Hailey is a barista in Seattle, in a small but popular coffee shop, when she gets an unusual customer, a woman wrapped up with her features almost totally covered, who seems totally out of place.
Tori is a celebrity in hiding, evading the media, and also her own security people. She doesn’t really know how to function in the real world, having always been spoilt and protected - not a bad person, but not knowing any different.
Both women are totally opposite ends of the spectrum - Tori from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, rich and extravagant, and Hailey, raised in a commune with no television, and an extremely frugal lifestyle.
I avoided reading Reba Bale books for a while, finding them sometimes sensationalist in the past, but perhaps that was my association because of the tone of the author’s newsletter emails. The writing is good, but this is a style you really have to get used to. Unrealistic, but great fun.

If there is a faster, less believable love story in a book, it’s this one.
And yet, I read it all the way through without skipping a single page.
It’s like a guilty pleasure. I honestly don’t have much more to say.
I do think the plot itself had the potential for so much more, but I believe the author’s intention was to write the book exactly as it turned out.

Being brought up with a mom who controlled everything can be tiring, that is until.
Tori had a cheeseburger and then it was caught on camera when she lost it over the side of her car. OMG! What now? Rushing into a coffee shop she saw the barista who gave a her a blank look. Tori isn't being recognized. Hailey doesn't own a TV, she likes to read, saw White Christmas with her mom a couple of years ago. Tori has never had to pay for anything her whole life how is she going to get her coffee? Tori is beyond herself, she not being chased by the press and Hailey has offered her a PB &G sandwich. How delicious! Interesting? Enjoy!

Talk about a quick read but it was a good story, one of those that your everyday young lesbian could fantasize happening to them. There were a few inconsistencies in the story but on a whole it was ok.

Cute love story.
This was a nice fast paced read. The characters were well written and plausible. No angst and no third act breakup. I enjoy Reba Bale's writing style. You are always guaranteed a happy ending with her books.

What a charming couple. It’s love at first sight and a whole lot of seeing how the other half lives. I greatly enjoyed Reba Bale’s book Tempted by the Actress. I look forward to reading more of her work.

just a cute gentle read
Reba Bale writes gentle reads that are low angst and lots of romance, laughs, and solutions to life’s challenges. The world has so much crazy that her books help me disengage for a while and just enjoy happy even if it’s fiction.
