Absolute garbage; Do not read this book! I was pulled into it by an instagram ad and was curious but it is definitely a pay by chapter book that has clearly been copied and pasted from AI. The story has no consistency, the writing is dreadful and it is riddled with grammatical errors. The title is a lie, there is no love in it and definitely no steam. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
DNF at chapter 111, shitty characters, story reads like it was written by ai, contradictions everywhere, 1001 unnecessary characters, fake advertising, truly shit
I am not sure what other people are reading but I highly suggest they find a book by a real author. Harsh, ya. I guess. Funny this has an AI component in it cause I am suspicious that this book had some cyber help. This is not a review that sounds like a book report. Where to start? Let's start with the good. I like the fast pace of the story. That's it. I cannot believe the author is going to drag this story out in what...9 installments! Seriously. First off. I know I read a book very similar to this one. Marriage, but it's hidden, ahe works for him, snotty daughter who treats her mom like...well you know. Plus the kid is like, I think because the author skips details, in kindergarten and yet she has her act like she's 16. And a high profile man's marriage wouldn't be hidden. Everyone would know but the author has scenes where it's hidden but then in other scenes everyone knows. Let's talk about the main female. One word...Doormat. I get the author is trying to drag this book out, but she started this book out with her taking her life back and filing for divorce. Why can't she confront her cheating husband and lay the law down to her kid. She's leaves her kid.to be influenced by the mistress. None of these scenarios make sense. I know it's a fictional story but it's like watching movies. How many times do we sit there and see a scene and call out, "That would be er happen." Well, this is the book version. I stumbled across the latest installment of this series and then realized I was jumping in something already in progress. Found the first book and kinda wish I didn't. I am glad I did, though in one aspect. If I can save anyone valuable time to skip to a real book, I am glad I did. This is a wash, rinse and repeat story. And if the husband says, hmmm one more time. He has no personality. The author has him realize something about his wife then brushes it off over and over. I like the topic of marriage in crisis but this is too much and should have just been one book. Save us time. As I write this more, just no, moments keep coming to mind. If I suspect AI in a book, I get very frustrated. I want books that someone labored over and can honestly claim it as their own..if this author can then that is great but they need help refining their story. I might see where this goes. I like writing reviews that don't sound like a retelling of the story but actually helps someone decide if they want to waste their time and money on a book that... isn't well laid out.
That felt like a prequel. The whole book was a setup for the next one. Like, Trevor doesn’t even know she wants a divorce yet. Literally nothing happened.

This book had me in a chokehold and I don’t know why. The story just repeats itself over and over. There are a lot of events that happened that I feel like should come back up but never have. Like her family forgetting her birthday and over 6 months later still has not remembered. There hasn’t been any smut or tension between the main characters at all. Honestly it’s like we are avoiding romance all together. The grammar issues, name mix ups and repeated pages are kinda bad. Like I’ve seen it in every book and almost every chapter. So far the mmc has not tried to get her back once and has not tried to stop the divorce at all and I’m 4 books in and I’m pretty sure the divorce is already done. And he never found the letter she wrote either. He barely talks too. Over the past 4 books I think he has said maybe 100 words and maybe I’m exaggerating but he said one word sentences most of the time. The fmc is an awful mother and the father suck too. Like who treat a 6 year that way and ignores there call for days and will only see her once a month. Also who brings their mistress around their child. This child is also 6 has a phone and the way she talks to her parents is kinda sad. I guess it’s a different world being rich like that. But imma keep reading. It reminds me of the reels that had the bad actors but I still watch that whole 20 mins drama play out. Also if Wynn and her cousin Linda does not get the worst possible karma possible I will be throwing my kindle through the wall! All I hope is Celeste finally stand up for herself and calls out everyone who has done her wrong. Excited for the next book. Please don’t stop writing I need the rest or my brain will not stop think about this ever.

An extra star because a rage-read junkie might like this.
The character arc is a spiralling one. I could say DNF but I haven't missed any plotpoints. There is an inciting incident and then it just cycles through one rage-inducing situation after another.
'Totally unrelated' to why this story goes nowhere, at chapter 92, the GoodNovel app gave me five successive ads with no additional content, at 14% complete.
Yet I know I'm missing nothing after deleting the app because-

-this isn't art, it's souless capitalism. AI or not, it spirals endlessly. The rage keeps you reading because you want to see it end. But if it did end, then you'd stop paying them money, wouldn't you?
