Good Start for a series

As an avid fantasy reader, I always appreciate diving into new worlds—and Bonds of Fate was such a special read, especially knowing this is the author’s very first published book. That alone is an incredible accomplishment, and one worth celebrating! 🎉📚

This story has a strong and imaginative foundation, with a concept that truly draws you in. You can feel the passion behind the writing and the effort put into building something meaningful and unique.

That said, from a reader’s perspective, there were a few areas where the story could grow even stronger. At times, I found myself wanting deeper character development to feel more connected to the journey. A smoother flow between certain characters and chapters would also help the story feel more cohesive. There were moments where I felt a bit confused about what was happening, and additional descriptive details could really help bring clarity and richness to those scenes.

Even with these small critiques, I truly enjoyed the experience and see so much potential in this author’s future work. This is a fantastic debut, and I’m excited to see how their writing continues to evolve. 🌟

If you enjoy fantasy and want to support a new author at the beginning of their journey, this book is definitely worth picking up!

This one drove me absolutely crazy for the first half - seriously, 50+%. Almost DNF. The FMC, Liara, is being protected from something (or someone) we don't know who/what since everyone that seems to know what is going on keeps saying "she's not ready". Every single conversation was almost worthless. Liara keeps asking them to tell her and they keep ignoring her. By the time they do tell her it's bound to be too late to prepare. heck - I'm ready to yell at them about it.

The storyline became difficult to follow. There is a lot of "leaving the cabin for air" (she needs a LOT of "air") and then it's suddenly the next morning. One instance states she took the car into the "tourist town" (some where she grew up) and later she mentions that she shouldn't have followed Tori - and she walks home??? Oh, this was after the guys did a whole handoff process to "protect" her - TSTL. There is little representation of time passing appropriately. There is another section early in the book that really seemed out of place and was quite confusing. Another that had her taking Dante's hand then she is suddenly walking through the forest into Caed's house. In my mind, it really needs a good editor.
Liara also eavesdrops ALOT - I couldn't decide if it made sense since no one explained anything or just made her seem even more immature since she would spiral on only a part of the conversation.

The second half - starting around 50% becomes an angsty "forbidden romance". If you're looking for that type of book surrounded by tons of secrets - go for it. Just not for me.

I absolutely loved this book! It pulled me in from the very first page and kept me hooked the entire time. I really enjoyed how the story slowly revealed its secrets. I didn’t fully understand what was happening until about halfway through, which made it even more exciting.

The connection between Dante and Liara was beautiful. The ending left me so ready for book two; I can’t wait to see where the story goes next!

A spellbinding fantasy filled with mystery, prophecy, and heart! Bonds of Fate delivers rich world-building, powerful Fae lore, and a gripping journey of identity and destiny. Liara’s awakening and the rising tension kept me hooked until the final page. Magical, emotional, and unforgettable

So I did what I always do. I ran.

I absolutely loved everything about this book, it kept me hooked from the very beginning. And that cliffhanger ending, can't wait for the next book in the series. I highly recommend reading it!
