Big Sky Omegas #3

Knot Her Ranchers

Rate this book
All I dreamed of was escaping, so I planned, I observed, and I endured.

When the opportunity to flee crossed my path, I took my children and we ran from the cruel alpha who bonded me against my will.

Fate led us to a ranch where we could be safe, where we could hide…where finding a home might be possible.

I never realized that once I had my freedom, it wouldn’t be enough. The life I could build there seemed too good to be true, and years of mistreatment at the compound taught me it's dangerous to want more.

Were their sweet words real?
Was an omega actually willing to share his pack?
Could alphas truly have a gentle touch?

No matter how much I craved them, I might never be able to heal from the trauma of my past. The world I left behind wouldn’t let me go so easily, and my former alpha would rather put me in the ground than see me happy.

Knot Her Ranchers is a part of the Big Sky Omegas Universe.

I've been waiting for Maisie's book since her character was first introduced in the previous book. I knew it was going to be an emotional one, but surprisingly not as heavy.

The fecking Deckers. I got an inkling of how bad they were in the previous books, but Maisie's story has made things startlingly clear. The physical, emotional, and mental abuse of all the innocents in that compound had to be endured, and it was horrific. I wanted to rage on behalf of all the innocents. Maisie is a brave woman. The cult was all she knew, but she got herself and her children out. Leaving behind everything and everyone had to have been hard, but she was determined to give her children a better life.

The pack that she stumbled across was fated. A shot at a second chance romance and scent matches those who treat her children and her like the precious gifts that they are. All the guys were beyond amazing, cue me swooning. They are very careful and respect any boundaries that may come up. They're exactly what Maisie needed. Even Bryan, who was introduced in the previous book. I like him this time around. It wasn't until this book that I got the full scope of what he's been through. While his and Maisie's situations are different, there were enough similarities that had me feeling for the alpha. The kiddos made my day. I absolutely adored them. Some of my favorite moments were with them. How could they not warm my heart?

Of course, the cult stuff was interesting. I'm finally getting an inside look that really puts things in perspective. The combination of a woman on the run, with kids mixed in with new relationship dynamics, and then add in a lost alpha trying to find his way, the story was nothing short of attention-stealing. I hated that it took me two days to read this one. It was incredible. The Deckers are absolute a-holes, and I love it when they get what's coming to them. I will admit I am (good) surprised by how it was accomplished this time around. Still, it is so satisfying. Big Sky Omegas is a fantastic series that keeps getting better. Knot Her Ranchers was a terrific addition. I hope there's more to come.

Poly / WC Omegaverse Romance

4.5 ⭐️ Great Read!! There’s angst, spice, healing & comfort. It’s a slow burn and it’s also an emotional roller coaster. This does have some dark topics and content so be sure to check the TWs.

All the MMCs (Carter, Wyatt, Colt & Bryan) want is to help her, care for her and do anything they can to make her feel safe (this includes her child as well)… even before they realized she was their scent match. They never push too hard, always letting her figure things out at her pace and only doing things she feels comfortable doing. Like seriously, they are the sweetest MMCs….. even the alpha who doesn’t think he deserves it, Bryan. This alpha is trying to find himself again while also trying to find penance for his past mistakes. He’s also trying to find out where he belongs and how he could possibly contribute to this pack.

I loved the relationships between the MMCs and the children. Cody being the oldest had the hardest time adjusting to being off the compound and away from his dad…. But the MMCs had their own ways and experiences to help him through his emotions.

All the relationships develop at different rates for both Maisie and Bryan.

No cheating, no OWD but ‘drama’ from her Ex, no third act breakup with a HEA

* Second Chance with High School Sweetheart
* Scent Matches
* MMMMF / AAAOO
* Single Mom
* 3 Adorable Children
* Omega on the Run from Abusive Alpha
* Escaping from a a Cult
* 3 Adorable Dogs
* Hurt / Comfort

‘She had broken free from one cage, and I knew she was busy hammering away at the door to another. If we were patient, we would one day get the privilege of seeing her spread her wings.’

“Hold on to the last stone,” Wyatt said quietly. “What we’ve been through will always be with us, but it doesn’t have to define us. We can surrender our hurts to the river, but we always keep one stone, a reminder of all we survived. The burden is lighter, but we choose to carry it and acknowledge the strength it takes to do so.”