I don't know how many plot contrivances you can include in a single plot point book but I could imagine the flak I would get if I submitted something like this.
I actually wished tragedy to move this story to a new place since obviously the characters are all impotent back seat drivers. How terrible... when I realised it was never going to happen. That would require character development.
I started reading this story on the GooeReads app. It started off with an interesting plot. However, all it has done for 532 chapters is repeat the same tired actions from the characters over and over. The story takes 30 chapters to progress from one scene to the next. The chapters have become shorter and shorter, but the story progression takes longer and longer to happen. The "writer" (have not the temerity to call them an actual author) has written characters with no emotion, no depth, and no soul. Most of the dialog between the main characters is mono-syllabic, one-word responses, or just plain downright grunts. The only reason anyone continues to read this half-baked "story" is because most of us have spent so much time and money and feel like it will be a major waste not to finish it. However, the "writer"(to use the term very loosely) is just playing games with the readers and dragging out the story in order to make more money. They update 30-second "chapters" every other day. I came to Kindle, hoping to acquire the completed work, only to find that this version has only just begun. The description needs to change. There is nothing "Steamy" about this story...except probably the steam coming out of the ears of the many people who paid for this ridiculous excuse of a "romance"(in quotes because there is none of that in the story either).
I found Book 1 on an reading App. Then looked for it elsewhere. When I found it I saw there's 7 Books. After reading the first few chapters relating to the App, I definitely wanted to read them all.
This story has a few different storylines throughout that all connect to the main character, Celeste. She's young, beautiful, smart! And in love with & married to an ass!! A business tycoon & extremely cold fish. Celeste is done sitting by while he ignores her. Finding out that he's cheating on her she decides to leave & go home. Once there she packs necessities & moves into an apartment she purchased many years before.
Not many really know her. They have a daughter, she worked for his company as a secretary & everyone who knows they're married thinks she's pathetic. No one knows just how smart she is, what she did with her young life before marrying Trevor, & oh yeah not many even know that she's married to him.
She writes up divorce papers, has the butler give the envelope to him. Only Trevor leaves envelope on bureau without opening it & the staff put it away in a drawer. She thinks that he's filing, & he has no idea she even moved out of his mansion. He was shocked that she quit the job at his company. He's so indifferent that he hasn't put all the little pieces together. Can't wait to see what happens.
To be brutally honest I picked this up to read because I started reading it in an app and noticed it was available on KU.
Using the term loosely…..POTENTIAL SPOILERS…. There’s an awful lot of angst about how distant the husband is, he’s cheating on his wife and even the couple’s daughter prefers hanging out with the mistress. It’s all very far fetched, the mistress is actually the FMCs half sister and is apparently a wunderkind. The FMC is a complete doormat bending over backwards to accommodate her husband and their daughter who either ignore her or take her for granted. Unknown to everyone she’s a tech genius in her own right (naturally) but nobody else knows about it, people just make a lot of assumptions.
The FMC decides divorce is the way forward, and sets about removing herself from his life. Nothing else really happens as such there’s very little plot development or direction, just a lot about the FMC being treated badly. I presume some big reveal or advancement is coming in future books but I’m not holding out for it. There was a complete absence of temperature so if you were looking for the steamy bits mentioned in the descriptor you’re going to need to wait. I’m not sure I have the willpower.
I’m not going to say this book was trash because it definitely has potential, but there’s a lot that needs to be revised. The overall storyline could be really good, but the books felt too drawn out. There was a lot of repeated dialogue, especially from the main characters, which became a bit frustrating after a while. Many scenes also felt repetitive, which made it hard to stay engaged.
Another major letdown was the lack of romance throughout all six books—it felt like something was missing. The emotions also didn’t come through; the writing felt very direct and almost robotic, making it difficult to connect with the characters or understand how they were feeling.
I read all six books in a single day, hoping it would build up to something more, but unfortunately, it never really did. On top of that, there were several grammar errors that definitely need to be corrected. With some solid editing and more emotional depth, though, I think this series could have real potential.
It's interesting but a bit long winded, I get the point of it or I wish she would get to the point of it she left she wants to end the marriage she wrote him a note, walk out but why hasn't she got a lawyer get made it real, as for the kid yeah don't get that at all single parent here would murder anyone who tried to replace me in my kids life were is her fight this passive don't care thing isn't working for me she needs to kick him in the family jewels give her tramp sister a good slap n take her kid and run. But all said and done I'm going to keep reading cos it's sort of like eating something that's really bad for you, you know you shouldn't do it and you will most likely regret it but you just can't help it. I'm hoping she going to find her backbone n start fighting for herself and her future.
