!
👀Tropes: Single POV sapphic, paranormal romance novella with horror themes

✨My Thoughts: OMG, I need to tell you about this book, but I can't because it will spoil everything! Camille and Aliana have a SPICY night filled with kinky activities. Please please please read the whole story. It's important. A few chapters in you may feel the need to question things, but please please please give it a chance. There are some things that I questioned, like a run through the forest and then spicy times... Unclean? But other than that, love this quick story!
💖Quotes: "My house is where all of my favorite things are, why would I want to leave?"
TW and mild spoilers: This book felt VERY nonconsensual at the beginning. Camille is trying to get the other character (Aliana) alone in an isolated cabin in the woods, manipulating Aliana by using her fear kink to get them in bed together. Aliana turns on Camille and causes head trauma, drugs her, and starts sexually assaulting her??? No consent is given. There’s a ✨twist✨ revealed later, but honestly it wasn’t a twist, it was just a lie. The characters tell you something as the truth and then in the next chapter they ignore everything they’ve previously said and tell you the new truth. So basically it is consentually nonconsentual but YOU DO NOT KNOW THAT until after. I didn’t think the smut was that good either :( and overall didn’t like the book that much.
Thank you BookSirens for providing a copy of this novella in exchange for an honest review.
The pros: I really enjoyed the narrative voice here, and I was having a lot of fun with the spooky set dressing while a chilly October night was settling in outside, especially when little details about the costumes and the surroundings kept cropping back up in ways that felt immersive and real. I also thought the first role-reversal was a blast, and had done a fun setup for some edgy spice that really let it walk the line between 'should we be,, doing this??' and 'i mean, we are clEaRlY having fun.'
The cons: ...I liked the subsequent twists... a lot less? Even having not skipped the big spoiler in the front of the book, I kind of thought the dynamic of both of these two having a different hand in trying to pull one over the other was going to stick around, so I was disappointed to lose that, even if it was probably in service of objectively better communication. And while there were some minor proof type issues I never let detract from (especially) an ARC (I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily!) there were some sentence-structure type issues that made it a little harder to stay immersed in the fun.
I was still bordering on leaving this as a 3.5, maybe even a round-up, but then it really hit a pet peeve near the end. I think for me, the thing about having a big long list of content warnings at the start is that I really do think, then, I know what I'm getting into. I don't mind an author who would rather leave the whole thing a surprise! Then I know what I'm getting into is "who knows!" But when I do get that list, it can be extra jarring when there's something I would have Really specifically skipped reading if I'd had the content warning for, which was not, in fact, included on said list.
Of course, YMMV, we're all still figuring out what to list in these things together, so I'm sure for a lot of readers, this'll be fun all the way through. Just not for me!
This was so fun, with a surprising twist that added some extra oomph into the novella.
Not wanting to spoil it but I loved the true personalities (shall we say) of our main characters and their motives at the end.
I was giggling a lot and blushing for sure. I would definitely read more novellas in this world from this author.
I loved the playlist at the start! It reminded me to listen more to Scream Queen, and also reminded me about how obsessed I was with Jenny by Studio Killers. I also never knew the name of the 'big dawgs' song and only heard the first part on tiktoks and when I say I wasn't expecting this song when I played 'you beong to me' is an understatement but it added a macbre humour to the scene. I remember hearing a sample of the Delilah Bon song and forgot how badass it is. And of course the Poppy cover of 'all the things she said' perfectly captured the book too.
I was given this book complimentary from Book Sirens in e-book form in return for my honest review. Everything stated in this review is of my own opinion and I was not compensated monetarily for providing this review. Very hard to do a review on this novella without introducing spoilers so all I will say that this is an excellent novella well suited to the Halloween holiday season. The two m/cs have great chemistry and there is some nice body positivism. It has been mentioned by reviewers that this novella contains triggers and to be fair the author gives a warning at the stars. My personal feeling is that the triggers are mild but I am not you so if you are sensitive to these things you have a decision t make. If this is the first review you have read and are fixing to read this work, some review contain little hints that will give away the plot twist. So just read it, it's not long. Recommender for a spooky spicy Halloween read
You’re Mine is an absolute Halloween treat — fast-paced, a little twisted, and brimming with tension from the very first page. Camille just wants a quiet night in, but her best friend Aliana has other plans, and what starts as a simple haunted house visit quickly spirals into something far darker and hotter than expected. It's a short, addictive Halloween novella, it completely delivers. Plus-size representation, primal play, and a morally gray edge make it both refreshing and satisfying.
I loved how Aria Maze balances the suspense and spice here. The chemistry between Camille and Aliana is electric. It’s got that perfect blend of fear, desire, and fun that makes it a standout sapphic read for spooky season.
I probably wouldn't have finished it if it wasn't so short. I love to have a little smut for smuts sake and I get thats what this is supposed to be, but it missed. The smut wasn't smutty enough to distact from a poorly thought out storyline.
spoilers You learn at the end of the book Camille and Aliana are a bounded pair with a long-term prior relationship, which isn't really a plot twist because it just makes the first half of the book make no fucking sense. The story is told through Camille as if she has been yearning for her best friend for years, it doesn't foreshadow that this is an elaborate role-play scene so the reveal makes it feel chaotic.
Why are all the straight men villains in ff fantasy and smut? Carter didn't need to be a bad guy for this book to serve its purpose.

4 stars. Loved the writing in this. So good. There are a lot of things that I like in this but my favorite was the primal play. I always say that I could use more primal play in my sapphic romances so thank you Aria Maze. The spice scenes were fantastic and the chemistry between Camille and Aliana was hot as hell. I thought this was so much fun and would read more from this author because this was such an entertaining little novella.

I was really enjoying this novella because it was a cute and kinky Halloween read. However, the twist at the end just really confused me and made it harder for me to finish the book. Like, what do you mean that one second Camille is trying to confess to Aliana that she has liked her best friend for a while, and the next second they are demons who have been mated for a 100 years??? It really threw me off. I did enjoy the spice though!

This was a dark, spicy, novella with a unique twist. The characters had an interesting dynamic that developed in a really fun way. I'd happily follow the rest of the series!

It's a fun little novella about two girls on Halloween. I can't say much more without revealing major spoilers, but be mindful of the listed triggers on the first page (and I always highly appreciate it when authors do that). I loved it and would love to check out more from the author.
