Villains in Space #3

Interstellar Love Song

Rate this book
Micah

If there’s one thing I can confirm, it’s that shacking up with a bodysnatching space mercenary has made life infinitely more exciting.

But now it’s time to get space married!

And… space mpregged?

Unfortunately for my end game plans, a looming threat is hanging over the universe, and I do mean looming over the entire universe—threatening us all.

It looks like Ziggy and I need to save the day again!

The issue is that this Big Bad always seems to be one step ahead, playing 6D chess while we scramble to set up the checkerboard, but as the professional problem-solver in my family, I’ve got this.

Because I’m a space wizard, baby, and I plan to marry—and mpreg—my man if it’s the last thing I do.

Ziggy

If there’s one thing I never expected to experience in my infinitely long life, it’s the love my incredibly impressive Earthling has shown me.

Love and family.

And the promise of our own family…

Unfortunately, I’ve been plagued with dreams I can’t seem to shake—terrifying nightmares of Stellaria falling to an unimaginably powerful force.

Of losing everyone I care about.

As Micah and I chase a deadly ghost across time and space, we discover everything is connected—more so than we thought. A single piece being eliminated from the board could affect countless planets in catastrophic ways.

It looks like my superpowered mate is the only one who can face off with this monster, but I refuse to sacrifice the man I love.

Not even to save the universe.

----

Interstellar Love Song is the FINAL book in the Villains in Space trilogy, and is an extra spicy, idiots-in-love tale, set in space with only one sleeping pod and an entire skinsuit closet full of alien accessories. Things continue to be weird(ly) hot, but if you’re here for it, dock yourself to my spice-station and hang on for the ride!

You will want to read Earth Boys Are Easy (VIS, book 1) first, which occurs after Enter the Multi-Vers (Villainous Things, Book 4) - while Space Daddy’s Guide to the Galaxy (VIS, book 2) occurs after Rabble: End Game (VT, 5) and Villainous All the Way (VT 6/Bonus tales). While you do not need to read Villainous Things before Villains in Space, you will get more backstory if you do.

However, you can safely start your adventure with Earth Boys and Space Daddy before orbiting back to the series that started it all.

A thrilling Sci-fi MM romance which is the series finale! It has our Superhero x Alien (both are heroic ngl) established couple, suspense & space adventure(s), HIGH stakes, LOREEE, so many feels & found family.
AND Space daddies become Space husbands, yayyyy 🥳.
I had been so freaking excited for this! So of course, I started it asap after getting #ARC! Devoured it in 13hrs over 2days. I hadn't wanted this to stop lol, hooked af. Loved Ziggy, Micah & fam (cuz cameos duh).

What a start, like damn we in the thick of it 😂. I loved how Sunshiney Micah has taught Bad-b¡tch Ziggy to be more communicative, so cute 🤗. Z's worry made me ache 😭. Their love, comforting & hyping eachother up was amazing. The tables have turned... IYKYK. It's M's time to shine 🙈.

The breeding kink was high & hot, I loved to see M protective & Z more babygirl 😆. We got 'em switching whole book 😍. Tho I'd've liked flip-f'ing but tendrils are quite good too 🥵. (TBH, I've noticed that Z topped in last 2 books, so M did so in bonus. So, here M topped & Z did in its bonus. I see a pattern!) I'm so happy we got the long-awaited space proposal, wedding & there's even M-preg 🤭.

The stakes are HIGH & we get so much LORE about Stellarian history! Also, happy to get solution for their different life spans 🙌. I feel like I should've re-read first 2 books, but am too impatient & like having my brain worked 😆. Most angst is external & it's more investigative in nature than bang, pew-pew!

The polycule has bigger role here, but I liked that M+Z were still central! I love that we got to see their family grow 🥰. Tho damn, that was so stressful for Z 😩. Interesting & fun climax! It can be a AU story lol—I really want it. Cute epilogue ❤️. I was craving another Zig POV at end 🥺, I hope we may get more bonuses of our 2 lovelies in future.

