Rate this book
In a city where the law turns a blind eye, a man who can’t see becomes its deadliest enforcer.

Riven Vayne isn’t a hero. He avenges lives yes, but he does it by ripping people apart. Born from a violent experiment and raised in a system built to break him, Riven’s mission is simple; find the predators society protects and make them vanish.

But when a collision course with Quinn, a rope-bunny with a dark past and sharper tongue, forces him into the light, the lines between vigilante and victim start to blur. Together, they’ll uncover a web of corruption that stretches higher than either of them imagined.

Justice was never meant to be merciful.

Some tragedies are inevitable.

Moony Luve

Moony Luve is a tattooed, foul-mouthed, emo gamer girl writing filthy dark horror romance from the neon belly of Las Vegas. She’s been married for 15 years to her real-life possessive masked book boyfriend, @OperatorGoober a Marine-built mix of Simmons and Axel who lives by the “touch her and die” motto.
She’s got two chaotic mermaid kids, a camera full of alt couples doing unspeakable things in the desert, and an Xbox kill count high enough to make fragile men cry. When she’s not photographing love or writing about obsession, she’s baked on the couch yelling at COD lobbies with her crew Roza, Goober, and Luke.
Her body’s a shrine of tattoos to Marvel, her brain’s a Star Wars databank, and her favorite men are fictional, morally black, and usually covered in blood.

So do you love Marvel characters? do you love dark romance, Marvel hero retellings? Is one of your favorite Marvel superheroes growing up daredevil? If you answered, yes to any of those questions, then you need to read the fearless one by Moony Luve. Moony is one of my bestest friends, we play call of duty together. She is an amazing person and amazing squadmate, and more importantly she is an amazing author of doing Marvel retellings and her newest one is the fearless one. So the fearless one follows Riven he is a blind social worker by day and at night he is a serial unaliver, who unalives the worst type of people. Now how he got his powers is completely different to the original daredevil story. He actually was injected with a serum while he was still inside his mother‘s womb and that is what gave him his powers, now if you know anything about daredevil you know that all of his senses are extremely heightened due to him being blind and it’s no different with Riven. I mean his senses are Completely, I would say his senses are more than what daredevil could ever do. Then he also meets Quinn, who is our FMC. She works in a smex dungeon and completely meets riven by accident, she meets him at one of her friends house after he’s basically telling her that the state is coming to remove her children. But once they meet, they both are completely obsessed with each other and I mean obsessed with each other. You have to read if you understand one of the things that Quinn does for Riven and it’s romantic in a sense but it’s also hilarious what she does. now I do need everyone to understand that this is a tragedy. We are not going to get a happily ever after some things do happen you’re gonna be upset you’re gonna be heartbroken but Next to cyber revenge out of all the books I’ve read by Moony. This probably is number two of my all-time favorites that she’s written. But Moony, love you, Bestie. You do an amazing job with every freaking book you have written. I love all of them now I’ve read and I promise, I’m gonna go back. I’m gonna start my one’s journey now that I’ve read fearless one, I’m gonna go back and read all the other ones

I absolutely love this series, each one unique but connected and so damn good. This one is the story of Riven and Quinn. Their love burn fast and bright but it did not get the HEA you’d love. These two were badass in their own right, and they would’ve made a fierce duo if things were different.

This one wasn’t a favorite out of the series but still extremely satisfying read. I can’t wait for the next one.

I would easily give this book an 8 or 8.5/10. The Fearless One, while a part of The Ones is a standalone book. You don’t need to read the other books first before you read this tragedy of a story. This book truly is a tragedy in the purest sense of the meaning of tragedies. The book follows Riven a blind serial killer, who only goes after the worst kind of people on the planet. While he is blind he has been mutated by the same super serum that was introduced in the first book in the series, The Ruthless One. The serum gives Riven the ability to see around him like with echolocation. When he meets Quinn, who works in a BDSM dungeon as a rope bunny. If you don’t know what that means, to be fair I didn’t necessarily know until I read this book, you should read this book because the author will do a much better job explaining then I would. The is no happy ending to this book. It is tragic in the most heartbreaking, the world’s going to crumble sort of way.

For my feeling on this book, you can tell by my rating that I very much enjoyed it. Having read other books by Moony Luve I was actually expecting this book to lean further into the horror aspect, like in some of her other books, then it actually did. This book was definitely a wild roller coaster ride, thrilling and crazy all at one. However, I feel like that The Ruthless One leaned much harder in to the horror aspects, and that was something that originally drew me to her writing in the first place. I’m drawn to the horror. Now while I didn’t feel like it goes as hard as some of her other books, I absolutely adore Riven. So far I think he might be one of my favorite one of her MMC’s.

Make sure that you read and double read those trigger warnings, cause this book goes hard in other ways. And you need to make sure that those warnings are hitting all the right spots. I personally don’t have issues with anything that I would find in trigger warnings, I can 100% understand why some might. Make sure that you check them, because sh** does get real. In the absolutely best way possible. Riven just comes in to the story like a wrecking ball, and will just shatter you. Good lord, I love him so much. If you like dark horror romance then you 100% need to read this book.

