Just WOW. Could not put it down. Alice takes you on a rollercoaster ride that just as you thought you've got it figured out she spins you in a different direction. Quite the ride. Absolutely love this series. A must read for Calgarians.

This was one of those books that hooked me right from the start. The writing was crisp and engaging, and the story pulled me in immediately. It had just the right mix of suspense, humor, and emotion to keep me turning the pages late into the night.

The plot follows Private Investigator Jorja Knight, who once again finds herself caught up in a case that’s far more complicated than it first appears. What starts as a straightforward investigation turns into a web of danger, secrets, and unexpected twists. Jorja is such a strong and relatable character—tough when she needs to be, but with a real sense of heart that makes you root for her the whole way through. I found myself laughing at some of her quick comebacks and genuinely feeling for her in the tougher moments.

A few side characters left me curious and wanting to know more, but that just adds to the anticipation for the next book in the series.

Overall, Knight Shadow was a fantastic read—fast-paced, emotional, and full of surprises. I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a well-written mystery with a strong female lead. 5/5 stars!

Started off great and then slowed down a bit for me. The storyline just stalled a bit while she is getting the rundown and her new assignment. This is my first book by this author and in this series. I did feel a little like I was missing something so maybe read previous ones before grabbing this one. I do like the attitude and thought process that Jorja has. She seems pretty thorough. I felt the relationship with Luis was unimportant to me simply because I felt no connection to him or their togetherness. I did skip ahead multiple times and did not lose any of the story. This is a first time author for me. I would suggest reading previous in the series before tackling this one.