Story Ratings:

POV: 1st person, Dual POV
1) Enjoyed? —> So exciting 🥰 5/5
2) The Characters: 5💞/5
3) Top feels: 😳😆🥺🤭🤨😅😍🥵😯😩🥰😏😂😭🤔✨🙌🤗
4) Steamy scenes: 3.5/5
5) Levels: Cute+Swoon: 4.5/5
Angst: 2.5/5 (external)
Dark: 2/5
6) Creativity + world: 5/5
7) Plot arc: (Growing Fam & Saving Universe, Sci-fi) 4.75/5
8) Writing style + pace: 4.6/5

ARC REVIEW ✨

I cannot believe this was our last mission 😭 Zig & Micah are absolutely schmoop perfection. Ziggy’s growth from when we first met him to now is just GAHHHH. HES LEARNED TO COMMUNICATE BETTER. He’s not as flighty either which, so Dr. Micah really did put in work 💅🏼 Such a perfect space daddy 🥹

Babygirl truly leveled up in this one and GAH. Micah’s possessiveness is also 😮‍💨 Zig & I both love when Micah goes all “Commander Babygirl.” 🙂‍↕️

I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. Just know this was the perfect ending to the series. I’ll definitely reread 😌

Thank you so much C. Rochelle for a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review 🫶🏼

Perfect ending to this series! Obsessed with Ziggy & Micah and their love for each other and I’m so sad that the space adventures are over 🥲

Def read books 1 & 2 first as these are NOT standalones. I’d also recommend reading the Villainous Things series as well as there is some crossover between the characters mentioned throughout this trilogy!

Definitely read these in order!

Honestly this was a really fun time, but Ziggy really goes through it. Theres some major space shenannigans in this that makes Ziggy and Micah have to work to to save the universe. There are some minor crossovers with the Villainous Things Series (Specifically Theo, Gabe, and Dre's book, Enter the Multi-Vers. I suggest reading Villainous Things *before* reading this series based on the character/plot crossovers. Ziggy and Micah spend some time goofing off, romancing, or going on mad adventures, its' a fun time. Good soup.

Slight spoiler thought:

Y'all know how much I love c. Rochelle. I'm a little sloot for the Villainous Things series, but Villains in Space is TOP TIER. Because we get 3 books with Ziggy and Micah, we get just a little bit more insight into their emotions, thoughts, history, and trauma. Ziggy is a little sparkly ball of anxiety and trauma, and Micah is all science brain and word vomit.

when I finished the ARC, I immediately messaged C because I was freaking sobbing. I am so sad this trilogy has come to end. I have loved every moment. From Micah kidnapping himself, to Ziggy adopting a weird space cat, and finally the space wedding of the millennia. I have truly fallen in love with these horny little glow worms, and this book has given us all the love and lore our hungry little brains could want.

one thing I really appreciated was the lack of a true villain. The conflict came from from a sense of planetary destruction, and these two ding dongs had to save the galaxy while planning their wedding. Both Ziggy and Micah learned more about their bond, their powers, and themselves (thank you Dr. Micah for the pro-bono therapy). I absolutely adoring seeing just how much Ziggy has grown emotionally. While we didn't get a TON of kinky skin suit fun, there was still plenty of spice to get your motor running. Look, we all know that these horny little space sloots are not going to slack when it comes to the heartfelt schmoop as well as the kinky fuckery. You'll kick your feet in glee, swoon with the warm fuzzies, and need to change your panties.

Flail vague-zero-spoiler-no-details review for your book rec reading pleasure:

Not only did Micah grow into the confident bad bitch that we already saw him developing into in Space Daddy, but Ziggy - omg he SMILES now. WITH teeth. He lets people in. He’s open to FAMILY. Theo too. Don’t get me wrong, they are still ready to kill you if you cross, but the feels I got reading them so happy and settled in their family unit makes me all warm and fuzzy.

The panic Ziggy felt any time he thought about losing or being without Micah kept from the pages directly into my chest. Ouch. No thanks. They will live forever for all eternity together codependently with part of Ziggy’s core inside Micah, alive and well, period, a(wo)man 🙏🏽

These two are the couple you want to read about to give legit faith in life. The “no matter what” and “against the odds” couple. The couple where one didn’t ever see a loving partner in their future and the other never felt like he had a place to belong before. The character arcs are both sensational and the growth isn’t subtle, and it’s a direct result of the love and support they get from one another.

The trilogy is 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽

Side note: “shh it was just a nightmare” is my favorite micro trope. Just sayin.

Micah and Zig have my whole heart!! I love these two and have had so much fun reading about all their space adventures together. I'm actually super bummed that this is the end of the trilogy because I want to know all about how Ziggy and Micah are fairing after this epic ending!

