I love these poems so much, a whole novel could be written based off of them!

This book of poems is powerful testimony to the observational powers of the poet. Every page we are reminded of the beauty of specificity- of people, of animals, of human nature, and above all, of the natural beauty of Appalachia. These seemingly modest, mundane poems betray her education and scholarship, and pay worthy respect to the canonical poets of the past. She is a regional poet whose appeal and insights are universal.

Beautiful work in peasant. "A Chassis of the Creation Is Love" is a favorite.
