A Must-Read!!!
Straight-forward, honest, no-nonsense writing that gets right down to the heart of communicating with God. Though I've heard or read a lot of this before, the information in this book is written in a way that I really feel I can use. The author is speaking right to my spirit and stirring up a strong desire in my heart to get to work. This book even gives practical advice on how to do just that. I intend to read it often until I see real change in this area!!! Anyone who is serious about growing in the Holy Spirit needs to read this book.

Good Read
This book was very informative and although it goes into great detail on how to "understand the will of God for your life" I feel that you won't really know until it actually practicing the things that Adam teaches thru scripture. There's really no exact way but it's a personal thing between you and the Lord. I recommend this book to any Christian who us looking for direction and closeness with our creator.

This book is excellent. It is a foundation on which you can build discerning the voice and Will of God in your walk. I highly recommended reading for anyone who is serious about enhancing their spiritual relationship with God
It even challenges you to exercise your faith during the course of reading it. I'm glad I came across this title to read. I will be looking for more books by this author.

I would recommend this book to. Anyone interested in being close to God. What ever reason you have in your heart ,this helps bring prayers out of you from your heart.

Hearing God's voice
I really like this book. It was very easy to relate to. I have better understanding on how to listen to God's voice. And for any Christian that is looking for a better understanding of getting to the will of God for their lives this is a great start.

Easy quick read
Quick read to help you build a relationship with the Lord. It all boils down to prayer, which is why I gave it three stars. Prayer should be your focus for your relationship with the Lord. This book for me didn't provide a deeper toolset for my prayer life.

If you are passionate to follow God's will for your life, I highly recommend this book to give you a good jump start.
Though it is written in a very simple way, it truly gets to the heart of the matter and you will be on fire to do His will.
I've known His will for me for several years, but I constantly,I mean constantly have doubts. (Weekly,if not daily). It's something that would seem so "out there" by one's natural human mind. If others' knew,they'd think I was crazy! I sometimes think I'm crazy. (I'm sure Noah could have related.) But as the author has pointed out, oftentimes it is this way. Sometimes, I don't see how I'm contributing, but I need to trust and have faith that ,no matter how small it seems to me, it's part of His design. Who am I to question?
This book has reminded me to constantly pray and constantly listen and obey. In all areas of my life. I know when I'm in the midst of doing what He has told me to do, I feel an overwhelming peace and happiness that I don't always have. I want this to be more constant and I mustn't let my doubts keep creeping in.

It was ok
OK this was the second book I read by this author. The book itself was good. However this time he did not include as many scripture references to back up his points. If you want to tell me something about God, show me where he says what you are saying about him is true. I believe him first, then you if you back your theories up with him. The material presented is good and I highly prothesise it is good theroy. But, more references to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, how he works in us, how he reveals God's Word... It was theroy on not following the leadership of the Holy Spirit and God and how doing so is sin against God as well as ancedotes on how you know it really is God leading you... But tell me more about what he says about how he leads us. But as I said, the book overall was a good read. I will probably read another book by him because I like the Author's ideas and methods so far.

Mr. Houge shares many good tips for how to receive guidance from the Lord, which are helpful for all believers. This is a short book, which I liked, because it avoided the fluff and got to the point. Probably the most helpful concept was the reminder that we should not assume, but should deliberately invite God to guide us day by day through each decision, and not move before hearing Him speak.
In the second to the last chapter, "Understanding the Voice of God," I felt that his approach was a bit too simplistic. What were presented as sure-fire ways to receive guidance made me think, "Well, it depends a lot on the circumstances. I'm not sure these points are always true." I could have also hoped for a little more detail on how to recognize the many ways God speaks.

Thought the book would've been more targeted as it pertains to the will of God for us. The author explains that there are three wills of God or three categories of the will of God. The ultimate, the passive permissive, and the perfect will of God. Why not change the title of the book to, How to understand the three wills of God? I believe scripture teaches The Will of God through understanding what the Word says. The Lord wouldn't complicate His own Will.

I have learn a lot from this book. I totally agreed that through persistence in prayer, God is always there to guide us through his Holy Spirit.
Very inspiring book. I recommended this book to all Christians and non Christians.
