⭐ Beta Reader Review — A Grumpy Little Christmas
First of all: this book was a joy to read. It’s engaging, polished, and emotionally satisfying, with characters who feel real and a romance arc that has genuine payoff. I never struggled to stay immersed — every time I had to stop reading, I wanted to go back immediately.

Rae and Grant have fantastic chemistry — not only physically, but in personality contrast and emotional rhythm. Their dialogue is sharp and alive, and the banter feels natural rather than “written to be witty.”
Rae comes across strong, consistent, and deeply human. Her boundaries make sense, and her vulnerability is handled respectfully. I loved that her identity didn’t revolve solely around motherhood, but her son still mattered to her arc.
Grant’s character development is excellent. The shift from closed-off to emotionally available is gradual, believable, and rewarding. No sudden personality switch — you can feel the progress happen over time.
The side characters — especially the firefighters, the girls from “Chat & Chardonnay,” and the town gossip network — add dimension without hijacking the story. They enrich the world in all the right ways.

I had the pleasure of receiving this as an e-ARC and will voluntarily be giving my honest review! Wow!! This was such a great read for the Christmas Season 🎄🎅 think Hallmark vs Gilmore girls!! This Romcom with spice was just phenomenal and Rae and Grants chemistry had me from page one!! This was my first book from Valentina and will definitely be reading more just chefs kiss absolutely loved it thank you!!

I absolutely loved this book so much. Think Hallmark plus smut mixed in. Grant and Rae's will they won't they/ push/pull passion and chemistry is something that had me hooked from page one. I highly recommend you read it. Thank you Valentina Iania for letting me read this ARC copy. I will be reading more of your books in the future for sure.

This is a perfect holiday read! I loved coming back to Elm Hollow for another holiday season! It’s really fun to get to know all the different characters and soon to be couples on this small town. I can’t wait for book 3!

What happens when your one night stand ends up booking a few months stay at your hotel during holiday season? Elm Hollow is what Halmark movies are made of! Christmas starts November 1st and every day is magical. Not the best place for a Grumpy, thriller writer trying to get over writers block. Christmas wars, advent calendars, meddling friends, and a whole lot of spice all while the grump falls in love with Mrs. Christmas Spirit.
I may not look at Christmas cookies or strands of holiday lights the same after this book. 🥵 Then we top it off with an advent calendar of spicy chaos!
I loved the Grumpy Grinch vs Cindy-Lou nicknames, they were perfect! There was definite Gilmore Girl Vibes without being a direct copy. And so much banter. I laughed so much during this read, and I enjoyed every minute of it!
I could've done without the 3rd act breakup that only lasted a few pages. It was so brief and not needed, but yet I understand why it was there also.
If your a fan of Halmark after dark, grumpy/sunshine, Christmas wars, humor, and romance, then this book needs to be on your holiday TBR! It's available now!

Umm Valentina is becoming one of my favorites to read!! I was so excited to see we get Rae’s story I screamed!! And this one did not disappoint at all!!
Rae and Grant met as a one night stand and she bolted so imagine her shock when Grant shows up to her Inn and is planning to stay a long while!! So the most logical thing to do was ignore him lol! I loved that Rae was unapologetically herself! I loved her so much! And seeing Grant slowly open up was chefs kiss!!

This is the second book in the Elm Hollow Holiday series and whoo did the author up the spice in this one. If you're looking for a sexy, spicy Christmas book then definitely give this one a look. Rae Whitmore is a single mom who's sworn off relationships and Grant is a hot, brooding author. Pining, pining and more pining awaits you along with some Christmas fun, and we also get to see some more of our beloved couple from the first book in this series.
Valentina delivers on the perfect mixture of sweet and sexy and I definitely recommend this for anyone who's looking for a seasonal read ❤️

A one night stand with two people who are both visiting a small town and have one night, he asks for her number but because of her rule, she runs off before anything can get any deeper.
Fast forward a month, and said one night stand, Grant, shows up and her inn!
Rae plays it cool, and tries to act like she doesn’t remember him. Which turns into a war to try to get the “Grump” Grant out of his Grinchy funk.
I LOVED how jealous and grumpy Grant was! How he just wants Rae but doesnt know how to exactly go after her, until he sees slivers of her that no-one else sees and they begin a back and forth banter that turns into more.
The burn was fast but the way that these two fall for each other over the holiday season is the sweetest thing. Almost as sweet as all the sugar cookies, but don’t even get me started on the frosting 🥵😏😉
I loved the dynamic with Rae and Grant but also grant with Ivy (Rae’s Daughter from the previous book) and Cam Ivy’s boyfriend (from the previous book). The vibe of all the characters is perfect, I loved seeing them all bond and flirt and all the banter too, and when grant starts to spend time with all the people of Elm Hollow, his heart starts growing multiple sizes. (Just like his namesake, the grinch)
I am so excited for what comes next from Valentina and can’t wait to go back to Elm Hollow!

