Half the reason I liked this book was nostalgia (we read the first book as a family when I was very young), and half just how sweet it is. The main characters in this book have such a family unity that even I'm jealous of, and every member of the family has a desire to serve the Lord (besides Moses and Melissa of course, because they're too little to know what's going on half the time XD). Yeah, the book has mistakes and cringey stuff in it, but what can you expect? It was written for kids. And, if you compare the first Moody book to this one, you can really see how far Sarah Maxwell has come as a writer.

Whether you have older kids, younger kids, or both, this is a great book for family reading time. Even if you only have one kid, or maybe you are a kid yourself, it's guaranteed to be a hit. My brothers and I were always excited for our Moody book reading time, and no doubt your kids will be by the end of the first book, and be begging for just one more chapter. Mollie, Max, Mitch, and Maddie are guaranteed to be a great example and influence on them, too.

I would like to take a moment to say thank you to Sarah Maxwell for helping to create amazing times in my childhood, from the time the first book came out to the time Mom and Dad surprised me with the sixth, to the time we bought nine and ten. The name Moody brings back many happy memories, and those memories wouldn't be there without her. So huge, huge thanks to the author that made my childhood. ❤❤❤
