Tiffany Thompson came to expose the Sunshine Sanctuary. She might leave as his most prized cow.
The world believes the Sanctuary produces cruelty-free milk. Behind its polished glass walls lies something far more dangerous; women remade for one purpose, bound to machines that coax them into a state of helpless, aching surrender. Every drop a mix of pleasure, shame… and complete obedience.
Carter Hill is the Sanctuary’s master. He’s charming, meticulous, and utterly merciless. His touch is a command. His gaze strips away defenses. He doesn’t just want Tiffany’s secrets; he wants her body, her will, her milk. And he will shape her into perfection, no matter how she resists.
She came to destroy him. He plans to consume her.
In a world where desire is a weapon and the line between pain and ecstasy disappears, Tiffany must decide if she’s fighting the monster… or falling in love with him.

This book is not for the faint of heart—and it doesn’t pretend to be. Milk is a dark, dystopian kink romance that explores control, transformation, and the razor-thin line between pleasure and degradation.
Tiffany enters the Sunshine Sanctuary to expose its secrets. She might leave as its most prized possession.
Carter Hill is the kind of villain who doesn’t need to raise his voice—his gaze alone strips you bare. He doesn’t just want Tiffany’s body. He wants her obedience, her surrender, her milk. And he’ll reshape her until she begs for it.
This isn’t a love story. It’s a descent into desire, shame, and the terrifying beauty of submission.

Milk by L.M. Stone ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Sci-Fi Dark Romance * Dual POV * Vitiligo Rep * Plus Size FMC * Hucow * Captive * Slow Burn * BDSM * Dub-Con * Exhibitionism * Power Play * Forced Transformation * Morally Grey MMC * 321 pages
This one could have been a Feral Friday pick, but since I reserve those for short, unhinged reads, I’m slotting this one into my regular reviews—because it deserves the spotlight.
If you haven’t heard of "hucow" in BDSM before, you might want to incognito-mode that search. It’s niche, sci-fi flavored, and yes, this book leans into genetic modification to give that human-cow element. Sounds strange, right? But don’t let that turn you off—this story is so much more than the kink. It’s layered, complex, and surprisingly emotional.
⚠️ Do check your triggers before diving in—this one is dark with shades of horror. But if you can handle it, the pay-off is worth it.
Our FMC is plus size and has vitiligo, something she’s been made to feel insecure about her whole life. But Carter, our obsessive captor MMC, sees her as extraordinary—so much so that he claims her. The romance is slow burn, but the smut is plentiful, explicit, and woven into the plot instead of just sprinkled on top. Even the secondary characters feel fleshed out.
The writing is vivid, the tension thick, and yes—you get your HEA at the end. Sometimes trying something outside your comfort zone is the best surprise. So drink your milk before it curdles, and check this one out when it releases Sept 12.
This book was a different read from my usual, and I'm all here for it, It Mooed me all the way till the end, definitely took me by surprise each chapter and the Male character Carter oh my gosh now that was a freaken plot twist Talk about being milked, Yup you certainly milked me all the way till the last page This is one where you have to read it yourself I don't want to spoil it for you, now we both know we don't like spoiled milk ;) I don't know what L.M.Stone does but she has a way of luring you in with each chapter in her books and leaving you hooked and finning for more. With her Plot twist that have you double reading leaving you mind f***** .. Yes her books are that good!! You think you know Smut Oh no Little Calf I beg to differ...she redefines it !! But then again her work may not be up to your liking which is fine it may not be for everyone .. Overall I recommend this book But please read Trigger Warnings !!! Before diving into the Abyss..
I knew what the tropes of the book was but other than that I went into the book 100% blind. I had no idea what to expect. The title Milk, seems like a sweet name right?? I wouldn’t characterize this book as sweet.
I have never read anything like this before and that’s not a bad thing, I read this book in one sitting once I read the first page I couldn’t stop reading. First off I love that this has plus size girl rep and the FMC had a skin condition called Vitiligo. Ahh I love the representation!!
Tiffany lies and goes undercover to find out the truth about this milking farm… she goes in trying to unveil the truth.. but nothing is as it seems.
Carter is the CEO of the company and is immediately obsessed with Tiffany.
This whole story is omg CRAZY, but I was so entertained, turned on???, giggling Idk what to tell you but this book was so crazy but so good!