Believe it or not, some of the best emotional moments in this book included Theo. I know, I was surprised too. That doesn't mean he wasn't also being his usual delightful self. If I were him, I wouldn't be making any trips to the Salah residence until after poor Balty gives birth. I don't think anyone could guarantee Theo's safety after his last visit.

I enjoyed seeing the growth of Ziggy throughout this trilogy. He really had his world turned upside down when this first began, but by the end of this book I feel like Ziggy is pretty settled. I mean, Ziggy and Micah are always going to be getting themselves into trouble, but there is no doubt about it that they will be by each others side for it all. I'm so happy these two got such a wonderful HEA and I couldn't have asked for anything better.

i’m so sad ziggy and micah’s space adventures are over but this was such a perfect ending to this trilogy! i’m so in love with micah and ziggy and their story and the love that they have for each other!

as you probably already know i am a huge c. rochelle fan so OF COURSE i think everyone needs to read these. i do recommend reading the villainous things series first though, it really adds to the experience of this trilogy because you have characters that crossover into this trilogy and knowing who they are makes it 10x more fun!! (plus i just love that series with my ENTIRE heart)

Oooh this book had me so stressed, but I’d reread it all over again in a heartbeat.
Following Ziggy and Micah through their space adventures for three books now has genuinely been the most fun I’ve ever had with a series. And now we’ve finally—finally—been blessed with the one thing we’ve all been waiting for... A SPACE WEDDING.
Let me tell you, I was sobbing tears of joy while reading this. Every single character feels like family to me, and knowing this trilogy ended on such a happy note made me so emotional, because trust me there were challenges. Rochelle’s writing is always incredible, and the way she immerses me in whatever location the characters end up in is nothing short of magical. The way Ziggy and Micah were so absolutely in love just filled my heart. Their connection was so unbreakable, and seeing them get to be all schmoopy with each other again was everything.

‼️🚨COMPLETED TRILOGY ALERT🚨‼️

The Villains in Space series is now complete! You can binge all 3 books and fall in love with Micah and Ziggy at lightning speed (or ludicrous speed as Micah likes to call it)

I love this series and these characters so much 🥹 getting to spend 3 full books with Ziggy and Micah during their space adventures was amazing. I had so much fun. I laughed, I cried, I swooned and I sweated bc these are HOT.

This was the perfect wrap up to their trilogy and I’m so glad I was along for the ride. Seeing Ziggy and Micah’s character growth not only as individuals but as a couple was perfection. I have so much love for these two and the ever growing found family they assembled.

I cannot wait to see where C goes with the heroes and villains next 👀 If you haven’t already: HIGHLY recommend starting with Not All Himbos Wear Capes or jump straight into Earth Boys are Easy 💚

Thank you, C for the ARC and happy release day!!!

.
Micah and Ziggy have the best growth (character and relationship development) I’ve ever read and I am HERE for it! A perfect ending and no I won’t spoil it! But know that time and thought was put into this story and it will wrap tentacles right around your heart and squeeze!

One final mission, a marriage, and a baby! I love getting to go on this space adventure with Zig and Micah. Being along side Micah as he continued to find out about himself and his powers was so much fun. As always C knows how to make me laugh at the same time she pulls on my heart strings. I’m sad to see these two go but I am excited to see what comes next from her

Can’t believe Ziggy and Micah’s story is done! I am going to miss their space adventures and the skin suit times.

The last book was full of danger, hilarious banter, spicy times, and appearances from our favorite earthlings! It also had some very healing moments for both Ziggy and Micah.

Twists and turns with a big bad, a wedding, a pregnancy… this final book will keep you on your toes, smiling, and swooning.

I also loved getting to see Micah grow into his baddie self!

This is 100% going to be unhinged review because there's so many thoughts that came to mind while reading and like all of these characters I decided to keep the chaotic thoughts and not edit it 😂

Possible SPOILERS AHEAD⚠️

Ziggy messing up proposal after proposal was the funniest and most endearing plot line I think I've ever read 😂 poor space daddy. Of course finally getting it right with a "light saber " was perfectly on brand.

"𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑹𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝑺𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆: 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆."

*Gasp* is C going to make me care about Theo. That little moment when he admits he wasnt a present creator. NEEDED.

“𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏, 𝒎𝒚 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏,” 𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒅. “𝑻𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈.”

