For a short novella I was so entertained from the start and read it in pretty much one sitting. I enjoyed there being two different POVs from Eden and Hughie and felt like it helped make the story even more impactful.

The story of grief between both characters allowed them to bond easily and create such a strong connection so fast. When I was reading and found out it was Hughie who passed away I was so sad for him and for Eden. She was caught up in her grief and seeing them as a couple when the timeline would go backwards made me hurt even more for her. Watching the crow get more and more involved in the storyline made me curious as I read - so the ending have them be birds together made my heart happy; they truly found each other in each lifetime. ALSO her being the little girl he saw but then being reborn again to be together was WILD, I was like whhhhooaaa! The eyes kept being mentioned so I was like this has to be her, but it’s giving ghost vibes?!! So finding out truly was full circle for me.

The only thing that took away was occasionally I’d flip the chapter and not know where in the timeline we were, but overall I absolutely ate this up.

I cannot put into words how incredible the writing is in this book. The grief you feel while reading, as if you’re living the lives of the characters in the book. Everyone has experienced grief in one form or another, and being able to read this story and relate made me feel seen. Stunning. Highly recommend!!

Britt Reign does an excellent job capturing visceral emotion between two eternal flames and bringing readers into a charming environment of a blossoming, intimately passionate story. Her previous romance novels were absolutely stunning, so I had every bit of faith that this story would be just as appealing, if not more, for a gorgeous romance novella.

From the beginning to the end, I was fully engaged in the plot. The paranormal vibe was everything I needed. The story, the characters and the pacing was beautifully written. The ending had me even more in love with love.
