Since then, he has endured hardships and trials, growing the strength of both himself and his district to survive. He found friends and lovers in his new life, all while building a home.
Then the Coalition took him away from all that, casting him into a strange new world, one he had only heard about in stories told by those in De’Vas. Ash needs to find a way back home, back to his friends and loved ones, no matter what it takes. Still, to do so, he needs to navigate an unknown world full of dangers and figure out what the Coalition’s plans are for him and District 114.
An avid reader with a fondness for Fantasy, Sci-fi, and HaremLit Books. I strive to write interesting worlds and characters like those that drew me to these genres. My debut book, Exile: De'Vas Chronicles Book 1, is my aim to achieve that goal. I hope you enjoy the book and the others to come in the future.
Enjoyed this. The MC's power continues to grow and develop, and more of the De'Vas/Vas background is revealed. This ends with some nebulous baddy in the wings to turn things to 11 in book 5, so we'll see where it goes from here.
This book was pretty good, but it involves a lot of non-MC PoV. The MC is shifted to Vas, the homeworld for all the various magical races/beings that appeared on Earth years ago. So we get lots of updates from what is happening there, while the MC is doing his thing on Vas.
One of the directions I'm not enjoying so much is the MC going off to battle on his own frequently. Many of his LIs and companions are exceptional warriors/mages, but he's constantly doing a "you guys take care of that, I'll take care of this one by myself" thing. It's getting to the point where it feels like he is allergic to having people fight with him. Which is sad.
A lot happens in this book, and everything just keeps getting better. As always, all of our characters are fantastic. Chase does amazing with multiple POVs. There's plenty to be interesting but not too many that you feel the need to skim to get back to the main characters. The way to story developed was very surprising, and I'm looking forward to what will happen next
Ever since I found this series a couple of days ago, I was so hooked that I had to binge everything. The world building is wonderfully done. Every character feels unique and fleshed out. A huge amount of character development as well throughout the series. The spicy scenes are well written, and not overdone either. Definitely recommend checking out the first book if you found this first. I'm so excited for the next one!
De'vas has been one hell of a roller coaster read. Starts wrll enough and cutesy then the horrors happen and things just snowball further. War on the horizon, 4 different factions gearing for battle and some mysterious figure who even the current big bad answers to when none of the current players can beat them. This is how you raise the stakes and make it good. Can't wait for the next one
I just couldn’t put it down, Ash and friends are all forced to become stronger to face their powerful ennemies, which lead to some awesome action, and though this one was a bit more serious ( less Lilly than I would’ve liked lol ) there’s at least one joke about footwear that had me laughting out loud
A pretty good volume. Ash’s Vas adventure maybe could have been a little more exciting. The explicit scenes were fairly tame, and the author doesn’t spend much time explaining how Ash is managing his multiple relationships. Also, is getting an elemental parasite rare? As it seems like there is an epidemic.
I was loosing faith with the last two trending downwards for me, but this is a return to form. The isekai really shook things up lol. Wondering how much steam this series has now, I am reengaged, but the author doesn't have a track record to pull from so I am optimistic we will get a few more books. I am a fan of the ubanfan trope.
Pretty great! The things I was afraid would happen didn't, and there were some big developments. lots of progress in this one. it was a really fun read.