Knot Her Ranchers is a story in the author’s Big Sky Omegas series. Although it can be read as a standalone, reading it before books one or two will spoil parts of those books. This sweet omegaverse meets cowboy romance features an omega on the run from her abusive husband. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. Thank you to the author for my eArc.

Tropes and themes include:
✨Sweet omegaverse
✨Cowboy romance
✨Why choose (mmmfm)
✨Established pack with a recent addition
✨Swoonworthy MMCs
✨Momma omega with three little ones
✨Heats and knots
✨Scent matches
✨Two omegas
✨Accidental bonding
✨Omega on the run
✨Adorable (& protective) dogs
✨Multi, first person POV

Rating: 4/5 Stars 3/5 Flames

The Lovely: I absolutely loved how this pack treated the FMC (and her kiddos) and how each MMC played to his strengths and personality. They all want to not only care and love her but want to protect her and make her feel safe too. There are a lot of hurt/comfort/healing vibes mixed with heaps of spice and caregiving for a perfect combo.

The Mundane: It felt to me as though the plot tension was uneven and there wasn’t much build up to the climax. When it finally did happen, it seemed to me liked it was resolved too easily/quickly.

Recommendation: While I don’t read sweet omegaverse frequently I love this author’s writing and her hurt/comfort vibes. This hit the spot as a standalone in a series because it was easy to get into and I still got to see cameos of characters I loved from prior books. If you like sweet omegaverse with an omega on the run and two omegas in the pack, I think you’d like this book.

oh my god- maisie, her kids, and pack have all of my heart and soul. their love for one another is pure and beyond precious. Maisie is incredibly resilient. She had enough courage to get out of a bad situation, to give both her and her children a much better life. But in toll with that, she also found her forever chosen family. All of the men in her pack are golden. Top tier men in my opinion. They each have so much love, patience, and respect for her. They let her take things at her pace, and never pushed her for more. And on top of that: they accepted her and her children with no hesitation. The men loved both her and her kids from the start. They always were up to pitch in and help. They didn’t help with her kids because they needed to, but because they wanted to. Because they were true fathers. I cried so hard when certain words were said. Oh my god it broke me in the best way. I absolutely love when OV books have two omegas, and Maisie and Carter- might as well give them the heart from my chest. They took the time to teach her how to be loved loudly and softly. That love wasn’t locking someone away, but cuddles by the fire and patience. This story is so incredibly sweet. The last chapter had me sobbing like a kid who had their candy stolen. The characters in this, deserve the world. Lexie Quinn always kills it with her books, and this was just spectacular💜 I’m now on the edge of freaking seat for Theo’s story!!! I need it asap!!!

Maisie has been through it
If this is your first in this interconnected, Big Sky Omegas, standalone series, be aware there are some triggers in here that I recommend you read. Now, I do recommend that you read them in order, though it probably not strictly necessary, but having the character backgrounds definitely helps in my opinion. I am so ready for this cultish compound to be taken down, ugh it's so frustrating. Maisie has trauma from her alpha Paul and how he bonded her, and how she and the others are treated in the compound. Until the day she decides to get out with her kids. She finally has a chance and she ends up in the ditch. A good samaritan comes along, Bryan, and takes her and the kids back to where he's been staying. Which just so happens to be the home of her childhood sweetheart, Carter, and the friendly alpha from town that she knows, Wyatt. She meets their packmate Colt, and Bryan has been staying with them and is the packs scent match. Maisie and her kids stay with them until she can get her feet under her.....and it just so happens that even though her first lost Carter is also an omega, she happens to be their scent match as well. Moderately spicy and a lot sweet, I definitely enjoyed this book, but like I said, I'm ready for the end of the Decker compound!

