I sat with this book as if it were my North Star. And that isn't to say that it steered me along the right path every single time I opened it up, no I am saying this because the journey was a much-needed one. It came at the right time, and as a gift, too.

Sometimes, we need wisdom to glide to us in other forms, and when it is laced as poetry and literary art, for the written word creative, that is a blessing.

To connect with another human being's words when you're hungry for peace is soulspeak on an entirely different level.

Lisa Marie Lovett is in fact, "Seasoned Dialogue", everything about this book screams teacher, poet, writer, experienced, a work in progress, blessed, and willing to learn. "Knowledge is infinite", and within these pages, there is plenty of it shared with the reader.

I intend to read this book many more times, especially when life becomes far too heavy to carry or is cloaked in evil that I cannot fight alone.

Let Me Write This Gently, My Baby is a testimony that will continue to confess for many years to come.

Poetry isn't often my first choice, but Lisa's writing and delivery are exceptional. I will be reading this on repeat. Can we get an audio book, pleeeeaaaase? Because the only thing better than reading her work is hearing her speak it.

I love all things poetry and this was a really good book. I came across the author on social media and she was performing some spoken word pieces and I instantly fell in love. When I discovered she was writing this book, I immediately had to have it. While it is not all poetry, but a mixture of stories and prayers as well, all written gracefully , I really enjoyed this book. I could relate to a lot of what she wrote and it allowed me to heal, and self reflect in many ways.

This is an absolutely fabulous book!!! It can teach us all something about protecting ourselves and those we love. It also can teach us how to see people for who they are and if they deserve to continue to have a place in our lives. I marked so many powerful and relevant passages and stories in this book that I don’t want to forget. Powerful, insightful, educational and uplifting!!

Superb. Bite sized nuggets of truth and realness. Raw and relatable, beautifully crafted and lyrically written. Earthy, warm, and smooth in delivery.
