Pumpkin Spice Promises

Rate this book
Emmy Spice has everything she needs—her late grandmother’s bakery, a calendar full of pumpkin bread orders, and Maplewood’s Harvest Festival just around the corner. Everything but the courage to tell her best friend she’s been in love with him since forever.

When firefighter Adam Fall returns home, Emmy’s world tilts. Their easy friendship feels different now—charged, unsteady, dangerous to her heart. But risking the truth means risking the one person she’s never wanted to lose.

As autumn nights glow with bonfires and cider, Adam and Emmy must decide if friendship is enough…or if love has been waiting for them all along.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Pumpkin Spice Promises by Lauren Quinn
This book was as sweet as a freshly baked pumpkin loaf from Emmy Spice’s bakery! The story follows Emmy and her childhood best friend (and now swoon-worthy firefighter) Adam Fall as they navigate friendship, love, and all the cozy autumn feels in the small town of Maplewood. Between the Harvest Festival, the pumpkin bread, and the bonfire nights, it’s definitely giving maximum fall charm.
That said, it leaned a little too Hallmark-movie for me at times — super predictable, a bit over-sweet, and you could see every plot point coming from a mile away. Still, Emmy and Adam’s friendship-to-lovers journey was adorable, and I couldn’t help but root for them (even when I was rolling my eyes a little).
If you love a small-town romance packed with cozy vibes, bakery treats, and heartwarming moments, this one’s a cute, short, easy read — perfect for a chilly fall evening with a pumpkin spice latte in hand. ☕🍂

Short story about taking a second chance. After best friends are reunited having been apart ten years, anything could happen. However Adam comes back and seeks out Emmy. He's determined to let her know that he was wrong for leaving.
Sweet love is told in actions as well as words as the couple work together. Small town joy, rekindled love, and community support make this a delightful read.

Adorable. Small cozy town that everyone loved. Her best friend left after high school graduation. He thought small town living wasn’t what he wanted. But he left his best friend behind. She had a bakery that was doing great. They connected there after 10 years of being apart
