When I wrote my first novel, Paranormal Nonsense, I was a Captain in the British Army. I would love to pretend that I had one of those careers that has to be redacted and in general denied by the government and that I have had to change my name and continually move about because I am still on the watch list in several countries. In truth though, I started out as a mechanic. Not like Jason Statham, sneaking about as a contract killer, more like one of those greasy gits that charge you a fortune and keep your car for a week when all you went in for was a squeaky door hinge.
At school, I was mostly disinterested in every subject except creative writing, for which, at age ten, I won my first award. However, calling it my first award suggests that there have been more, which there have not. Accolades may come but, in the meantime, I am having a ball writing mystery stories and crime thrillers and will claim to have more than a hundred books forming an unruly queue in my head as they clamor to get out.
Now retired from the military, I live in the south-east corner of England with a pair of lazy sausage dogs. Surrounded by rolling hills, brooding castles, and vineyards, I doubt I will ever leave, the beer is just too good.

This is it ,the big one ,the wedding to end all weddings ,a right royal affair and it’s took a lot to get there . Phew! Felicity Phillips ,wedding planner extraordinaire. Nine weddings to practice on before the big one…but she got there. Thanks to her assistant and niece Mindy who is a Ninja with those knives of hers and she’s dating a royal herself and not someone from downstairs. Then of course there’s her talking pets ,well it’s only her who they communicate with and not out loud for crying out loud wouldn’t that be funny and worth some money. There’s only Felicity who can understand them and what they’re about . They can understand what people are saying as well as their mistress so they’re good at snooping undercover . Buster he’s a proud self confessed ‘devil dog’ with special powers though I think that’s just gas … Amber the cat would certainly acquiesce. The king’s youngest son Prince Marcus is getting married to his long term girlfriend,albeit not the future King of England nor in St. Paul’sCathedral but Canterbury Cathedral ,it’s still a marvellous achievement this exchange of rings.Royal weddings thus far have never been organised by an outsider and not handled by the palace and so of course there’s lots to address before the bride even puts on her dress! The prince also doesn’t want the pageantry that goes with it nor the pomp and ceremony , no royal coach ,no procession through the city streets,maybe smaller for a royal but the grandest ,most lavish wedding that Felicity has ever put together but is she still competing with Ms Primrose Green who is her chief assistant planner for the wedding thinking it’s either keep enemy close or catch the saboteur in the act…. The number is vast when you come to think how it is that the line of succession to the throne have met there untimely deaths seventeen times though only one of those could maybe attributed to a crime …someone hoping to eliminate right up to the throne? Cassie Munroe hasn’t any proof but she is hot on the trail of proving it,her bosses support she doesn’t have and she’s up to her eyes and on thin ice that’s why she called in the guys ,you know the ones I mean..An official guest of the King we know is Sir Albert Smith and his partner in crime Sir Rex the ex police Alsatian ( it’s a long story) both wearing the Royal Stewart tartan ,yes Rex was wrestled into a waistcoat and bow tie , oh my what a sight he will be. In fact the wedding has been brought forward in case anything untoward was planned to foil an attempt to spoil the day and Felicity finds herself in a pickle ,though she’s anything but fickle ,she brings in a hoard of helpers on demand to join the fray. With Patricia Fisher in her arsenal thanks to being forever in her favour as she took up the mantle at a high end wedding onboard the cruise ship for her. Patricia of course jumps at the chance at getting an invitation to the royal wedding .Well whatever happens it’s going to be epic . A foe is thwarted by a royal decree and Devil Dog and Fatal Feline save the day too Dun Dun Dah! What a pair ! And let me tell you ,this was worth the wait. Like a breath of fresh air …as long as you’re down wind of Devil dog that is …Steve Higgs has woven these characters superbly to interact so well ,the way they interact it’s like a spell. Every character has been very well penned with character traits unique and so interesting it has your attention piqued . What happens now , I’m not telling but I’ll tell you this ,it’s mighty compelling and I can’t wait to discover more and what’s in store coming soon as we see the royal couple go on their honeymoon .

Felicity Philips Investigates Series
I would recommend all the books in this series to everyone who enjoys a good mystery l
Similar to the Blue Moon series or Patricia Fisher. I've read all of those too, so you can tell I enjoy Mr. Highs writing. I will next start the Albert and Rex series. From there I suppose I will see what else Steve Higgs has written and continue reading those stories. I especially liked the characters of Vince and Mindy in this series. Perhaps Mindy might be the lead in a spin off series. I'd read those for sure. Kind of like Barbie and Germaine if there was one! Thank you Mr Higgs for writing so many little mystery book series. I think they are easy reads, which I really like, and not thick with lots of boring filler. They are so enjoyable, fun, and sometimes I get so enthralled that I read more and longer than intended because I don't want to stop.
I'm hard pressed so far to be able to say I liked one series better than another.

King Charles....who knew?!
Steve Higgs is a terrific story teller. His stories combine intriguing mystery, laugh out loud humor, murder, mayhem and just plain great stories! The Royal wedding is the last of the Felicity Phillips, wedding planner to the rich and famous series but I am sure she will be seen occasionally in Steve Higgs other series like Patricia Fisher and Sir Albert Smith, since both those characters are in this story. Wherever Felicity goes her helpful niece in the wedding planning business Mindy goes also her dog Buster and cat Amber always tag along. Felicity has one super power, she can hear Buster and Amber conversations. It isn't something she tells many people but between Buster, Amber and Felicity they have solved various murders along the way. Buster and Amber get into all kinds of mischief, which leads to lots of laugh out loud humor.
On this occasion Felicity has been planning the Kings youngest son's wedding to a commoner for almost a year.
She knows there are many people trying to sabotage the wedding. There have been many murders of those in line to the king over the last year. Felicity knows that something will likely try to halt the wedding but hopefully with enough security it won't happen. What she doesn't know is that there are more than one person trying to ruin the wedding. This is a real wonderful read. It helps if you have read all the books in the series or have read the other series penned by this author, but it can be just as enjoyable as a stand alone. If you wonder what King Charles has to do with keeping the kingdom safe, you will have to read this excellent book!!

Everything is happening here. Felicity and Mindy are making the final preparations for the royal wedding, “assisted” by Felicity’s rivals, Primrose and Elizabeth. Of course, Buster and Amber are also involved. Tempest Michaels and his crew are undercover as royal retainers watching out for the villain(s) who have been knocking off various royals. Patricia Fisher, Jerome and Barbie are in town at Felicity’s request to use their skills to insure the wedding goes well and to detect any criminal activity. And, naturally, newly knighted Albert and Rex are attending the wedding because how could they be excluded. Naturally there are plenty of evildoers involved but, with the crime fighting fire power working to thwart them, everything must turn out alright, or will it?

Sorry to see it but a Great Ending
All my favorite characters from several Higgs series converge in this cant put it down end to the Felicity Phillips series. Im hoping Higgs picks up a new thread featuring Amber & Buster & Mindy. I love the animal interactions best. Before reading this book, go to Higgs note at the end. He lists all the series he's written that lead to this book & its ending. I suggest you read all of the prior books first including the Albert and Rex series. You'll enjoy a plethora of binge reading and enjoy this final book in the series even more. Or on second thought, read this first and it will give you the desire to read the 3 other Higgs series featuring the many Higgs characters brought together to celebrate a Royal Wedding.

Oh my heavens! Higgs has written the ultimate crossover ever!
Being a Felicity Philips book, to have almost all of his other characters join was so much fun to read.
He had been hinting about this for some time now, so it wasn't a surprise, but the way they all played their parts was masterfully written.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book!

This is the last book in the Felicity, wedding planner series & the best of them all!
I have also read his Patricia Fisher, Albert & Rex & Blue Moon Paranormal series, all very good and this is a cross over book with those main characters from each joining Felicity, a wedding planner to the rich & famous, who was hired to plan the Royal wedding. She has hired them all & even her biggest rival in the business to make sure it all goes without a hitch, even though unbeknown to her there are several plots by others to foil those plans. A great story with great characters & a lot of twists & turns! I highly recommend this series!

It's amazing how all the main characters from other series got together with Felicity and her pets for the royal wedding, and it was a riot! The dogs are at their best and even were able to get the cat to act more friendly and the three of them were instrumental in catching the bad guys! Albert, as always, defies everyone in the Police to make himselft heard and his leads accepted. Patricia and her gang and Tempest were also instrumental for the happy ending. Hopefully we'll read more of Buster/Devil Dog and Amber/Fatal Feline in other series in the future. The Royal Wedding is full of mystery and you'll laugh with the animals' antics.

This is the long awaited Royal Wedding book. It didn’t only include Felicity, Mindy, Justin, Vince and her pets but also Patricia Fisher, Jermaine and Barbie, Albert Smith and Rex and Tempest Michaels and his team. The mystery of who is sabotaging Felicity as well as the plan to kill of the Royal family is all included. It is another fabulous mystery by Steve Higgs. I love that there is humor and lots of suspense and twists. The pets and their ability to talk and argue with each other and Felicity is hysterical. The Felicity Phillips series is delightful. This one had quite a few bonus twists and surprises too. I’m very sad that Felicity’s series is finished. It was a top notch set.

Steve Higgs included loved characters from his other series to solve the mystery and give us the answers to all our questions. If you have not found the series featuring Patrica, Tempest or Albert and their friends, look them up and start binge reading! I hope to see Felicity and friends visit Patrica, Tempest, and Albert in their future adventures. Thanks Steve Higgs for introducing us to Felicity’s world.

Wonderful ending to a series I was so surprised to find myself enjoying. Even after reading all his other books. To be able to pull in so many characters from those other series and have them all chasing their own threads throughout whilst keeping it fun and being able to pull all those threads together so seamlessly at the end is a feat in itself. Congratulations on a perfect conclusion to a fun series. Although I do hope to see more of these characters in the future ( especially Mindy, Amber and Buster)

Felicity Needs a Vacation!
I have been reading this latest series that has always been leading up to "The Royal Wedding of the Year"! Glad to see it finally come together along with many characters from Steve's other books! Patricia & her team from the Cruise Ship; Blue Moon Investigations & sweet Sir Albert with his sidekick, Rex!
I have so thoroughly enjoyed all of Steve Higg's books up to this point! I look forward to many more adventures as they progress. Please keep weaving all these characters together as the do support & compliment each other's strengths!! 😉😆🤗

Royal wedding and everything else too
Can this investigation include everyone we love from all the murder mystery series? YES? This was just so much fun to read and then you could not put it down. Ok I did put it down last night ah, morning. But then finally realized this is just too much fun to read! So enjoy the crazy people doing mystery stuff and all our heroes catching them. Give Rex a nice scratch or cookie same as Buster. Amber just needs a sunny window.

A Worthy Finale
I enjoyed this final book in the Felicity Phillips series! Higgs skillfully wove in a huge cast of characters from several of his series, including the pets who are critical to solutions. There was a mystery to solve, and EVERYONE played a part in solving it. Without giving any spoilers, I can confidently say you will have great fun reading this book. It’s a lighthearted read, with Higgs’ trademark tongue in cheek delivery!

I loved this book, and I loved all my favourite characters together . Lots of twists and turns made kept me reading into the night.
Yea , Felicity and Mindy, Buster and Amber, instead of annoying each other they worked together. felt sorry for Mindy , but in the end she realized, she was too young.
Tempest and Big Ben. Patricia and her crew. Albert and Rex…. Had a few laughs with his buddy Eric . All of these characters. Couldn’t get any better.

A bittersweet farewell to Felicity, Buster, & Amber! I hate to see them go, but Mr. Higgs says they'll reappear in Albert & Patricia's storylines. This book is so FULL! So much going on at the same time! It almost seemed to be too much at times, but never truly got confusing. A few surprises at the end give a good send-off & hopes for the possibility of renewed stories in the future! I've truly enjoyed this series! Thank you, Mr. Higgs!

A fast-paced conclusion to a fantastic series!

Very satisfying end to a wonderful series
As are all of Steve Higgs’ books, this one is a true page-turner. I love the confluence of characters from several of his other series as they gather together for one last hurrah for Felicity Phillips. Marvelous writing, delicious reading.

Great read
All different characters included with some having pets. Tempest & his team were included a little, backing up the police. And helping to diffuse the use of a critical gas that could kill. All in all this book had it all. It had a lot going on with a lot of characters and a lot of people trying to kill.

Amazing tour de force by Steve Higgs!!!
We have all been waiting for the Royal Wedding, and boy oh boy, did it deliver!!!!
Criminals and detective's galore and so rich in atmosphere, I have no words to do it justice!!!
Totally fabulous, completely satisfying, heroes to cheer for!!!

Superb finale!
What a delight to have all the characters combine for The Wedding-at long last. I read it in one sitting and it was well worth the wait! I found myself grinning often. Many mysteries, lots of action, er, mayhem and pets. It was quite funny! Most pleasing, all the way through the very final paragraph. Steve Higgs is a gem!

He has done it again!
All my favorite characters in this one book? What a fabulous ride! I especially enjoyed all the critters working together as necessary to foil bad intentions, spiced with just a bit of laugh-out-loud humor to distract us just a little from all the ploys and plots and dastardly deeds. Thank you, Steve Higgs! This old woman is a fan for life.

torn between biting my nails and howling with laughter
This is a marvelous finale, but I am glad that I will be seeing most of the characters in other books sometime in the future because I would hate to say goodbye forever.

Can't keep up with the cast without a program
This was one where I needed to put my life on hold until I got thru it. Basically this stars the wedding planner with support from the various England based characters from Higgs' various series. The chapters move from centering on one character(s) to another, but succeeded in drawing my interest and then some.

This is so sad say to goodbye to a favorite series. My head is still spinning from all the frantic action. All our fantastic characters in one book is a treat I can not describe. WOW and Thank You for this absolutely marvelous and rousing ending. Highly Recommended.

What a fabulous ending to this series plus some of our favourite characters from the other series are included. It's fast paced, sometime hilarious and sometimes gripping. I loved it but then again I love all of Mr Higg's books. Bring on the next!

I loved this book, I really enjoyed catching up with the different characters from all of the other series that Steve writes.
I feel sad for Mindy... i hope one day she could have her own series of books too.

very enjoyable
lol. I feel as if I’ve waited years for this wedding. The book starts fairly fast and keeps on going. Lots and lots of action, characters from multiple series’ make appearances. Definitely worth the wait.