You ever watch those clips of short Cdramas? That's what this is, but it's AI-slop. You can tell it's AI because there is literally no character depth or development. If I give it the benefit of a doubt that it's actually being written by a person, then it's written by a 14 year old with lack of experience.
Characters are completely one-dimensional and their thought process comes off as flat. You don't get any POV from the husband to justify why he married her, stayed married to her all these years, and why he's cheating on her with her sister.
After 3 books, there is still no divorce to start the redemption arc. The author is literally milking this premise for all its' worth. Do not waste your time and money on this farce.
I was really hoping for this to be a second chance romance novel that involves well developed characters and storyline. The book is part of a series with little momentum happening, a lot of repetition, little character development and no real depth. .It is obviously translated into English which is fine, just be prepared for inconsistencies within the novel around different cultures and word usage.
It reads much like a wattpad story, so if that is not your thing I would pass. If that is your thing then this will be perfect for you.
The female lead in this book made herself into a doormat and was upset when her husband and child walked all over as well as most everyone else in the book. The storyline absolutely resolved nothing. At the end her husband still hadn’t figured out she filed for divorce because he never bothered to look at the papers she left him. She was apparently extremely intelligent with a bright future and she sacrificed it all a man who wouldn’t even tell people he was married to her. This book did not resolve anything. Terrible!
This is one run on book that is like watching a hamster wheel. There is no character development, emotions or good editing through out these 6 books. I don’t like the mmc or the fmc. They lack personality and depth. The fact the the fmc is cold to her own child is the first clue that AI had to have written part of these books. The other fact that no one speaks like they do in real life. Do better for book 7
Ok, so what brought me to this book was the title. However, it is so slow paced. Within 2 days, I've read all 4 books, and I'm still trying to understand his point of view and exactly why he dislikes her so freaking much. Ugh, I'm so frustrated. Does anyone know where I could finish the rest?
I'm not even justifying this with a full review. I got hooked from a cheesy trash ad on social media and just wanted to read until the big "reveal" happened. The writing is bad, the books are full of errors, and the plot takes forever to get anywhere new. From what I've read review wise, it only gets worse and they keep dragging out the twist so that people keep reading. I'm not going to.
The plot isn't really planned well. The story is being dragged, really repetitive. I feel like if the plot was planned well, this book could be really good and heart-wrenching (like how it should be). But because it's been dragging, I kind of gave up on it. However, it is quite addictive for some reason. At this point, I'm rage-reading the story.
almost finished the latest book still think Trevor is either AI or a robot lol
there's no such thing as entanglement in the story, its just run around the circle infinitely. the saddest thing in this book is the relationship between jo and her mother honestly.... its beyond complicated but not complicated at all? at some point I really want to smack Celeste's head and scream loudly YOURE THE FUCKING GROWN UP HERE, and the more I read it, its just feels like a sex that never ever peaks lol so unsatisfying
Spoiler alert nothing in this book gets resolved and there’s a part two. Probably not gonna read it cause there’s nothing that makes me like any of these characters and nobody has connected by anything. It’s all surface.
I am pretty sure I started this on one of those pay per chapter reading apps, so finding it on Kindle Unlimited was a nice surprise. It is very much a drama driven romance, and it leans hard into drawn out tension.
The biggest theme is miscommunication. So much of the conflict could be solved if the characters simply talked honestly or made a clean break. Instead, the story stretches that uncertainty for a long time, which can be frustrating even though it fits the melodramatic tone the book is going for.
If you enjoy slow burn relationship drama where emotions spiral because no one says what they really mean, this will probably work for you. Just go in expecting a lot of tension that could have been avoided with one serious conversation.
Poorly written. Alot of it doesn't make sense, not been proof read. I got half way through 1st book and gave up. Should have read the reviews before trying it, shame really as it had potential
This is one the best books i've read in a while. It keeps the suspense running and unpredictable. Tried to buy the full e-book on amazon but it just won't accept my card and its exhausting. Where else can I buy besides amazon?
This book was alright and the premise is interesting but there is so much stuff that makes it obvious it was either written by AI or just not reviwed at all
