High quality, easy to carry field guide to fish in Michigan. The guide does not have every single fish species in Michigan but covers the majority. Excellent drawings and guide for identification. A must have for those interested in fish, the waterproof pages are a huge plus for taking out in the field.

Very good book for what it portrays itself to be. Plenty of information about various types of fish. Each page is short but packed full of useful information as well as illustrations of the different species.

I really liked this book, and enjoyed reading it. This book was a very fast read because i like the topics\ main points. this book if a useful guide to idenifly fish species of michigan. also can be used to kill time and relax on those rainy days.
this book tells the facts! thats makes it even better to read. for example it says bass love frogs. knowing this i caught a 19 in the next day. overall this book is in my top five and gets 5 stars. buy it

A great read. Full of hand-illustrated mugshots of any fish you are likely to catch in Michigan waters, explaining whether they are foreign or domestic, their range, popularity as fishermen's quarries and tastiness. Even includes compare-and-contrast images to make it easier to tell similar-looking fish apart. Oh, and this is the waterproof edition, so you can take it on the boat with you without wrecking it.

Great book. Really enjoyed reading the life history traits. Also the closeup drawings of distinguishing characteristics, that showed the difference between two species, was very helpful!