The lore and different scientific explanations of the different species of aliens had me geeking out. Also the origin of the universe and the species related to the Stellarians? Wooof i was not ready for all the lore. C is a genius. 💅 I can't wait for the audio to come out to see how badly I messed up the pronunciations 😆

“𝑫𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒂 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝒆𝒙𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒔?!”

As usual all of the star wars references had me laughing and feeling completely at home.

"𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒂 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓 𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒑. 𝑸𝒖𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝑨𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒍𝒂 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒅."

The breeding kink in this book had me sweating. 🥵 I have no other words. The quotes speak for themselves.

“𝑰… 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒊𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒊𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚—𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒖𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏.”
.

Knocked up Ziggy is my favorite. I relate in all aspects- pregnancy and I did not get along and I feel his pain. Heavy on the anxieties of it "not happening for them"  #secondaryinfertility
Balty and Zig bonding over their pregnancies was the most endearing scene.

The last 20% of this book had me sweating. But Micah was truly the baddest bitch around.

Wow, what a conclusion to this incredible spin-off!
This will be a hard review to write because there’s so much I want to say but can’t because of spoilers, lol. I think if you’ve read this far into this particular C. Rochelle universe, then you know all the major players and will be really happy with who makes an appearance in this one (I know I was thrilled). I also think that, like myself, you will NOT see the twists in this one coming — all of which made me super satisfied with the ending (even if I could read these stories and these characters endlessly).

Micah and Ziggy have come a long way since their first introduction in the main series — Ziggy, arguably, most of all. Which is a big part of why I love Micah and Ziggy so much. We’ve really been able to follow their growth far beyond what we were able to any of the other main couples, and as well adjusted as Micah is, I feel like the two of them have a lot they’ve had to unpack and conquer together. In this final installment we get to bask in strides they’ve made together in their communication and individual issues, like Micah’s confidence in himself and Ziggy’s vulnerability/expressing his emotions. While I, of course, LOVE all the external drama and action, I live for the emotional/personal drama and I feel like C. Rochelle really delivers in this trilogy.

If you’re new to the genres and tropes that C. typically writes, I would heavily recommend giving the author/content notes at the beginning even just a skim. Yes, even if you think CW/TW are for “snowflakes” or whatever other rude thing. You should definitely read them, actually. Knowing the flack that she’s gotten in the not so distant past, I have a feeling some people are going to be unhappy with some of the choices she made and I think reading the content warnings could prevent people from getting Big Mad in her comments/DMs. I personally loved the choices, I think they fit the characters really well, but I just know people are going to have “opinions” about anatomy choices especially. 🤷🏼‍♀️ That’s all I’m saying about that.

The overall story was excellent though if you don’t have any weird hang ups to get over. The pacing was perfect, I really didn’t want to stop at any point in reading because I was so invested. The spice was spicin’ as it always is in C’s work; I think that the honeymoon was my favorite spice scene for this couple across all of the books, tbh. Not only for the spice itself, but for the emotional components. My favorite Micah quote comes from that chapter! ♥️

I’m sad that the story is over but I’m really happy with the way C. tied things up! I can’t wait to see where she takes us next!

Love, Love, Love!

This is the 3rd and final book of the Villains in Space trilogy. You have to read the previous books (1-Earth Boys are Easy and 2-Space Daddy's Guide to the Galaxy), which you can do via Kindle/KU. AND/OR, if audio is your thing, you can listen on Audible. Book 2 (Space Daddy's Guide to the Galaxy) just released earlier this week! Gabrielle Michael and Nick J Russo do an amazing job bringing Micah and Ziggy to life 🥰🥵🫠!

Interstellar Love Song wraps everything up beautifully. It is suspenseful, hilarious, heartwarming, and HOT.

The plot is exceptional and held my attention throughout the whole book. It's sci-fi lite, amongst other things, and that fits perfectly. I've never been a huge sci-fi fan. Like, Ive enjoyed watching the movies and shows I've seen, but I haven't dove into any fandoms or anything. All that to say, you dont need to be a huge sci-fi person to enjoy this!