Letting Go And Opening Up
How to outgrow a life that’s chosen for you and start to live your own life. That is what Maisie and Bryan are able to do with the help of Carter, Wyatt and Cole. Their pack had a gift for taking in the lost and lonely and, of course, all of them being scent matches makes accepting everything much easier. Their history, where they came from, was anything but easy. Maisie lived in a cult, forced to marry one of the men and have children with him so he could manipulate her. No special care for an omega, just force and penance. Bryan was manipulated by his parents and the partner they forced on him. (His story is told in the previous book in this series Knot Her Cowboys.)
As with the other books this story is full of psychological problems and how to work through them. It’s so beautifully written, with a lot of understanding what these mean for the person who is standing in the middle of them. The three men in the pack are so honest, caring and loving, it’s a dream to read about them. And of course, their interaction is hot! There is laughter and fun amidst horror and misery. Highly recommended.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Fighting For Her Freedom

I’m a sucker for the trope that deals with an abused heroine finding love & safety with good men. Something about the hurt/comfort thing just gets me every time, and Lexie hit all the feels with Maisie’s story. I’m a domestic abuse survivor myself, and I can honestly say that the way Lexie handles Maisie’s reactions & healing process was pretty spot on & realistic. I was able to very quickly connect to Maisie, and seeing her journey to healing, with the help of the amazing men she finds, was almost therapeutic for me too. With each chapter, you could feel the pain, anger, and frustration that Maisie faced because of the bond she still had connecting her to her abuser, but that just showed how strong she really was. When you add in the patience, strength, caring, and compassion the men showed her & her kids, the balance just felt right. Just so you know, you can totally read this on its own, but things will make just a bit more sense (and hit a touch harder), if you’ve read the 1st two books in the series. I personally loved everything about this book, and can confidently say that it is an emotional roller coaster ride that I definitely plan on revisiting 💜

Maisie's escape to finding her happy ever after with her pack was just wonderful to follow. The relationships were all built slowly which made sense because of what Maisie was forced to endure in the commune. Her kids had such cute moments throughout the book with the dogs, horses and bisons. The alphas actually spending time with the kids too was just so sweet! Wyatt had bonding time with Maisie when she would run errands in the town, Carter was her childhood sweetheart but Colt and Bryan were new but still had sweet moments of bonding here and there. I'm so happy Bryan finally got his happy ever after and you could feel his remorse through the pages as you read on.

Paul got a satisfying ending, was so pleased with that! Can't wait to read about Theo and Natalie and their pack! This was such a good standalone, can easily recommend this universe!

I think this book is so beautifully crafted in sense where we are painfully aware of how much Maisie has suffered and her kids, it’s so heartbreaking but the way the author wrote this with such a powerful message and tenderness and compassion!

But also the balance of the story is amazingly well done, because through all the trauma processing and healing that this momma has to do with her kids, is the fact that she’s forming a connection with this beautiful pack full of incredible attentive and loving alphas who are devoted to her and her children since minute one.

I simply adore this men, the were all so patient and caring, there were zero doubts about them being smitten by this little family so reading how they formed a bond with Maisie but even more delicate, with her kids… ugh was amazing!

This story is very heartbreaking as is beautiful, sweet and meaningful!

Maisie!!!!! If you’ve been reading this series from the start, you know those Deckers are nothing but trouble. If you haven’t started this series…..I highly recommend the first two books. . My heart has been aching for Maisie and her little ones since we met her. To say I’m elated to have her book in my hands is an understatement. When the opportunity for Maisie to get her and her littles free from her awful alpha, she takes it. Carter, an Omega with a heart of gold, and his pack are ready to become Maisie’s safe space. Maisie has a long road to recovery, she’s lived through some pretty dark experiences at the hands of her previous alpha. I love that her journey wasn’t rushed. I love that the kids were a big part of this story. Their feelings and reactions were taken into account and I think it was very well done. There were some hints dropped for the next book and I am so excited!

I've been waiting so long to read Maisie's story. She deserved the happiest of endings, and Lexie delivered! It made me laugh, and it absolutely made me cry. Maisie went through sooooo much, but her new pack took such amazing care of her and her sweet children.

This is an emotional read, please check TW because it deals with some heavy themes, but Ms. Quinn always packs in the most love, spice, and healing for her FMCs. Maisie leaves an abusive marriage and stumbles right into the arms of her dream pack.

-Found family.
-Male omega plus 3 sexy alphas.
-FMC healing journey (fleeing a cult with her 3 children.)
-Double omega pack.
-Second chance romance with high school sweetheart.
-Cute dogs (and bisons.)
-So much love and tender care.
-SPICE, SPICE, SPICE!

