Bounty hunter Falon Harris is asked to go after outlaw biker Tom Kellen and tracks him to where he's hiding out in Stags Leap, KY, laying low and waiting for the heat to pass. Rita James operates a busy tavern/grill and occasionally rents out the little camper trailer on her back lot. Figuring the tavern is the most logical place to watch for Kellen, Falon rents the trailer for a week. The first night, while he's having dinner and watching everything, Kellen shows up and starts giving Rita a hard time. The bartender puts a stop to it, but Falon gets the idea it's happened before. Knowing Kellen's past, he knows the biker won't take no for an answer for long.
We all know real life, real people, and real love aren't always roses and rainbows. I do my best to keep my characters, and their love, as real as possible, even if that includes an occasional stereotype or insta-love. Let's face it. Stereotypes exist for a reason, and love at first sight is a real thing.
So, if you're good with those things, and with: dirty-talking, overprotective alpha males as heroes, and strong, smart heroines; sexual tension and steamy sex scenes; a man willing to do anything, even kill, for the woman he loves (and sometimes the other way around)... Well, then you might love my books. If those things make you squeamish, these are definitely not for you.
In case you've just found me, I'm Aden, a male romance author in a female dominated world. I live in the south eastern US, in the middle of nowhere, with the wife of my dreams, Elyse. We have a few fur babies, and a horse named Joe.
This was very well written and I enjoyed the storyline and the colorful characters. Aden writes very well, and can spin a story well enough to take a standardized recipe for a dance, and make it feel enjoyable anyway. However, I'm 3 starring this because there were two issues I could not get over no matter how I really wanted to. Spoiler alert.
Ok, rant over. I do love how the TBC ending will bring us back to the first story. Very smart twist to round out the plot.
Well, WTF? I had no idea that this book would end so abrubtly and roll into a 3rd. I should have looked into it more before starting. I may change the star rating after reading the thrid book. I liked the first one. We'll see about these 2. Hunted Love #2 - #3: So, I liked the first book (didn’t love it, but liked it ok) and was under the very incorrect assumption that these were both stand-alone works. Again (from my review of Book 1) the chemistry between the characters was lacking to me. I will say Fallon and Rita seemed to make more sense than Kate and Jakob. The sex scenes were ok. The writing seemed rushed, and by book 3, I was wondering if I should have taken notes to keep up with the plot. It was just a little disjointed. It was an interesting idea to tie the characters together in a 3rd book, but my criticism from book one still stands for 2 and 3, the endings are abrupt, the characters just disappear, and the storyline just sort of no longer mattered. I liked the characters; they just were never fully developed enough for me to really care about. Interesting at the time, but forgettable. This series is an ok read. You won’t get invested, but you will be somewhat entertained.
Falon is a man with no connections to base him in one place for long. he's a man of many resources. he's a bounty hunter. He's only used to skip traces of child support, and domestic situations. But his new mission is to capture and felon who's dangerous, he's an MC leader and a twisted bastard. When Falon rolls into a small town in Kentucky, he wasn't expecting to meet a woman with long black hair and perfect hips to aquire is main attention. Rita has been a conquest of Kellen, the man Felon is after. Could she help in taking down this murderous individual? does Falon take her on the next part of his journey?
I struggled to put this one down. With a little bit of a shaky start, I soon got engrossed. Felon is ex military and freakin Hot! I loved the storyline and it flowed easily. I look forward to the next part in this series.
Aden you did it again. I loved Big Game and now Bounty. First Jakob and Kate now Falon and Rita. Looking forward to seeing what adventures unfold in book 3. Hot Sexy Cowboy Jakob throw in Hot sexy Biker Bounty Dude Falon I am sure book 3 is going to be a wild wonderful ride. IM trying to picture a Cowboy on a Horse and a guy on a Harley lol for this next adventure, which why I am a reader and not a writer. For anyone who loves Cowboys and Motorcycle Sexy as Hell Men these books are for you.
Mr Lowe has done it again! Another fantastic read in Bounty, Hunted Love Book 2. Rita and Fallon, are two characters that were destined for each other. This author writes for real people that have to overcome real hurdles in their lives through love and support. Mr Lowe's writing style is crisp and moving. You are always involved in whatever scene he portrays. He gets better with every book. I recommend this series to everyone and look forward to the third book.
Aden i loved this second book, Falon and Rita make such a nice couple, the sex scenes were hot!!! Can't wait to find out what happens between them and also what happens when they catch up to Kellen, Keep up the good work Aden :)
I had high hopes for this to be a decent book, but it was terrible, all over the place, not something that kept my attention nor had a very good story line.