My favorite things about this book/series:

🚀Humor-There is so much witty humor, as well as humorous situations. Ziggy's reactions had me literally LOL.
🚀Ziggy's growth 😭🥰- We get to see him evolve from an emotionally constipated, brainwashed space soldier to a beautiful Space Daddy.
🚀Ziggy's skinsuits- Both learning about the different beings in the galaxy AND getting to see how much Micah enjoys the varying anatomy 🥵🫠.
🚀MICAH- The most impressive creature in all the galaxies. He is hilarious, fiesty, and has a take charge attitude when it comes to problems. Although in the bedroom, he mostly prefers to let Space Daddy take over 🥵.. except for Commander Babygirl time 🫠🥵!
🚀Family-The growth, repair, and family bonding throughout the series is BEAUTIFUL 💗.
🚀Seeing corrupt, divisive, destructive powers that be get what's coming to them💪
🚀Spice and schmoop balace- Perfect. The spice..don't let the beautifully sweet illustrated cover fool you. Micah and Zig are DIRTY, and I'm here for it. They (and I 🤣) enjoy their rough and dirty fun times, but the sweetness and love for each other is just as dopamine triggering 💗.

Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

*sidenote- C. Rochelle and Lemonade Doodles (the artist) have A LOT of beautiful art for this series (SFW and NSFW). You should check out!

I received an ARC, but I voluntarily wrote this review. The opinions are my own and 100% honest.

A glorious final installment

Climb aboard the famed Lodger 79 for our final mission: Get Micah a proper proposal (or several), heal more past wounds and put a baby in it... oh, and save the universe!

C. Rochelle did it again — gave us a finale worthy of our favorite space couple: Micah, space wizard extraordinaire (there's a certificate to prove it), and Ziggy, the most reluctant hero of all time (with a blush over murder freckles to prove it). They embark on a quest to find out more about themselves and to truly begin their life together when they are (of course) thrown into a battle of wills to save the MULTIPASS... I mean, MULTIVERSE.

I don't often give five-star reviews because, in all honesty, not many books deserve them (IMO). For me, everything needs to hit. I'm talking plot, character drive and development (and entertainment factor), writing style and everything in between — even down to the vibes. Rochelle did it. She nailed everything with Villains in Space and its predecessor Villainous Things. (If you haven't read that series yet, do it!)

What I love most about this is Rochelle's writing style. She expertly blends camp and spoof with throwbacks to the classics that came before her (I see you Fifth Element and Spaceballs) while never tipping into cringey cliché. She breaks the fourth wall with grace and ridiculousness but never at the expense of the story’s momentum. There's hilarity AND depth on every page — with banter to rival the greats (looking at you TJ Klune).

Overall, this is science fiction with brains as well as heart. The science is as sharp as the romance is swoony, and the spice? Let’s just say it never gets old (talking about you, Smex Pollen). If you’re a sci-fi nerd craving adventure with heat or a camp lover in search of your next obsession, if you just want to try something new — this series has you covered.

Closing the book on our final mission left me more than a little sad, but I take comfort in knowing Rochelle isn’t done with this world yet. And when she takes us back into the stars, I’ll be the first in line for launch.

Ziggy and Micah's intergalactic adventure took us all across the universe in an epic final boss quest. I was thrilled to dive back into another story featuring my favorite space heroes (sorry Ziggy, you're totally a hero), and boy did they deliver an entertaining, sweet, and sexy romp. From next-level power ups to shocking lore reveals and Micah's space wedding pinterest board coming to life in full technicolor, this book had all the elements I've come to love about the rest of the series. Were some of the spacey, sciencey bits a little over my head? Yes, yes they were, but that did not diminish my enjoyment of seeing Micah and Ziggy put the puzzle pieces together, power themselves up, and invent new ways to keep their loved ones safe. After experiencing their badassery in full force throughout their earlier adventures, it did leave me a little shaken to see how fearful they were of the planet eating threat headed their way. I was ready approach this with the overconfidence of a Stellarian with a superiority complex, but that was not at all the vibe I got from these characters. The danger was real, the stakes were high, and the tension served to propel the story forward towards its climax. For the rest of my Ziggy and Micah lovers, don't worry -- the two of them found plenty of time in this book for Space Daddy and Commander Babygirl to come out to play, and there were a couple of particularly spicy nights with new skinsuits to enjoy. The love was very much alive and thriving in this book, even as external forces pressured them from all sides. It was Ziggy and Micah's love than anchored and elevated this story, and it's why I never lost faith that they'd fight and claw their way to the happily ever after they'd been dreaming about. I can't say I saw that ending coming -- and when I say the universe has been fundamentally altered it's not an exaggeration -- but what a satisfying way to send these two out with a bang!

