I've read a few Paul books over the years, and while I've always enjoyed them I haven't loved any. This one I loved. It's a very moving story, but also down to earth.
Paul and his significant other Lucie are living comfortably in Montreal. She's just coming up on 3 months of pregnancy, their first child. They decide to join some friends on a fishing trip, staying at a cabin in a small village set up for casual fishing. Paul isn't interesting in fishing, but does get out of his comfort zone. It's very slice-of-life, and I loved all the little interactions Paul has with the other people in the village.
The publication of the Paul series in English is a bit confusing to me. Here's my attempt at clarification:
