A collection of both short stories and poetry from horror author Wrath James White all centered around dark erotic. Not all of the stories are outright horror (though a good portion of them are) but everyone contains ideas of BDSM, often taken to horrific extremes. All stories are extremely adult in content and a few were enough to make me uncomfortable... but a few were certainly... well, creative. With all short story collections some were better than others, but overall the collection is a fun late night read. 3/5 stars

Looking for a night time tale to put you off to sleep? Well don't pick this one up
You'll be in for nightmares.
Full of short stories and poetry of the darkest nature I've read in a long time, Cupid in Bondage will not fail to deliver if you want gore and erotica in the same breath.
My favourite (if you could call it that), was by far Larger than God, despite the gruesome occurrences, the writing was divine (pun totally intended). Some of the poetry also was a glorious look at the macabre. Sickening was my favourite poem. Sexxxy was an interesting idea, despite the rather lurid descriptions.
I was extremely pleased to see a raft of different types of characters, including age, body type, sex, race, and kinks. And the varying POV from top to bottom, male and female was a delightful mix.
The further into the book you go, the further down the rabbit hole you go, the more grotesque and extreme the stories. It got to the point where I wasn't enjoying the reading, merely observing it as I read. The actions of the characters so far outside of the realm of my reality it placed it into the realm of complete fantasy.
Definitely not for those who are squeamish or value keeping their lunch down. Cupid in Bondage should only be read by adults who want to experience erotic gore and horror at fever pitch.

Ok so I'm not sure if the person reading such extreme sexual horror or the person writing it, is the "Cupid struck" love for it. Maybe it's both but this is gross out factor that puts the gauge through the roof.
"Larger than God" I believe was White's version of Fifty Shades, but much darker shades that will probably melt the bondage straps. *****
"Switch" A short story of porno fetish for-playing. You can almost feel the burn.
"Razor Blade Fuck Time" The disturbing tale of a gay man who needs penetration of a blade, dripping blood and torture to meet his climax. Huge gross out BEWARE!!
White's sexual poetry is twisted, haunting and disturbing. I need to get my hands on his whole collection.
My overall pleasure factor has kicked my climax of reading enjoyment out my pants. In other words this is collection to-be read for all the weirdos out there looking for maybe something new to try in bed. Or to just read and be tortured by Wrath James White while you try to sleep off his vivid imagery.

Another delicious collection by one of my favourite authors. Once again, Wrath blesses us with poems and short stories that will make you feel. Erotic, depraved, blasphemous, yet so delicious.
This Is My Blood, She Wolf, and Bleeding For You were my favourite poems.
Sexxxy and Razor Blade Fuck Toy were my favourite stories from this collection. Sexxxy is my #1 because Wrath mentions one of my favourite characters he's created, Joseph Miles. If you love erotic, bdsm, and so much more then you definitely need this one

Another great collection of very dark short stories. Some very intense and graphic scenes that are not there just for effect but enhance the stories. We of these stories are more sad then horrific. You can really feel the pain of the characters. This is a five star collection but once again it's the poetry that brings it down one star. As I have said before I have a hard time with poetry. The poems here are just not for me. If you like intense poetry you will love these. I will still keep giving poetry a chance. I do hope to one day find poetry that I can really enjoy.
That being said this collection for the stories alone is worth the price and re if you are a fan of this type of horror.

The perfect bedtime storybook for Beast to read with babygirl in his arms.
I thoroughly enjoy these books that Wrath James White has that are collections of poetry and short stories. It pleased me that this one has a little insight into his personal life before you get into it. I was always curious about the man and glad he cared to share.

This is by far my favorite Wrath James White book and at this point, I am proud to say I’ve read multiple works from him. I am utterly head over heels for the fluidity of his writing, not to mention the depth of which it is written. Wrath’s collections, novels, and novellas are often provocative, controversial, educational, and always extreme. However, this one in particular possesses an element of potency that I crave in books but rarely find.
The stories are masterfully crafted with a highly erotic spin that will leave the reader both horrified and intrigued as they process the concepts communicated by this talented author. Personally, I couldn’t wait to read more after every story, and was left reeling at the end.
This collection was one that I could have knocked out fairly quickly, as it is short in length. Yet, I found myself taking my time to truly sit with every word that, as I perceived, was put on the page with immense care.
I encourage my fellow enthusiasts of both the Extreme Horror and Splatterpunk genres to dive into this one and enjoy the multifaceted - and often intense - emotion that was put into each story with precision and reason. I truly feel that I walked away “gaining” from this excellent masterpiece.

Cupid in Bondage by Wrath James White is a composition and collection of poetry as well as short stories with an edge towards the sexual deviant content. With a tongue in cheek subject matter for the master and slave bond, these hardcore character driven tales of titillation will certainly awaken the curiosity that dwells in all that choose to pick up this book. Not only are there extraordinarily over the top entertainment within these pages, but added gifts of advice such as..."stay within lines while coloring." Wrath is one of the best creative minds out there today.

This wasn't as good as his other collection Like Porno For Psychos. I thought this book would be more erotic horror which it is but the horror aspects are minimal. It's basically a mysogonistic wet dream. Every male character is a sexual Dynamo with a huge cock and every female is a slutty slave who can't do anything without their master. It all got a little boring after a while.