**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

✨🚀 Book besties… it’s official. Villains in Space 1–3 is COMPLETE and I am absolutely not okay 😭💜💙

Imagine if Star Trek, Indiana Jones, and Alien vs. Predator had a chaotic, spicy love child and then that child went off with two intergalactic himbos who stole your heart, your tears, and probably your sanity. That’s this trilogy. And now… it’s OVER. My heart is broken, but also ridiculously full.

For the last few years, this series has been my ultimate adventure with danger, discovery, heartbreak, laugh-out-loud moments, and yes, scandalous skinsuits. We’ve had highs (alien discoveries! hot kisses! character growth!) and devastating lows (is he gonna make it?? do we need tissues??) but nothing compares to the way this trilogy captures love. Interstellar Love Song? Ziggy and Micah Andromeda?? NO ONE DOES GALACTIC LOVE LIKE C!!!

I have cried, laughed, screamed into a pillow, and re-read lines with my jaw on the floor more times than I can count. And listen, you don’t just get one hero—you get TWO incredible heroes for THREE whole books. The emotional attachment is real, borderline codependency at this point, and I regret NOTHING✨

Some of my fave parts:
✨ The epic queer joy exploding through every star system.
✨ Spicy skinsuit tendril touchy time (don’t ask, just READ).
✨ Primal play + size difference that had me FERAL.
✨ The humor, the banter, the “did they really just say that??” moments.

And this quote will live rent-free in my brain forever:
“The honorable Stellarian who chose uncomfortable truth over lies of supposed supremacy.” (Yes, I cried. Yes, it was embarrassing. No, I don’t care.) (yes this is from book 2 it’s relevant to the TRILOGY)

So if you love:
🚀 Queer joy in space
🔥 Primal play & size difference
💫 Slight brat x brat tamer dynamics
👽 And emotional gut punches hidden inside intergalactic chaos…

C, you really gave us the Big One with this series. Thank you for letting me fall head-over-heels for two adorable idiots in love while they saved galaxies.

This Space Sloot is signing off one last time— love u baiii 💓

C. Rochelle’s writes her books with an amazing balance of sweetness/love/humor/more humor/storyline/spice and always some type of found family. This book is the third and final book of the Villains in Space trilogy. This is not a standalone and I would suggest not only reading the first two books in this series, but the first series, Villainous Things. Not only are there side characters and family connections that appear in all the books, but the series Villainous Things IS AMAZING!! The Audiobooks for all of the books are so darn good!!!!!!

We met Ziggy in the first series, Villainous Things, and he was a mystery. Through this series we have learned many things about him: his amazing history, his strength, his huge capacity for love, and his growth from an emotionally stunted alien to loving Micah with everything he is. And Micah, he’s so sweet, but also stronger than he seems and loves hard. Micah is the emotional, feisty, willing to be submissive that Ziggy needed.

The storyline of this book captured me almost immediately. While it is considered sci-fi, this book is much more about the love story. The humor is top notch in this book, and I loved seeing how the usually stoic Ziggy had so much fun with the funny parts and mostly because he loves Micah so completely.

The spice is definitely SPICY! The scenes are exceptionally hot, but those don’t take over the book.
As always, the found family storyline was my favorite part of the entire series. There is so much love throughout the family with so many different types of couples, it was just beautiful. I will miss them so much.

I’m so, so sad that the series is complete. I’ve grown to love these two characters and the whole universe so much it’s like saying goodbye to friends. But as always, I’m excited to see what else she has in store for us.

I received an ARC for this book, but I am writing this review voluntarily and am giving the high review from my own experience and opinions. This is an excellent book and a must read!!!

I received this book as an ARC. First off, I'd like to say that I loved this entire trilogy. It's written so differently from other books I read and I like that a lot. It's very millennial/zillenial core which fits my vibes perfectly. Micah is absolutely hilarious and sweet and amazing. I loved him throughout this entire series but especially this book. He just has so much love and care for everyone around him. And reading this book, I realized I'm much more similar to Ziggy than I thought! I too am a ball of anxiety. It was really sweet getting to see them on this adventure and being able to get space married! They deserve all good things.