What I loved:
Rita-What a badass chick!!! I FLOVE when an author makes the heroines badass and no-nonsense. Rita is so relatable to me. She has been through some life events, yet somehow she manages to stay strong, but feminine. She reacts like a real woman does to an attractive guy. I also enjoyed how, when Falon enters the picture, she tries to tell herself nothing will be long term, but knows she is lying to herself when she feels that first buzz of electricity between them.
Falon-Who the heck doesn’t like a bounty hunting, alpha-biker? Whew. Falon was all business even when it came down to giving the business. He is a tough guy and also a former service man (Did I forget to mention that?…sorry ladies!) who is sent to hunt down a bad news biker. Falon is on a mission to get the bad guy but does he want to keep the girl too? She may not give him much of a chance. (This is all I can really say about all this because there is an awesomely fantabulous sneak attack twist!)
What I didn’t love: GAHHHH…I hate to say that I HATE anything because let’s be honest here. We know I really didn’t. But….the camper creeped me out. I think it may be due to some whack a doodle childhood prank my dad pulled on me when I was little. Anyway I digress. Its weird to have random people just stay in a camper outside your place and your business. But…then again it added some doom to the story I suppose.
Overall: I am still absolutely floored that this male author stays classy and can write such relatable female characters. He claims he is a romance writer, but he is also a suspense writer. The ability to intertwine characters and keep them straight is a talent all on its own. But then you go and throw in a freaking twist LIKE THAT!!! ADEN! I almost passed out! Well done! Captured is up next!!!
Bounty: Hunted Love #2 proves it is possible to have mystery, suspense, danger and angst...that only enhances the story's central romance - not deter from, or overshadow it.
Bounty hunter, Falon Harris and tavern owner, Rita James have no deep, dark secrets in their pasts. No powder kegs threatening to explode. No skeletons trying to dance their way out of the closet. They are simply two people who have been betrayed by life...and their hearts. Instead of wallowing in self-pity and blaming the universe, they each move on with life in a sad, and mostly solitary existence. Their paths cross when Falon rides into town seeking his latest bounty, dangerous MC leader, Tom Kellen. The physical attraction is almost instant. But they're both caught off guard as the attraction turns to something deeper very quickly, and the chemistry between these two practically leaps off the page!
I love the "coming together" of Falon and Rita. It was almost as if they had no choice, no other options. After witnessing a incident in the tavern, Falon has to fight to keep his protective nature in check when it becomes crystal clear than Rita can handle her business (and that little firecracker, Georgie, is always at the ready to have Rita's back!) Falon even feels a sense of pride at watching the woman in action. And...that concerns him because she isn't his woman.
Kellen and his MC's machinations keep interfering in the blossoming romance, and sooner than he'd like, Falon has to put his growing feelings for Rita on the back burner to pursue Kellen and find a way to take him in. Only Rita "ain't having it!" Her reasons for helping Falon are all very practical...and a means to an end. Falon doesn't protest - and he may even be looking forward to it.
Falon Harris doesn't come off as hard and distant as some heroes. There is a "humanness" about him that allows you to feel his pain without pitying him. I am definitely #TeamFalon! Rita is a jewel. Confident and focused, she's dealing with her lot in life as best she can. Other than a lapse in judgement on a brief involvement with Kellen, she's not doing bad at all. No time for whining, crying or feeling sorry for herself.
This will be a story I definitely go back to, and I highly recommend it!
This series concludes in "Captured: Hunted Love #3".
(I won my ecopy of "Bounty: Hunted Love #2 from the author during a book chat party in October 2014.)
What I Loved: I like the kind of edginess to this story a lot. Falon right away comes off as a man you don’t want to cross, unless he’s naked and you are as well! Although he has a kind of dark side to him, there is also something about him that makes you want to reach out and heal him as well. I love that his character is multifaceted with many different sides. It makes the plot of the story less black and white and more gray which to me makes the plot easier to become engrossed in. I think the same can be said for Rita as well, she’s a woman with a past and has fought her way out of many holes and have the scars to prove it. I love that although she’s had such a rough past, and tragic in a way there is something about her that is still very relatable making her more real and down to earth. I love that Rita speaks her mind and doesn’t put up with bullshit at all, and knows how to protect what’s her. Rita is definitely one of my favorite overall female leads and she’s a breath of fresh water in a very big genre.