The Fearless One Will Shatter You

Besties… I am a wreck 😭😭😭. "The Fearless One" by Moony Luve (Book #6 in The Ones series, but totally a standalone) gutted me in the best/worst way. It’s pitched as a tragic superhero reimagined horror romance, but honestly? This felt more like a superhero reimagined dark romance tragedy that chewed me up and spit me out.

Quinn is a total force—strong, scarred, unforgettable. And then there’s Riven Vayne… Besties, this man didn’t just walk onto the page, he detonated in my chest. He’s dark, tortured, magnetic, and easily one of my favorite book boyfriends Luve has created. Every scene with him shredded me a little more, and I loved every second of the pain.

Now, while this one doesn’t lean as hard into horror as some of the other books in this series, but it makes up for it with heartbreak and emotional devastation. Don’t be fooled—this ride is still wild, twisted, and soul-shattering. Check those trigger warnings twice, because Moony goes hard. I couldn’t put it down.

My Ratings: ⭐ 5/5 ▪︎ 🥵 5/5

While I've previously read multiple books by Moony Luv, this was my first non HEA tragedy. Quinn works in a BDSM dungeon as a rope bunny and Riven is a blind social worker who moonlights as a prolific serial killer. Their attraction to each other is immediate and their feelings grow deeper quickly. I loved these two characters together and even though I knew it wouldn't end well, I wanted them to have an HEA SO BAD. The heartbreak was gut wrenching but it hurt oh so good. The only thing I would change would be to make it longer, I loved everything about it and I didn't want it to end.
This book is Book 6 in the Ones series, but is a standalone and can be read without the rest of the series. Please check those triggers because this one, while having less horror than expected, is twisted and wild. While I personally have no triggers, I can see why some may react to certain aspects of the story.

I wanna say this book came at a time i didnt know i needed it. As always the story is amazing and non stop read was the plan but work got in the way. R my lovely blind hero ( night time remover of the evil) gets his powers in a childhood event. His day job brings him to Q and the events even though unpleasent they hit it right off. The story hits so much in the character dynamic the issuses that arrive and there is fun , emotions, spicy moments. But I did want to be mad at Luve .....She made me cry. I dont do the cry stories but in this time i think with daily stresss this book making me cry helped. Now we all want a super happy ending but come on its superhero endings happen and not all the way we hope but then there is a sense and a reason. I loved this book this took my #2 fav spot . I love this series!!!!

I’m wrecked. Honestly, I’m still lying on the floor a little hollow, still shaking, still crying over Riven and Quinn. This book hit me so hard, it’s like Moony Luve reached into my chest and rearranged my heart while I wasn’t looking. I feel every piece of their pain, every raw, messy moment, and I can’t stop thinking about them. Moony Luve is just amazing. She doesn’t just write a story, she makes you live it and bleed with it, and fall in love with the wreckage. I’m a mess, but I love it. Five stars isn’t enough.

This one hurt! Like full-on tragedy, sobbing my eyes out hurt!!!!!

Riven is a social worker/serial killer who is blind, and Quinn is a rope bunny. She works in a BDSM dungeon and their attraction is immediate. Their obsession? Instant!

Riven and Quinn were made for each other and in a short space of time they came to mean the world to each other.

It's a sad story but so good! While Moony is a lover of a HEA, she has stepped into her tragedy era and this one is heartbreaking but so good. Definitely a worthwhile read!

I don’t have words, at least not without giving away vital parts of the book. Riven, he is the epitome of the morally gray man. Taking down the bad people who hurt kids, but being a completely amazing man to Quinn. And Quinn, such a hardcore strong FMC. Even when she was at her lowest, she found a way to handle things. The ending is devastating but poetic and perfect!

This was both tender and heart wrenching. We truly fall in love with the characters knowing that this is a tragedy going into it. We get to feel so many emotions in such a short amount of pages. Honestly, I would love even more pages and more backstory to gut me even further lol I’d love to know what was in the journals and what happened at the compound!

Another amazing book by Moony! I love this series so much.
The Fearless One can be read as a standalone.
Riven and Quinn broke my heart. I had never heard of or considered a blind serial killer.
I love Quinn and Riven and hate that there is no HEA. But I'm here for the next book.
I received an advance review copy at no cost and am leaving this review voluntarily.

I didn’t think there was a Moony MMC I could love more than Creed but I was proven very wrong when I was introduced to Riven.

This book was pain and heartbreak, soul shattering, but I could not put it down. Quinn and Riven were perfect. If you want a HEA this isn’t that book, there is revenge but not that HEA we all wanted. It will rip your heart out. I sobbed. I think this book is my favorite in this series now and it can be read as a standalone.

If you have yet to dive into the world that is The Ones, what are you doing?! Get to reading! As always Moonys books come with a list of triggers so be sure to give those a read before jumping in.

Gut wrenching and heartbreaking. Prepare yourselves with tissues and a good amount of time to reflect. The connection is instant which I love but I was hooked on what was going to happen next.

This book was absolutely amazing but word of warning it’s absolutely amazing but this one is going to hurt a lot. I’m not going to spoil it for anyone, There is so much that happens but you just have to read it and find out what. Add it to your TBR you won’t be disappointed.