So I’ve read a couple of Hucow books in my reading journey, but this is definitely my first “horror” one. There was definitely some times during the story where I was looking at the MMC like “uhhhh which way we taking this, because some of your hyper fixations are raising some flags sir.” (Trust the process it works out in the end) The spin Liberty put on it definitely made it an interesting read that keeps you hooked the whole time, from the farm itself to the background of the characters, with plenty of twists and turns to the point I’m still trying to figure out if I got the big reveal right 🤣🤣. If you’re into dark Sci-fi or even if you like reading hucow stories you should definitely check this out because it’s a bit of an experience.
This was the most baffling, inconsistent book with every trope and random plot tossed in and somehow a slow burn with like two brief sex scenes??
Nothing made sense. There were so many errors it was wild. Constantly odd timelines, with random info drops that had no on-page mention and had me reading back and forth to wonder where things happened. It was the most jumbled and disorienting book I've read in a while.
My book club read it, and we were all yelling about how many issues this was riddled with and would not recco it.
5⭐ reading spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ To be milked is to be claimed,to be claimed is to be transformed. This book is dark, extreme, raw and beautiful. It pushing me reading it always wanting to know what will happen next. This book stand appart from everything I read until now.She was determined to ruin him,he become obsessed with her, possesive, ready to do whatever it takes to keep her for himself. This book might not be everyone's cup of milk but I definitely recommend it.
Y’all this book was wild. It had me questioning everything about myself. It is dark, it isn’t a silly wee speed read. L.M delivers yet another story that is surprisingly beautiful and takes hold of you and grips you the whole way through. I’m struggling to write a review that doesn’t spoil the story. This is definitely one you have to read for yourself. The psychological tension, the trauma, the spice…..everything was so well written. You definitely need to read the trigger warnings for this one and go in with an open mind.
Milk by L.M. Stone is one of those rare reads that takes a niche, taboo kink and transforms it into something layered, emotional, and completely unputdownable. A sci-fi dark romance with dual POV, plus-size vitiligo representation, and a morally grey MMC who will haunt your every thought, this book is unlike anything else I’ve read.
From the start, Stone throws you into a strange, unsettling, and vividly built world—one where genetic modification is used to blur the lines between human and animal, giving the infamous “hucow” element its sci-fi flavor. If you’ve never heard of it before, you might be tempted to side-eye or back away—but don’t. What makes Milk so brilliant is that the kink isn’t the whole story. It’s part of a much larger narrative—one that is dark, horrifying at times, but also deeply human and achingly emotional.
⚠️ Trigger Warnings: This is not a soft or easy read. It contains heavy dub-con, captivity, forced transformation, and shades of horror. It’s twisted, messy, and intense. But if you can handle those triggers, the payoff is absolutely worth it.
Our heroine is everything I want in a dark romance FMC. Plus-size, covered in vitiligo, and struggling with insecurities that have shadowed her life—yet her presence feels powerful and real. She isn’t just a flat character written to fit a trope; she’s layered, vulnerable, and resilient. Then we have Carter—our obsessive, morally grey captor MMC. He doesn’t just want her; he sees her as extraordinary. His fixation is terrifying, his need for her absolute. There’s something magnetic about the way he claims her, a blend of reverence and brutality that makes every scene with him impossible to look away from.
The romance builds as a slow burn, but don’t mistake that for a lack of spice. The intimacy is explicit, plentiful, and woven seamlessly into the plot. Every scene adds depth to the characters and the world, rather than feeling like filler. The BDSM elements, exhibitionism, and power play are unapologetic, raw, and scorching, yet still manage to serve the story at every turn.
What truly elevates this book, though, is the writing. Stone’s prose is sharp and vivid, painting a world that feels both futuristic and nightmarish. The tension is thick, the pacing relentless, and the emotional undercurrent hits hard when you least expect it. Even the side characters feel fleshed out, adding to the complexity of the narrative instead of serving as background noise.
And yes—you do get your HEA. It’s not soft, it’s not clean, but it fits the story perfectly. The journey is brutal, but the ending feels earned, and that’s exactly what makes it so satisfying.
Milk is not just a kink-heavy dark romance—it’s a daring, genre-bending story that blends horror, sci-fi, and love into something unforgettable. It’s twisted, terrifying, and yet strangely tender. L.M. Stone proves once again that stepping out of your comfort zone can give you the most rewarding reading experiences.