Not So Much: I think my main pet peeve about this book is that I wish it was a little bit longer. I get that there is another book coming out, and maybe we will unearth more of Falon’s secrets and his past. But in the meantime I wish there was more attention paid to Rita’s past in this book. I felt like even if there was just one more page going into more detail about all the drama in her life growing up and stuff I would’ve enjoyed it more. Rita is a very relatable character and that’s great but I felt like when she does talk about her life, it was the perfect opportunity to add more. I don’t feel that way about Falon yet because I don’t feel like that perfect opportunity has come yet, we have gotten parts of it and there has been a couple bombshells but I feel like everything with him will come to light when it’s supposed to, but with Rita it should’ve already.
In this book we meet bounty hunter Falon Harris and tavern/grill owner Rita James. Falon is given the task of tracking down outlaw biker, Kellen. When he stops in Stags Leap, he ends up the Rattlesnake, and meets Rita who offers him a place to stay while he is in town. Falon and Rita are struck with a connection and an intense attraction. Kellen has his sights sets on Rita and this does not sit well with Falon who was tasked with picking up Kellen. Will Falon succeed in his mission and be able to get Kellen and bring him down? Will he be able to protect Rita from the danger of Kellen? Will Rita and Flon give into their desires and passion?
I loved the characters Falon and Rita. Falon has a protective nature about him that I find endearing. Rita is a strong woman who has been through a lot in life. I find her strength to be admirable and it is one of my favorite characteristics in a leading female character. I felt like I could connect and relate with these characters as they are everyday people. They are not far-fetched in any way shape of form. Once again I find that Aden does a great job creating imagery with his words. It is like painting a picture while reading and I appreciate that in a book. I could easily see the book in my head based on the writing. There are some steamy sections in this book and I find that I love the way Aden writes a scene. They are detailed, yet classy. This was a quick read and I was able to finish it in one sitting. I was wondering how this book would tie to the first one and I thought it was done brilliantly. It was unexpected and took me by surprise. I usually am not a fan of a cliffhanger in a book, but I felt it worked well with this one. It has definitely left me wanting more and I am excited for book three to come out.
I would definitely recommend this book and give it 4 ½ stars.
Hunted Love is the addicting new series by Aden Lowe! What a series it is!! Bounty was incredibly sexy and page turning. Bounty hunter after criminal meets sexy headstrong woman! HOT!!
Fallon Harris, divorced, bitter and after criminals for a living. Taking his next case, leads him to a small town where he meets the local bar owner Rita. Rita is more then what her looks would make you think. Nobody messes with Rita or her staff. She doesn't back down and people respect her for that. Witnessing her grit, Fallon can't help but respecting her even more.
Both Fallon and Rita know that if they hook up, it won't be for long. Fallon tells her that he will be moving on after his case is done. Knowing this, they both pursue their physical attraction to one another. The connection the two of them feel towards each other is unexplainable to both of them.
Fallon gets a lead on where is skip Kellen is headed. He is going after one of Fallon's army buddies, Jakob Barger. For those who have not read Big Game, the first book in the series...Jakob is the other heartthrob that Aden gives us. Rita tells Fallon she can't lose him just yet and tells him she is going with him to warn Jakob and help catch Kellen.
I love how these two stories are coming together. It was like an OMG when I saw Jakob's name in this story. Can not wait for the next novel to come out by Aden. Fantastic story!!
Oh Aden Lowe...this book was well played my friend. I really loved how this book started out with Falon and his inner demons and his inner struggle with following the rules. He was a hunter...the need to have purpose and keep his mind distracted from his own personal hell was what made me fall a little bit for Falon right as the story started to lay itself out. Fallon flooded his "Target" all the way to Stags Leap, Kentucky. It was a small town where everybody knew everybody and there weren't really any visitor that came through except for the local biker gang. Rita is the owner of the only grill in town that also doubles as a tavern in the evenings as the night life comes to life. Rita is a no BS type of lady that has seen her own parts of hell in her lifetime and just wants to survive and help other women except a similar hell of their own. She has a tiny bouncer that you would never see coming at you and a loyal staff that all work together as one well-oiled machine. Just as this story was starting to take off, it cuts off so that you can catch up in The Hunted Series,Book 3...Captured. Aden Lowe...that was a dirty, sneaky trick you pulled not giving us more than what you did. You left me really NEEDING to read Captured, and IF I have to wait to long....i might take Joe and the rest of the livestock for ransom. O.o
I was excited to read more of the Hunted Love series and the book definitely didn’t disappoint! I loved the story line and set-up of Bounty.