This book was absolutely brilliant. Now that Christmas is near I do enjoy a little holiday romance and this book was absolutely what I was looking for. This is a grumpy x Sunshine book which is an absolute favorite of mine and it was gone so well. Grant is a writer struggling with writers block and in need to work on his next book he escapes to Elm Hollow, a quiet town that will surely be the answer to his problems. What he didn’t expect is to arrive to the Inn of Rae the woman that not only owns the hotel, but the same one he had a one night stand with recently.Now Rae and Grant need to navigate through new feelings while being in close proximity to one another.
After finishing Pumpkin Spice lessons I knew immediately that I needed to go back to Elm Hollow. The story was just so good and I didn’t feel like the story could end and gladly o was wrong. I am so grateful that the author decided to continue the love story there and I really enjoy that it was with Rae and Grant. The banter between the characters was just so fun and I was so happy to have the opportunity to re visit my favorite characters from before. I can’t wait for Valentina next book queen of hearts that will bring us sloane story!

This is the 3rd book i’ve read by Valentina and honestly her writing never disappoints
This book gives all the hallmark movie, small town Christmas feels and I am 100% here for it
This story centres around Grant and Rae. Grant is an author, Rae is a single mom who runs an inn in Elm Hollow. The two meet and there’s this instant attraction that leads to a one night stand, when Grant asks for her number, she flees. Rae expects to never see him again but fate has other plans. A month goes by and Grant finds himself staying in The Snowed Inn which just so happens to be the inn that Rae runs.
With the two being thrown together again there’s no way for either of them to escape the attraction.
I love the grumpy vs sunshine vibes - she’s literally the epitome of Christmas spirit and the Cindy Lou to his grinch. I love that she pulls some pranks to try and bring some Christmas spirit into his life and I love that he falls first.
The romance, the Christmas vibes, the small town, the spice, the mischief and the banter between these characters were all 10/10 for me

Another totally adorable, perfectly spiced installment from Elm Hollow!
Rae is basically Lorelai Gilmore. She's loveable, playful, endlessly optimistic and puts everyone ahead of herself. I absolutely adore the GG vibes I've had from these books so far. They're so cosy, and you can't help but adore the characters. There's a whole community of colourful characters alongside the MCs, and that gives it such a wholesome feel.
The grumpy X sunshine is like a big neon sign 😆 she is sunshine, but Grant is probably the reason the word grumpy is even in the dictionary 🤭 I loved seeing him unravel (reluctantly).
It's such a fun, small-town festive read with a spicy subplot ❤️

Omgosh, this book was so cute. I love it when one character is the grump, and the other is happy. So these two were perfect. I loved all the back and forth, the attraction, and having to deal with Mr. Grumpy lol. This book was just so much fun with witty banter, some tension, and giggles.
Talk about a perfect holiday book. I love Christmas myself, and love hire much the FMC enjoys the holidays as well. So five months of being able to bring the grumpy MMC to a happy place was challenging but in a fun way.
This book had me so involved, I didn’t want to put it down until I was finished.

So glad to be back in Elm Hollow. My only complaint was that it was too long for a Christmas read, but other than that it was cute. Rae and Grant just worked so well together. Rae is the owner of the Snowed Inn and it's the perfect little hotel to stay in through the holidays. Grant checks in thinking it was going to be a quiet place for him to write his next novel, little does he know it's actually always so loud and everyone is so nosy. Grant and Rae try so hard to stay away from each other but they are always drawn to each other. This is honestly such a cute holiday romance if you want to feel festive.

This the perfect “Smutty Meets Hallmark” holiday read! I love Grumpy Grant so much. The chemistry between him and Rae is delicious and their banter is hilarious. It was the perfect mix of spice, plot, banter and comedy. And the scene where the lights are getting hung is so funny! I Loved it!!!!

Another absolutely wonderful visit to Elm Hollow and its time to get to know Rae and Grant! I honestly didn't think I could love Elm Hollow more than I already did! When a one night rule turns into a second night, and a third night, Rae continues to push Grant away but Grant keeps pulling her straight back in. This was a super cosy, festive read to enjoy over the holidays this year. I cant help but fall deep into the pages of a book when the undeniable chemistry is a force to be reckoned with 😍 Thank you to Valentina for yet again allowing me an e-ARC of A Grumpy Little Christmas! I ate it up!! I eagerly await the release of Book 3 in the Elm Hollow series "Queen of Hearts"