Drink your milk before it curdles—and don’t miss this release on September 12.
carter is the charming ceo of sunshine sanctuary producing cruelty-free milk. but tiff suspects otherwise & was very determined to xpose his company's not so cruel-free ways.
PAGE👏🏽TURNER👏🏽 really took me by surprise!! what i thought was juz a smutty hucow story...nooo!! theres so much more!! this book altered my brain chemistry coz it didnt matter what horrors & heavy themes were tackled... i needed to know what happens nxt!! not to mention the spice i didnt know i needed from this & carter'sdoublereveal. so if u enjoy finding love in the darkness & in the most unexpected places like me, give this a go!! & for the love of all things milky... pls leave ur morals at the door before cracking this open😆 what a fun & wild ride!!
All the love, happiness, and sense of fulfillment I had started with one thing: Milk.
I went into this book with complete blind curiosity I didn’t even know what “Hucow” was, but I ended up really enjoying it (who would have thought?).
The story follows Tiffany, our FMC, who is carrying a traumatic past that’s shaped her present. Determined to expose Sunshine Sanctuary for being overcrowded, unsanitary, and neglectful to its bovine residents, she sets out to uncover the truth. But the sanctuary isn’t at all what it seems.
Carter, our MMC and the owner, has his own painful history that drew him back to the very place he once wanted to leave behind. From the moment he meets Tiffany, he feels an undeniable claim over her. She’s hesitant at first, but soon finds herself unable to resist him.
The plot was engaging and kept me guessing right to the end. And Carter’s secret? A complete surprise and one I absolutely loved.
There are some triggering moments throughout, but they’re handled in a way that highlights both characters’ growth and makes the ending feel all the more satisfying and well earned.
Perhaps, I thought with an almost smile, we were truly made for each other. A perfect fit - Carter.
Not going to lie… Every time I dive into Liberty's books, it's like I'm having a whole new wild adventure 😅
I was grinning like a fool reading this part of the dedication: 'For the ones who learned to moo instead of scream.' I know I probably shouldn't… but can you really blame your girl? ☺️
I braced myself for something simple, maybe even silly and I seriously thought this would be all about cows, milk, and whatever happens in between 🫣 But this book is so much more; how people rise above their pain, fighting through what hurts you, find strength in unexpected way, discovering small sparks of joy in the strangest, darkest places, and stumble upon truths they never expected. Sometimes reality isn't what it seems 🥀
Carter is intricate, with depths I can't guess at first glance while Tiffany is her own harshest critics, never seeing the beauty others do 💔
You know those books that spark your curiosity, pull you into new experiences, make you fall in love, and bury you in trauma all at once? That's exactly what Liberty's Milk did to me 🖤
A 5☆ read. Who knew milk could make me feel so naughty? 🤭🥛 Trust me… Carter's surprises in this book, totally worth losing sleep over 🙈☺️
⚠️ Will challenge your sanity and keep you questioning what's real. Check those trigger warnings. Your mental health matters 🌼
Tiff wants to find out what really goes on behind the walls & NDAs of the Sunshine Sanctuary but she might get more than she bargained for! One look at her unique beauty & soft curves has Carter Hill obsessed & in no doubt that she will become his very own prized.. 🐮 possession.
Ok, full disclosure: there’s triggers a plenty with this one but beneath all of its red flagged & unhinged glory, a story of understanding & acceptance shines through, showing that love truly can develop in the most unexpected of places. I’m equally in awe & mind boggled at where Liberty’s inspiration comes from but I’m most definitely here for it!! I devoured the book as the plot had me hooked from the first pages & the spice!! Oh, my!!! The spice will quite literally blow your socks off!!
Highly recommend for those open minded to all kinds of eccentricities & smutty delights in their reads!!
This is my first ever sci-fi monster erotic read, so I was going into this completely naive. It’s rare for me to finish a sci-fi book because the technical context (especially when it’s outside of my interests) goes over my head and the flow of the story gets lost. I didn’t find that with MILK.
The story had a good start in setting the scene/time. Introduction of the characters and their backstories were placed well in understanding of their relations to the main characters and the story.
Who would have thought milk would cause so much concerns? The high demand and promise of cruelty-free gave away red flags.