Falon Harris is a bounty hunter searching for a nasty bad-guy biker, known as Kellan. His search brings him to a small town where he meets tavern owner Rita. As with the first book, there is instant chemistry between the two but this story is a bit more complicated. Falon has to figure out how he’s going to get Kellan, especially since he’s the national president of a pretty scary MC.
As Rita and Falon try to figure out what is happening between them, Falon finds himself opening up to her and finally revealing the true nature as to why he is in her little town. Just as they are getting comfortable together they discover that there is some serious shit brewing and Kellan is assigned a new job, taking out our good friend Jakob, who happens to be Falon’s friend too!
I couldn’t put this one down once I started and seriously cannot wait for the next book. I absolutely have to know what happens with this group! And I definitely can’t wait to see Falon and Jakob together!
The Hunted Love books are a fun and intriguing series and I can’t wait for more.
I was provided a complimentary copy to review for The Geekery Book Review.
This is one very well earned 5 star review. I was offered the chance to review Bounty for an honest review. Not only did I enjoy this book but I have to say Aden is one of my favorite authors. He has an amazing story telling talent.
Falon takes you on a ride for your life! Not only is this man hot but he is very good at what he does. He comes to met Rita when he walks in to the tavern she owns. He quickly learns he is not the only one that is struck by the beauty of Rita but his mark Tom Kellen is also interested in her.
Rita you just fall in love with her she is a very strong, holds nothing back type person. What you see is what you get with her. She is one that will put you in your place before you ever new you over step things. Tom is one that you’re going to love to hate. He is one very nasty man that is out for his self. Falon is the hot biker that walks in and sweeps you off your feet.
I could not put this book down it’s a huge page turner. I could not get enough of this story. You are going to be wondering what is going to happened next. The suspense in this book is amazing.
Let me start my review by saying that I hate cliffhangers but this one was really well done that my only clue was the %read at the bottom of my kindle. One important thing for me is that set the story for the next book and not just ends in the middle of a scene, that's important to me. So, we have Falon, a really badass, nice, hot guy that has a job, hunt down Kellan and turn him in. Then, we have Rita, Rattlesnake owner and a badass of a sort too. Their chemistry is developed through all the book and what started as a hook up for both might have the posssibility to evolve to something else. I like how well the story is told, with both POV and without confusion. Both characters are well developed and their personality remains the same through all the book, it doesn't change accordng to the necesity of thr author. I really like that. Other thing that kept me interested is the way Falon is, he's such a nice guy that I want one like him. He's not the tipical alpha hero with annoying characteristics, he could make girls swoon and not just by his looks. Now the plot is set for the final book and I can't wait to see how it goes. So far this series is being great.
After reading Big Game: Hunted Love #1, the first book in this series from Aden Lowe, I was excited to read, Bounty: Hunted Love #2. Lowe delivers again with the second book in his series. He has given us two new characters, Falon and Rita, to fall in love with. Falon is a man who uses his job as a bounty hunter to escape his past. Rita, a strong woman who has dealt with a lot and survived. When their paths cross dealing with the same person, you have a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Aden Lowe proves yet again that he is an author you should know. Bounty: Hunted Love #2 showcases what he has to offer. Again, he delivers two more great characters in Rita and Falon. The atrraction between them is hot. I loved Kate and Jakob, from the first book in this series, but Rita and Falon give them a run for their money. Aden writes them so well you can't help but want more. Bounty is a sexy romance that you have to read. You will not be disappointed. Aden Lowe has raised the bar in his series. I've said before and I'll say it again, I can't wait to get my hands on the next book and see where he takes us next.
Sweet, romantic and engaging read! Can be read as a stand alone.
I was provided with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Falon is at a crossroads in his life. After leaving the military, he found out that his wife had been unfaithful to him. After the divorce, he tried to move on. He became an undercover investigator, and developed a lifestyle of a drifter. He never sought a serious relationship, and was able to move easily from job to job, and no ties to anywhere. That is until he meets Rita.
Rita is not a damsel in distress. Rita is the owner of Rita’s Rattlesnake- family restaurant by day and honky tonk at night. She does not need a man to save her from unruly patrons, or the biker who will not take no for an answer, but there is something about Falon, that draws her to him, even though she is not looking for anything serious.
I liked this story. It was a sweet romance about people not looking for love, but finding it easily. An enjoyable short read.
