These books are always cute and fun to read and this was no exception. I love a daddy little dynamic so was a sucker for this one too. I loved that Allen was a beekeeper and Patrick a baker- they complimented each other perfectly! Such a sweet story, no angst- just the way I like it.
Allen is usually meticulous with his honey‑shipping business, but after a night with a charming Daddy named Patrick, he accidentally ships to the wrong address. When he calls to fix it, the person who answers is Patrick himself—warm, amused, and very much Daddy. Conveniently, Allen also needs to pick up milk from a shop next door. When he arrives, he discovers Patrick is both the baker holding his honey and the man supplying his milk, leaving Allen stunned by his sudden streak of sweet, serendipitous luck.
I enjoyed this story, which was a sweet, low‑angst delight that leans fully into charm, serendipity, and Daddy vibes. Allen’s accidental delivery mishap turns into the cutest meet‑cute with Patrick, a steady, warm baker who feels like comfort from the moment he speaks. Their chemistry is instant but tender, and the story keeps things light, cosy, and full of feel‑good moments. If you enjoy gentle Daddy dynamics, small‑town sweetness, and a plot that feels like fate stepping in with a wink, this one is a fun, heart‑melting treat. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
All Dela Cain books upset me so much. I keep expecting this person to get an editor someone to proofread these stories and they never do. It’s so frustrating. Della Cain books are normally on my Don’t Read list because of this but every so often I try another one with the same results. DO BETTER!!
This series is so fun to read. I loved that Patrick was a baker and Allen a beekeeper. There was a problem with a bit of it starting on chapter 6 with the names but it got fixed a little further on.
This is a very sweet romance with an adorable couple who I fell for straight away. A great storyline that kept me glued to the page, sweet romantic and a little steamy my kind of read
