Another delightful cozy mystery from Tonya Kappes!

Espresso Espionage delivers everything fans of the series have come to love: clever sleuthing, quirky small-town charm, and a perfectly brewed cup of intrigue.

What stands out most in this series is the rich web of relationships between the characters. I adore the tight-knit community of Honey Springs, where neighbors are deeply invested in one another’s lives and always ready to lend a hand—no matter the situation. That genuine sense of camaraderie and support makes the town feel warm and inviting, like visiting old friends.

And of course, the Bean Hive Coffee Shop remains the beating heart of it all. It’s the ultimate gathering spot when a murder rocks the town, where suspects, clues, and gossip flow as freely as the specialty drinks. There’s just something wonderfully satisfying about solving a mystery while imagining the aroma of fresh coffee in the air.

If you enjoy cozy mysteries with heart, humor, and a strong sense of community, Espresso Espionage is a must-read. Tonya Kappes has done it again—another winner that leaves you eager for the next visit to Honey Springs. Highly recommended!

“Row Hard, Eat Hearty”

Nobody answers that cleanly unless they’ve practiced it.”

“Funny thing about work. It tends to leave marks when it turns into something more.”

Honey Springs cannot take another blemish in the tourism department

“Honey Springs might be small, but not much happens around here without somebody noticing.”

Honey Springs is getting ready for the big Collegiate Rowing Competition taking place on Lake Honey Springs.
When Coach Whitmore is found dead in the boathouse questions are being asked.
Well, you know Roxy has no intention of staying out of the investigation, even when Sheriff Spencer Shepard tells her to.
Tonya Kappes descriptions of Honey Springs are so vivid that I could picture the board walk and lake as I read.
Looking for small town gossip go grab a coffee from the Bean Hive Coffeehouse. Where everyone talks and ears are always open listening.
The hub of all the town gossip and lots more.

I received an ARC prior to publication and decided to voluntarily review it.

Espresso Espionage by Tonya Kappes is a quick, caffeinated cozy where the stakes at Lake Honey Springs rise faster than a crew racing off the start line.
When the town hosts a collegiate regatta, the last thing anyone expects is a coach found murdered—strangled with rowing tape. Roxy jumps straight into the investigation.
Between a college program on the brink of losing funding, a crooked coach selling insider info, and shady athlete “deals” happening without consent, every suspect seems to be rowing their own messy course.
Roxy’s solution? The sting of all stings, timed with the precision of a perfect catch, to expose the killer and bring the whole scheme to shore.
A fun, fast mystery that keeps you gliding from clue to clue.

Lake Honey Springs is hosting a rowing contest and bringing in plenty of tourists along with conflict! When the coach is found dead before the race even happens, everyone is in edge wondering what would possess someone to kill the coach? Roxy takes it upon herself along with friends and family to solve the case.

In her usual wonderful fashion, Tonya Kappes has brought her small town charm and quirky characters to life, so grab yourself a coffee at The Bean Hive and a comfy chair and delve into this perfectly roasted mystery!

There's a big rowing competition at Honey Lake. When a coach is found dead there are plenty of suspects. Roxie can't help but dig for answers. She and Aunt Maxie are on the job. Wonderful characters and good mystery. You'll love this book's adoptee from the Paw Palace.

I could not nail down who the killer was, which made the mystery so much fun to untangle. Aunt Maxi absolutely steals the show as usual, while Roxy is definitely rocking a harder, tougher vibe this time around. It's an absolute blast from start to finish.
