*** CRAWL FOR YOUR FATE. ***
BATTLE OF FATES IS AN ADULT DARK FANTASY AND IS THE FINAL BOOK IN THE SEER'S END SERIES.
A traitor. A witch. A warrior.

The gods no longer speak in whispers. They scream.

Jasper Rushmere walks hand-in-hand with the darkness now, the fates have carved a path for him. Bound to the Shadow Slaught and guided by forces older than the gods, he must sacrifice everything—his heart, his freedom, and perhaps his soul—to bring Luminara back from the brink of annihilation.

Lorelia bleeds for hope. Caught between love and survival, haunted by the power of the darkness beneath Jasper’s skin and the weight of her own unravelling magic. As Asterous falls to Queen Maya’s reign of terror, Lorelie must surrender to despair or risk everything to defy the threads that bind them.

Kitani rides the winds of her nighthawk, torn between vengeance and destiny. The gods whisper her name, but even they cannot promise she’ll survive the coming storm.

The threads of fate are soaked in blood.

The gods are watching.

The battle of fates has begun.

And the Seer’s end is near.

I received a free advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review on multiple platforms. I was meant to get the full trilogy to review and with the release date looming I just read the final book blind.

As someone who jumps around books, series and even genres, I do think that every book in a series still needs enough context and descriptions to be self-contained - i.e. the books should each have a full story arc and work as a standalone book if need be. Fortunately. this book has enough context to pull together the meat of the previous books: Lorelai has been cast out of her homeland and been deeply betrayed (at least) twice over; Kita is continuing the legacy of her people despite a terrible loss, and a rebellion is rising in a land of various magical and mythical creatures. With the worldbuilding calling for such a broad array of creatures, the narrative often has to introduce and explain characters and what exactly they are, which can be a little clunky but useful in a story with so many characters and powers and creatures.

The only downside I could find with not having read the previous books was that when the epic final battle was in full sway and all the friends the characters made along the way swoop in to fight alongside the main characters... I had no idea who or what they were or why it mattered that they were there. I got the gist of who was friend and who was foe, but as Kita wonders at one point during the battle; "Holy mother of Narissa who in gods name is that."

Side note: Kita is my favourite character in the book, I found her funny, relatable and down-to-earth. I find it hard to relate to fantasy characters sometimes with their crazy powers and abilities, so I really appreciate when there's characters like Kita.

The spicy scenes, while less of them than I'd expected, were detailed, descriptive, and damned hot. The descriptiveness carries across into scenes covering the other trigger warnings listed in the front of the book, so I would recommended checking that list carefully.

On the assumption that the rest of the trilogy has the same level of description, character exploration and just sheer variety of myth, I would recommend this book to dark (with emphasis on dark) romantasy readers who are looking for a fast-paced, immersive read, even if they haven't read the first two (although I intend to get round to them).

✨ e-Book Tour Stop ✨

Get ready for your new favourite fantasy romance... because Battle of Fates by @thebookwitchh is on its E-BOOK TOUR with @talesandteacupspr!

Battle of Fates is a dark fantasy romance! I have found that the story to be quite gripping and there are definitely explicit scenes involved in the story. The ending was quite interesting but quite devastating for some of the characters involved, so prepare to have your heart broken. I would say the story involves several POVs and it would be a good book if you love reading other characters POV that isn’t the main characters. I will give this book a solid 3.5 stars for the quick and fast enjoyment that I had for it that kept me interested in what happens towards the end.

Tropes you’ll love:
 🖤 Found Family
 🖤 Morally Grey Hero
 🖤 Enemies to Lovers
 🖤 Paranormal Romance

If you’re after a deliciously dark and romantic read, this is the release you don’t want to miss! Thank you @talesnteacupspr for having me be a part of this tour!

I went into Battle of Fates not really knowing what to expect, and honestly, it was such a fun surprise. The pacing is quick, so it never drags, and the mix of action with character moments kept me invested the whole way through.
What I really liked is how the characters feel different from each other: nobody blurs together, and the banter between them made me laugh more than once. At the same time, there are some heavier, emotional parts that caught me off guard (in a good way). It made the battles feel like they actually mattered.
The world-building is clear without dumping info on you, which I really appreciate in fantasy. Sometimes I get lost with too many names or rules, but here it was easy to follow and still felt vivid.
Overall, this was a great read, exciting, funny, and even a little heartfelt. Definitely recommend if you’re into fantasy that balances action with character-driven storytelling.

ARC Book Review
⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5/5)

I dove into this book with no expectations, and it was a delightful surprise! The story is filled with relentless action and heartfelt emotion that kept me hooked from the start.

What stood out was the individuality of each character; their witty banter made me laugh, while emotional moments added depth to the battles.

The world-building is brilliant and accessible, avoiding the confusion often found in fantasy novels. This book crafts a vivid world that’s a joy to explore.

In short, it’s a thrilling adventure with humor, memorable characters, and impactful moments. If you’re looking for a fantasy tale that combines action and character development, I highly recommend it!

I am very thankful to @talesandteacupspr and the author for allowing me to read this book!

I was unable to put the 3rd (and final) book of the Seer’s End series down. Of course I needed to know how this would end, but the plot kept me on the edge of my seat and always turning to the next page. Cummings wrote a beautiful blend of fantasy and dark romance that took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I was so mad and hurt due to betrayal for most of the book but I also felt pride, hope, loyalty (which was strong due to all the deceit), and love. There were so many twists in books 2 & 3 of the series that I don’t want to spoil anything for you, so I encourage you to get in line and ride this roller coaster with me as I will be reading all 3 books again.

✨The ending!!! I just didn’t see it coming! Kinda got me there with that dedication! ‼️😵‍💫😭

✨This is the third book in the Lores of Fate, a story that follows Lorelai, finding out her true destiny and fighting for freedom. There are A LOT of moving parts in this story, with many intertwined stories and POVs. This is more fantasy than romance, but when there is spice, it’s spicy! 😮‍💨 What a ride this was! My favorite characters throughout were Lorelai and Jasper, I was invested in their story! 😍🙌🏻

This book is nonstop action from the very first page. After the cliffhanger in Fates Among Us, the story wastes no time pulling us right back into the chaos. I loved the fast-paced plot and the way the spotlight stays on our main characters as their journey builds toward the final battle. The character development is fantastic, and this installment has easily become my favorite in the series. If you enjoyed the previous books, trust me you’ll want to stick around until the very end.

*ARC Read* OMG! These books just get better and better! I'm still very unhappy with Jasper! Especially now because of the end of the book. In Lor's words "Asshat"! I'm in love with the Nighthawks and their home. By far one of my all time favorite book creatures! The found family bond and the love all the characters have for each other is absolutely amazing! Kita is by far my favorite character 💖  that woman had my heart! The ending has my mind reeling as to what's to come for the future! Loved, loved, loved this series!