Bounty is Rita and Falon's story. Falon is a bounty hunter and is sent to track Kellan aka President of the Hell Riders and is wanted for arrest in many states. Rita is the proud owner of the Rattlesnake a local diner/bar. Falon falls hard for Rita the minute he sees her and Rita is hot for Falon from the moment he said hello. While Falon is trying to figure out Kellan and get his job done he gets distracted by the beautiful Rita. Falon and Rita get down and dirty. They both start too realize their feelings for eachother have deeper meanings. Falon gets a break in his case but it's a dangerous one, a friend, squad leader Jakob Barger and his girl Kate have a bounty on theirs heads. Falon has to reach Jakob before Kellan gets there to finish the job. Can Falon and Rita make to Jakob and Kate in time ? Bounty sort of ends on a cliffhanger. This book could be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading Big Game first. I enjoyed Bounty. I felt the story flowed and kept me interested. Happy Reading!!
After his tour in the military Falon has become a bounty hunter. He usually gets the dead beat fathers, but this time he gets a wanted biker, Kellon. The quiet little town he follows him to, is just that quiet. So when Falon stops to eat he meets Rita, the local resturant/bar owner. Needing a place to stay, Rita offers the only place available a little camper behind the bar. Sparks fly between the two, so when they notice lights out in the woods, Falon needs to protect Rita even more. Kellon and his biker friends are making illegal drugs. Knowing his odds are getting slimmer, Falon has to figure out how to capture Kellon. But when a biker meeting is held in the resturant and Falon hears what the orders are, he has to react. Kellen has been ordered to take out Jakob so Kate will go back to Alexander. Its personal now, Jakob was Falon's squad leader and good friend in the military.
WOW! Aden Lowe took it up a notch in the second book of the Hunted Love Series!
Honesty I was not expecting such a GREAT READ! Bounty Hunter Falon Harris, together with Bar/Dinner owner Rita James had just the right amount of everything to hook you! It had sizzling hot chemistry, drama and suspense.
Falon on his next case leads him to the little town of Stags Leap, KY to hunt for outlaw Tom Kellen. Needing a place to stay, Rita offers Fallon her camper for the week. While sparks are flying between them Falon finds himself having to protect Rita from the one man he is trying to capture.
The story and characters flowed across the page wrapping up in the end with the connection between Jakob and Falon. I cannot wait to see what Captured( Hunted Love #3) will bring when these’s two sexy hot men get together.
Where to start with this book? Well, Falon, is a heck of a lead man. He is a bounty hunter on the look out for a pretty nasty man, Tom Kellen. When he lands in Rita's Rattlesnake, the owner Rita is a little spit fire and a distraction as well. Rita is used to taking care of any problems that walk into her bar, but Falon is something she never expected. When Kellen, the man with the bounty comes and causes some problems for Rita, she and her employees get it stopped, and that impresses Falon. What he doesn't need is the worry about wanting to sleep with Rita clouding his job. The book is packed full of action, and steaming hot in places. I cannot wait to read Captured, book 3 in this series!
This is the second book in Aden Lowe’s Hunted Love Series. Aden was a new author to me and I loved Big Game: Hunted Love #1. He surprised me again with Bounty. Where Big Game had a “western” feel, Bounty attracted me for the “motorcycle” element.
I felt an instant connection to Fallon and I simply adored Rita. Aden didn’t stop with these two characters, however. He introduced us to characters that I hope to hear more from – Georgie, a petite female who serves as Rita’s bouncer and Kellen, the outlaw biker Fallon’s is after.
I knew this was Book #2 in his series, and I love the way it can be read as a standalone. But when he tied the two books together - it left me enthralled.
Well written and edited story ending in a big cliffhanger. 3.5 stars rounded up.
There are a number of interesting characters in this very short installment of Hunted Love. The bounty hunter is a smart guy with skills, the café owner is tough, independent and self-reliant and her bouncer is tiny but lethal. Those are just the good guys, and the bad guys are just as interesting -- and ominous.
This is classic romantic suspense. It was surprising how much got accomplished in these few pages. I'm looking forward to reading the next part of this story.
I downloaded Bounty as a free book from Amazon. This is an incomplete, serialized book rather than a short story. While I enjoyed the characters I hate incomplete books/storylines and there were quite a few holes in the plot (as well as a few things too convenient to believe). I was distracted by unanswered questions when characters reacted the way they did. If priced reasonably when all installments are complete this is probably a decent read as a box set. As is, I was unsatisfied to find this is part of an an installment.
WOW! I loved this book!! Not only was it well-written, but I fell in love with the characters, the town, the bar and most importantly - I was sucked in and couldn't put it down...
Can't wait for the conclusion in #3 - hurry it up would you Aden Lowe??? (and by hurry, I mean write it slowly and make it worth the wait. I want all the alpha-hotness of the first two books, mixed together with some fabulous action, love and sexiness!!!)