The antagonist was a bit anticlimactic for me but I'm also glad it ended up like that because I was stressed. I'm glad it didn't end up being something long and drawn out. I love how everyone ended up being brought together in this story... All the different people and aliens we've met. It just kinda made me feel all warm and schmoopy inside. Personal preference, I definitely wanted to Micah get schmexed more but it was perfectly hot and sexy with Ziggy being the bottom through most of this. I do definitely still need to go back and read the other books as I don't have any background on the other characters like Zion and Dre and Gabe and whoever else.

Overall, I really liked the book. I loved the story as a whole and I loved all characters involved. C. Rochelle is very good at creating a load of different characters which I think is sometimes hard to come by. It's nice seeing how different everyone is and yet how they can all come together for a common goal. Can't wait to read more. 🖤

And if you love aliens and smex and Sci-fi (which I usually don't like sci-fi which just goes to show how good this series is) then this trilogy is for you!

The end of an era…

This galactic trilogy concludes with ALL the feels, all the adventure, and all the edge-of-your-seat harrowing ordeals you could ever want.

This series is my Roman Empire… a magnum opus of love-is-love and a big f-you to oppressors everywhere— it is every bit as healing as it is entertaining.

C’s writing is otherworldly— taking us on an accessible, witty, emotional, horny journey filled with queer joy, pop culture easter-eggs, and real life parallels that spark hope while being a cathartic balm.

Imagine the most relatable, hysterical, spiciest (hello Space Daddy) book… imagining it? Now add in the most gripping plot, a sci-fi-lite tale that gives you all the best things about the genre, but rooted in a contemporary feeling world (and galaxy). It’s superheroes in space, it’s Superman meets Space Balls, it's every nerdy thing you’ve ever loved but make it gay AF.

There’s never a dull moment in these always easy to follow (though not predictable!), FAST reads. (No joke I fly through these, don’t let the number of books or lengths discourage you!)

It’s all my favorite things… superheroes (aliens), nerd-core, queer love, rebelling against oppressive regimes, found family, figuring it out as you go, validating, relatable, and oh so hot- pure joy.

I’m sad to say goodbye to these absolute perfect idiots. These Heroes. (Sorry not sorry Ziggy). But I’m honored to have been able to go on this journey alongside this truly amazing couple (THREE BOOKS FOR ONE COUPLE YA’LL 😭).

Brilliant writing makes you feel, changes parts of you along the way— opens your mind and your heart. So thank you C for this gift. For saving the world and making it a little bit closer to how we all wish it could be.

Rebel, rebel.

I read Interstellar Love Song in one sitting and stayed up reading all night to finish. I am sitting her trying to put into words how great this book is. It is the third book in a trilogy that 100% needs to be read in order. There is cross over in the trilogy with characters and events found in the authors Villainous Things series but it can be read on its own.

Micah and Ziggy have been on an incredible rollercoaster ride during their time together. So much has happened to them in such a short time and this third book was a great wrap-up to their books. It brought everything full circle, solved questions that needed answering, added interesting discoveries that could mean an interesting future for all involved, and brough together a full feeling of family found and by blood.

I wanted to say so much about how great this book is and how great it wraps up the storyline but I am still in the phase where all my brain can really do is process how great a book was, how much I wish the series wasn’t over and hope that these characters will appear again sometime down the road.

All the characters in the Villainous Things world are great, they are all unique and have their own stories and I love to see how they appear in other books and series, but there is something just a bit special about Micah and Ziggy. They have something that balances and makes them a happy couple to read about. The love they have is real, it is felt and it is shown and that is a beautiful thing. It’s not just a “fated” situation, it’s more and real. This book has connections and revelations packing it’s pages, and is a ride I plan to travel on again and again.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

I was beyond excited to dive into Interstellar Love Song, and it did not disappoint. As the finale to the *Villains in Space* trilogy, this book was everything I wanted for Ziggy and Micah—and more.

These two have been my favorite couple since their very first appearance, and getting three whole books with them has been such a gift. In this last installment, we get it all: high-stakes space drama, galaxy-saving antics, laugh-out-loud humor, ridiculously creative spice, and—finally—the space wedding we’ve all been waiting for.

But what really made this book shine for me was the emotional depth. Both Ziggy and Micah have grown so much, individually and as a couple, and I loved seeing how far they’ve come in their communication, vulnerability, and sheer devotion to one another.

