Alright, first technical book review of the year. Practical Prototype and script.aculo.us by Andrew Dupont was a winner. I thought the book was well written with good "real-world" examples that will not only help you learn the Prototype framework, but also get you to start thinking about how you could use it on your sites.

My only complaint of the book was the a couple of examples that were messed up, which I had to gnash my teeth over to get working. All in all I'd say the examples worked correctly, I just think some could have been explained a little better.

I enjoyed Mr. Dupont's sense of humor and warm tone though-out the book including his Arrested Development nod towards the end.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has learned some javascript and hates it, but still wants to build in some of the awesome things it can do into web sites.
