A powerful fae lord who's never lived without servants. A human who refuses to be anyone's maid.
Aureniel has never done a chore in his life. Food appears, clothes arrange themselves, baths are drawn. Then he’s banished to the human world—and I’m apparently his only lifeline.
He stares down my coffee maker like it’s a riddle. Floods my kitchen with dish soap. Tries to “summon” clean clothes by glaring at my washing machine. He’s proud, completely clueless, and somehow manages to look regal even while hopelessly out of place.
Every time I try to help, he acts personally affronted—until he turns my bathroom into a sauna and nearly burns down my apartment making a “thank you” dinner. At this point, I’m giving a centuries-old fae lord a crash course in human microwaves, vacuums, why humans lock bathroom doors.
Somewhere between laundry lessons and explaining personal space, the air shifts. Our hands brush, he looks at me like I’m the only magic he can see, and suddenly the lessons get a lot more hands-on—and a lot more complicated.
Because once Aureniel learns how to take care of himself, he gets very creative about showing his gratitude. And I’m starting to think the most dangerous thing about having a fae lord in my apartment... is how hard I’m falling for him.
A cozy fantasy romance with a dash of spice and a guaranteed happily ever after.
Cute and fun read. Well written and very entertaining. I felt it had a rather anticlimactic ending and it could have been so much more. It was almost as if the author was tired of writing or that they really did not want to mess up the characters. They kept saying that they shouldn’t have this connection between them, but we never find out why. Also, I wanted to see what happens when she went to his world. Also, what is the story about when they met years ago?

This is so different from the norm , the characters jump of the page at you , making you want to keep on reading even when you should be sleeping. There is so much comedy it makes you laugh out loud. I hope the author writes a follow on story I can’t believe that’s the end.
Human female meets male Fae & their connection transcends realities!
Well written. Riley is an incredible storyteller. The story contains humor, learning boundaries and teaching a Fae how to cook, clean, bath and do laundry without causing a catastrophe. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it. 5 stars+