This was such a sweet and heartbreaking read. I love how fate worked in this.

Maisie has such a dark life but is so strong for her kids, but it has left her with a lot of baggage to wade through. Bryan, from Riley's story, also has a lot of baggage he is working through. My heart hurt for him so much, but I loved seeing him heal and forgive himself.

Carter, Wyatt, and Cole are everything. Strong, patient, kind, and so supportive. I loved them so much.

This could be a great read for anxious readers but there is a part that will kick up your panic, it is over pretty quickly so for me it was fine.

This is a very heavy emotional read. This is a story that I enjoyed reading. This book is a roller coaster of emotions and trauma’s.

All I dreamed of was escaping, so I planned, I observed, and I endured.
I never realized that once I had my freedom, it wouldn’t be enough. The life I could build there seemed too good to be true, and years of mistreatment at the compound taught me it's dangerous to want more.
No matter how much I craved them, I might never be able to heal from the trauma of my past. The world I left behind wouldn’t let me go so easily, and my former alpha would rather put me in the ground than see me happy.

I really enjoyed reading this book, I loved the background storyline that continued on from the previous book and really liked seeing Maisie get her story told. The story itself had me hooked from the beginning, I found that I couldn’t put it down and I just needed to see how everything ended. I fell in love with the characters and found the book ended with a satisfying conclusion. I am already looking forward to the release of the next book in the series and can’t wait to read it. I would highly recommend giving this book a read.

Maisie made me want to reach through the book and give her a big squeeze. While this definitely wasn't my favorite book by Lexie, it did have a satisfying redemption arc for Bryan and quick revenge for Maisie which I loved. I also thought the hair cutting, rocks, and letter burning that Wyatt talked both Maise and Bryan through was a great way of showing them releasing trauma and overcoming what they went through. The first time I read that the dogs were named Whiskey, Tango and Foxtrot, I did have a good chuckle over the hidden WTF meaning.

Maisie was finally able to get away from the compound and her abus!ve alpha. Fate intervened and brought her and her kids to the ranch where Carter, her high school love, Wyatt, her crush acquaintance from town, and their pack mates live. They quickly realize they’re all scent matched, but they have to figure out how to keep her and the kids safe from the compound permanently. Slow burn because of lots of trauma, but the guys are all so loving and caring to Maisie and her kids, helping to rewrite their lives and futures. A little dark with some possible triggers. Loved it!!!

I was happy to see his story unfold as well. This was soo good. The way the kids are also trying to navigate a new household and all the feelings. Cody has a place in my heart for trying to navigate his feelings about his dad and now his new ones. Soo good. Can’t wait for Natalie’s and Theo

The story pictured as a heavy one, I was ready for a crying session!
It is beautifully written, the characters are well developed and them and the story trigger emotions The only thing I missed a bit is the rollercoasters Lexie usually has in her books. This one was more focused on learning and developing deeply the characters instead, but thats just a personal preference!
Can't wait to read more from her!

I adored Knot Her Ranchers! It helped to deepen Quinn's OV world as well as progressed the overall storyline due to with the cu!t, it was really fun and I'm so excited to see where this goes.

This two-omega pack was so perfect, the sweetness of their childhood friends to lovers vibes was incredible, as well as all of the boyfriends being boyfriends. The characters all had beautiful relationships with one another and seeing those alphas take care of her kids was making my ovaries weep.

Recommended if you like spicy poly OV with some domestic sweetness and a dash of cu!t drama.

I really don't know how to put into words how much I enjoyed this freaking book. It's just so good. Especially since I am not a slow burn girl at all especially when it's an Omega verse but in this case it made sense and the story itself made me not care as much. I just loved how everything came together and I love how Maisie and the kids got the life that they deserved with such an amazing pack.

Listen… if Lexie writes it, I AM READING IT!!!!

I am feral for all the characters this author invents! The MMCs are always the biggest green flags that make my heart flutter and this book was no different!

This is a must read! But please check your triggers! This book was the heaviest in the series and deals with dark themes, trauma, and so much healing ❤️‍🩹
