The book models itself after Mike Mentzer, who is more famous now, 25 years after his passing. The best part of the book was the section on diagnosing plateaus. The Heavy Duty System itself too often leads to over-training and higher risks of injury in my view. Intermediate fitness enthusiasts will find a few solid ideas. Beginners should avoid without a trainer.