At the same time, the stakes in this book are higher than ever. The Big Bad is terrifying and always one step ahead, and I was on the edge of my seat, stressed in the best way, waiting to see how everything would work out. The twists kept me on edge, the banter made me laugh out loud, and the moments of tenderness had me sobbing into my Kindle.

I loved that we got so much more of our favorite alien polycule dynamics in this book. Seeing the emotional support that Dre and Gabe (and yes, even Theo) provide to these two was so incredibly heartwarming. The found family dynamic of this Stellari-Salah-Andromeda clan is perfection.

This trilogy has been an absolute ride—equal parts chaos, spice, and heart—and Interstellar Love Song was the perfect sendoff. I already miss these horny little space sloots, but I’m so grateful for the journey.

(Totally not delaying the actual review because I’m in denial the story’s over… 😭)

I haven’t even been done with this book for an hour and I already miss my idiot space babies!

What an amazing finish to this series. After being MERCILESSLY teased with space weddings and *coalesces*, we finally get to see their happily ever after!

I really liked the alien mystery backdrop to this story. It can be really easy to get lost (at least for me) in the alienness of a Sci-Fi romance. I feel like there was a solid balance of the story being grounded in main couple’s journey to space babies, and this mystery of why planets are disappearing. It was a fantastic continuation of all we learned from books one and two.

I’m genuinely so sad this series is over. I did not think I could have a place in my heart for another super couple when the Villainous Things series took up permanent residence. However, Micah and Ziggy are truly superstars in their own right. There is such a unique humor and tone to their story that sets its apart from VT, but also lets it sit perfectly within the same universe.

Also, long live the Space Polycule! 🫶

I’m so excited to see what else comes from this universe the author has created for us. And if you haven’t picked up this series yet DO IT WHY ARE YOU JUST SITTING THERE?!?! 😂

Series: Villains in Space #3
Rating: 4.5 stars

This was a fantastic ending to Ziggy and Micah’s trilogy. We had a proposal, a marriage, a pregnancy, a planet destroying evil, and wizard Micah becoming a badass bitch!

Like the previous books, I was instantly hooked on Micah and Ziggy’s adventures. We have really seen dramatic character growth with both of them and it just continues with this one. Ziggy faces his fears of being a parent, not being there to protect Micah and having to sit out on the sidelines during the action. Micah finally embraces how powerful he is and steps up to be the hero he always was. Rochelle does an absolute fantastic job with character growth and this series really shines because of it.

A lot happens in this book and we learn a whole bunch about new aliens and universes within it. Like I said, I was hooked from the beginning, especially since it was nonstop action and love. What I didn’t expect in this was that we would get a pregnancy right in the middle of all the danger but it also didn’t surprise me because these two shouldn’t have to wait for peace to achieve their dreams of a family. I just really loved the blend of action, danger, and love.

Overall, this was a fantastic ending to a series. I really loved these two and all the adventures they had. My only real complaint was that we don’t get to see Pedro very much because I really loved the Ziggy and Pedro scenes in the previous book. But I also completely understand why they were not in the book very much with all the danger they faced.

I'm slightly heartbroken because I can't believe my favorite trilogy is done, but mostly, my heart is so alive with joy at the perfect ending of this trilogy. It feels resonant.

Micah and Ziggy are just so perfect together. I love how full circle Ziggy has come, emotional growth wise (Dr. Micah might be out of work now). These two are ready to support each other. I think it's awesome that they have given each other the freedom to grow alongside each other. They really are a true partnership. They are so keyed in to each other and leveled up.

I was looking forward to many expected moments in this book, and none of it disappointed. There were tons of surprises as well. And, I must say the plot is like Micah's nerdy fantasy come to life, but with lots more chaos and saving the universe than ya boy probably wanted. Good thing he's a leveled up Space Wizard.

I really couldn't ask for more...
I'm letting five seconds pass by before lovingly asking for more...possibly in the form of more spin-offs or bonus content featuring cameos of these two. But, I truly am so beyond content with their amazeballs story, I'm just so attached to them.

*Ziggy is probably happy to be off the page and would love privacy. Micah would remind him that bonus content is an opportunity to get d!cked down and what Baby Girl wants...

Space Daddy Babby Girl supremacy forever.💫✌️

P.S. make sure you read the One More Skinsuit for the Road bonus epilogue. It scratches an itch 😉
