Rate this book
Night is falling and London is about to be plunged into terror. As Patrick and Judy Schnitzler arrive in the city to search for their runaway daughter, they have no idea that they're about to be dragged into a nightmare from which there might be no escape.

Patrick and Judy soon split up so that they can cover more ground. Patrick quickly thinks he's found a clue, and he finds himself at an abandoned warehouse that hides many secrets. By the time he understands the true horror lurking in the warehouse's darkness, however, will he be too late to get away?

Meanwhile Judy is lost in the streets of the city. She soon encounters a strange and enigmatic young woman who seems to know her way around the dark and twisting streets. Heading toward the river, they witness something hideous emerging from the water. Just how many ghosts are there in London, and what happens when they all emerge at once?

Dusk is the first book in the Haunting of London series, a collection of stand-alone but loosely linked horror stories set over the course of one ghostly twenty-four hour period in the city.

Descent into madness!

My last 'Amy Cross' book was a huge disappointment and I nearly passed this one by. Thank goodness I didn't. This was a first rate story, of the paranormal and revenge from/to the afterlife.

A professional (and outwardly happy) couple leave their idyllic rural Somerset home in pursuit of their run-away daughter. However, are this family as prim and proper as they appear to the outside world? They follow their daughter to London and pursue her through the dingy streets of of the capital's less salubrious areas. Always close but never close enough.

Unknown to any of them, the day they have chosen for their London adventure is the one day in the year when all of London's dead come out to play.

This was a really good, if short, tale of family secrets being aired and subsequent revenge from beyond the grave. Whoever this 'Amy Cross' writer was, he/she has penned a classic (of sorts). Highly recommended!

Yes Yes Yes Amy Cross is back!!! Anyone that has followed my reviews know that she is one if not my favorite horror author! When she comes out with a series, I am there! I saw that she was starting a new series about ghosts in London and I preordered right away. So enough with the background let’s get this review going!!!!

So the book starts out with Patrick and Judy arriving in London, searching for their daughter Grace, who ran away from home. They eventually split up, thinking they can cover more ground to find her, and after they do, so, Patrick spots Grace.

While, Patrick tries to follow Grace, Judy ends up meeting a very strange homeless girl who says she can help her find her daughter .

What happens next and from then on is just absolutely crazy and will blow your mind. The twist and turns in this book are phenomenal and finding out each parent is searching for Grace for their own reasons.

This book has more twist and I just absolutely loved it. It was very creepy. It took a little while for it to be creepy and for you to kind of figure what was going on but the way it was written was just perfect. The reader is trying to figure it out and then once you find out a certain thing because you don’t find out everything at one time but once you find out a certain thing you’re like oh my God, what the hell?!

I highly highly recommend this book as I do most of her books almost all of them. I don’t think I’ve ever read a bad book by her and I cannot wait to see where the next book goes mainly because from what I understand, every book is a different story that has to do with the ghost of London at the end of this book. It seems like it’s going right into book 2, which is a totally different story which I think is absolutely amazing book 2 is called 9 PM and then it goes by the hours so book 3 is 10 PM book for is 11 PM and so on if the rest of the books are like this book I’m in for a wild ride so I will say this one more time highly highly recommend this if you’re looking for a good creepy story that also has a little mystery behind it and twists and turns that you really don’t see coming until right before it happens. If I could give this more than five stars, I would just absolutely love her. Work and I don’t know how she puts out so many books per year, but I’m glad she does because I try to buy them all and her books are usually really cheap on Kindle so if you’re into the digital one, it’s definitely worth the couple bucks that is to get it just floored by the story two very big thumbs up!!!

This is the first in a series of horror novels by Amy Cross and it was unputdownable!

So, I ran across this series of about a half dozen loosly connected horror novels by Amy Cross called The Haunting of London and I purchased them through Amazon. I had no idea what to expect, but I'm happy to report that this was a 5 star novel that I finished in three days. The novel was perfectly written without a single misspelled or incorrectly chosen word. That elevates this book to 5 stars because it seems that almost no other horror writers can achieve this level of perfection nowadays. Horror novels are my mainstay, so I am very well attuned to determining the quality pics from the mediocre and this book was quality all the way.

Great read

I missed volume one, and it would have explained a lot of things. But, this was still a great story. Oh my, lots of ghosts. So many that you aren't sure who is a ghost or not. If you like seeing the bad guy get what's coming to them, enjoy.