The build up of the mystery of it all to the pivotal moments were paced-well. I really enjoyed the fact that the main characters had their spicy scenes later after their relationship was more established. It showed more of the intimacy between them and not just about lust and sexual appetite. This is also shown with the supporting characters, which I hope to look forward to reading if they get their stories told. To be honest, these spicy scenes were more a bonus because I got invested in the story alone. Questions were answered and main characters found closure/redemption from their past traumas.
Overall, I recommend MILK if you want to dabble sci-fi with dark romance.
Milk by L.M. Stone was a whole trip! I can honestly say that I have never read a book like this. Which is not a bad thing! It is super unique. This book had me intrigued the whole time I was reading it! I could not put it down! No spoilers, but I definitely did not expect the ending/plot twist, AT ALL! L.M. Stone did a really good job with this story. It’s full of wtf moments. It’s full of trauma and trauma healing. The character development was executed very well!
This was my first read by L.M. Stone, but it definitely won’t be my last! I 100% recommend this to anyone who likes sci fi horror and wants to read something that is unique and out of the box!
This book left me speechless. I love the feeling of starting a book and knowing it is going to be a 5 star ⭐️ read. It was excellent from the start to finish. This book is unhinged and twisted in all the darkest places you can imagine! 10/10
I find myself chasing and looking for books like this that leave me speechless after reading them, and not knowing what to read next !! I am so excited to read more books by this authors. I was captivated by the creativity and writing style. I will definitely look for more books by this author …..
Who do I need to see about getting a refund on my time for this. It’s my fault I realize I could have DNF’d but I kept going.
This book has no idea what genre it wants to be in, but that’s okay because all of the ones it tries to be it does it poorly. The inconsistencies ARE WILD. The timeline of events makes zero sense. The actions of characters will make you want to scream into the void.
I cannot. It was terrible. I’m pretty sure the author is allergic to proofreading and editing. Hate, hate, double hate.
I'm no stranger to monster smut but I haven't read much scifi. Hucow? I didn't even know that was a thing so this piqued my interest right away. And you know what? Moo baby cuz I devoured this book in one sitting. I said wtf multiple times but it kept me turning the page and invested. Things aren't always what they seem and I will take all the Carter I can get. Check TWs and give this a chance. It was wild and twisty and I need more.
I had never read a story like this before but when I saw it I thought omg what the hell I need to see what this is about!
I literally have no idea how to articulate how I feel when I think about what I read but I do know that I couldn’t STOP reading it Tiff and Carter’s relationship was based on obsession and Stockholm syndrome yet, once again it worked lol
This is my first (horrifying and delightfully entertaining) impression of LM Stone. I had the opportunity to ARC read this book that kept me wondering what was wrong with me the whole time I was reading. This is probably the most taboo, dark book that booktok hasn't discovered yet. LM has definitely hooked me on her writing, and I can say with absolute certainty that I will never ever see milk the same way. I will be reading this again!!!
This book was an unhinged, diabolical ride I never saw coming. In a field crowded with masked stalkers and billionaire romances, Milk stands apart- dark, depraved, and impossible to look away from. With twist after twist (and a HEA), you'll be hooked til the last drop. If you're looking for a what did I just read and why did I like it moment, pick this up.
I promise you I will never be able to look at milk the same way after reading this book. Was I extremely entertained absofreaking-lutely. was it strange and unhinged Yes. I have no idea how this author came up with this concept but I just really want to look at her brain and see how she came up with this because ma'am how.
Well this was certainly not what I expected and in the best way! I was thinking it was going to be on a more crude, taboo side, but the amount of depth and plot poured into this story!! Wow! What started as a twisted game, really just proved everyone’s true colors and accepting them for what they are (or destroying them…) I experienced way more emotions than I was prepared for. What a pleasant surprise
This book took a sharp right turn into crazy and never slowed down – and I was absolutely here for it. It’s unhinged, off the walls, and definitely not what anyone would call normal.
If you’re looking for a story that pushes boundaries and keeps you guessing, this one delivers. From start to finish, it defies expectations in the best way.
This was my very first monster-themed dark romance, and wow—what a wild ride! Dark, intriguing, and surprisingly fun, it kept me hooked from start to finish. L.M. Stone did an incredible job with the writing. Congratulations! And… Moooooo 🐄💀
I was not ready for this spicy book! Lots of triggers, but amazingly well written and kept me engaged and thrilled the entire time! I could not put it down. The captive romance relationship was an amazing trope I found to love. Can’t wait for her other books!
