This is the prequel to I Killed A Werewolf On My Summer Vacation. Having loved that one, I couldn’t wait to dive into this. I don’t usually enjoy books set in the past, but this one completely won me over. It was brutal, devastating, and impossible to put down. Plus, the cover is fucking awesome. As always, Sam has absolutely smashed it—I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Sam really knows how to tell a story. I really liked this take on the werewolf lore. This was a very fast-paced story with lots of gore. Perfect for horror monster lovers.
Something is killing people. Little Hawk is trying to stop it. The surrounding tribes must try to help. It is something they have never seen before. It is very powerful and evil. Can anyone stop it? Fast-paced edge of your seat read.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I need more. If you don't give it, I'm going to kidnap you Misery-style, without shattering your ankles, of course.
A prequel in the 'I Kill Cursed Creatures'-series, 'We Hunt the Werewolf' is set in the mid 18th century. Despite the fact that it is a rather compact story, it features rich characters, wonderful dialogue and, as we've come to expect from Whittaker, excellent storytelling.
The book is exciting and sometimes brutal read and ties in perfectly with the other books in the series. A fine read.
