He is Lior Wolverton, a Lycan god of Asgard. Odin sends him on a mission to the realm of the mortals to kill a future threat to Asgard. Her name is Asra. One look at this breathtakingly beautiful half-Elf half-human and Lior cannot control his desire to claim her. Instead of killing her, he hides her in the Kingfom of the Dark Elves. He decides to remain in the mortal world as a self-punishment for breaking his warrior code.
Asra wakes up from a deep slumber. She finds out that she has been asleep for two hundred years. It is now the twenty-first century and she's no longer the princess of the mighty MacLeod clan of Scotland but a prisoner of the very man she hates with every fiber of her being, the man who broke her heart.
Lior is now a billionaire living in the UK, dwelling with the mortals while keeping his pack of Lycans together. It is a different time and the balance of piwer has shifted. Odin summons him again to do a mission. This is his chance to redeem his old place in Asgard, but he has to deliver Asra to Odin at all costs.
i am not a big fan of paranormal romance as i have only read and enjoyed a few stories under this genre' but warrior of the moon kept me hooked and craving for more...i'm happy to say that the author didn't leave me disappointed and she even surpass what i'm expecting...hoping for more of this to come especially bran's story...can't wait for the blabbermouth to once again fall inlove...i'm sure it will be epic :)
I did expect this book to be an action packed and sizzling hot but I never expected it to be as highly entertaining as it was. The clashing of a lycan's arrogance and an elf's fiestiness was just a fun, fun, fun read from first page to the last. The wide imagination of the writer was just so awesome that she was able to inter-connects different dimensions and elements with clarity, distinctiveness and high definition. You'll never get lost who is who, where is where and which is which even though the names of places and characters are all new. She also managed to maintain the humor and hilarity through out the story which gave more appeal into it. I just so love Bran and how he can't seem to shut his mouth even in just a bit ( Did he happen to swallow a transistor radio sometime in his vampire life? lol!) Ok, enough of Bran *he'll get his own story in the future for sure anyway.
This book obviously was a very well researched and a well written one. Lior's struggle from being torn between his warrior heart and romantic heart was very well executed. I could feel the tag-of-war that's happening in his mind while he's trying to do something to save his kingdom and keep the girl he love alive at the same time. It was some sort of metaphorical story for me, a warrior who found his sweetest downfall and yet in the end his sweetest downfall was the one who unleashed the power within him that he thought it would never gonna happen anymore. In real life, men find their sweetest downfall when they fall in love. It could make or break them but the bottom line as they say is behind any man success is a woman.... Kudos to Garnet Hart, it's a job well done. I would love to call you Super G from now on, Lior just earned his SPOT in my heart that only HE who could touch Lol!
I'm a Norse Mythos virgin. The only background I have of Nordic legends is that of Marvel's Thor, which is super loosely based. So my approach to Warrior of the Moon is basically that of a toddler's.
But Ms G never failed to guide me through the novel with heavy background of the mythical world.
Warrior of the Moon is amongst the best mythos-based stories I have read. It was pretty much researched out, thought over critically, and lined up in such a way that I could only imagine Ms G's migraines rolling and rolling in the conception of the prose. ^^,
Lior and Asra had a complicated relationship made even more complicated by the gods, people, and creatures around them. Theirs was a love story that lived through centuries and would last `til eternity.
I lost a hell lot of sleep over reading the book but it was one helluva worthy read!I super loved it! If the 5-stars isn't enough to express my love, then I would some more! LOL. It had a complete mix of a legendary background, edge-of-the-seat-grabbing plots and twists, lovable characters, and tasty love scenes that made my head swim in so much heat.
And Bran... oh my, crazy BRAN! One of the oldest immortal. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! I just want to grab him out and make him mine! I look forward to having more of the adorably infuriating Vampire. Hahaha!
Kudos to Ms G and to the world of the Dark Forces!
