For three years, Ivan Petrov has been a thorn in my side–teasing, provoking, pushing me to the edge. He’s my best friend’s older brother, and if his arrogant smirk and infuriating presence didn’t make me want to snap, his devastating looks sure did.
But Ivan isn’t just Alina’s overprotective brother–he’s Bratva royalty. Cold, dangerous, ruthless, with a reputation that leaves people trembling. I’ve always told myself I’d never fall for someone like him. He’s unpredictable, violent, and everything I should stay away from.
I thought I had control. I was wrong.
For three years, I’ve been watching her, and every moment has only pulled me deeper into her orbit.
Aurora thinks she can keep me at arm’s length with her sharp tongue and her defiant eyes, but she doesn’t understand that every insult, every challenge she throws at me just feeds the hunger inside me. She belongs to me, whether she likes it or not. She thinks she’s in control, that she can stay out of my reach. But she’s wrong. She’s mine. She always has been. She just hasn’t realized it yet, and I’ll make sure she does.
”It’s her. It’s always been her, and it will always be her.”
Say no more, I am that easy! I judged this book by its cover and stayed for the story and I’m glad I did. The characters pulled me in right away. they weren’t perfect, but that made them even more lovable. The banter was sharp, believable, and so true to their age, which made their connection all the more real.
A good MMC is only as strong as his FMC, and Aurora was such a fun heroine! Ivan is a total book boyfriend material, but Aurora made me love him even more. she’s feisty, mouthy, and not afraid to stand her ground. Their chemistry hit all the marks, and the action-packed plot kept me hooked right to the end. The love declarations at the end, from both of them, was just such a perfect way to end this book. For a debut, this feels like such a strong start, and I’ll definitely be keeping my eye on this author!
Okay I liked this book but also didn’t… it fit the very definition of slow burn but not in a good way because the hot and cold act by the MMC specifically and sometimes even the FMC towards one another was INFURIATING Also the spicy scenes were giving amateur… 😐
This book desperately needs an editor. Sentences switched from past tense to future tense making 0 sense and overall the grammar was just horrible. The storyline could’ve been good but the atrocious grammar and lack of substance had me DNF at 22%.
I absolutely loved this book. I haven’t read dark mafia romance for a long time but this one really made me feel hooked🥹 I really felt with the characters, especially Aurora. She was an emotional girl yet had to be so strong. And her friendship with Alina is just beautiful. Leonid (Leon) was such a funny character that added a lot of character to the book, which I loved. Another thing I loved was that the book was not predictable, every time I thought I had figured the plot out, I was proven very wrong. It continued to leave me in shock over and over and I loved that!! And I was definitely not prepared for the last chapters, and definitely not the epilogue😭
I would definitely recommend this book if you like dark romance!
The story was there, but it needed more editing (imo). Russian mafia and an obsessive MMC usually do it for me, but in this case I ended up loving the FMC more. Ivan was lacking (IMO)
OMG, this was such a wonderful surprise! Absolutely loved this book. If you are looking for a mafia romance that is plot heavy, add this to your TBR, ASAP. And the plot twist 🤯
I really really liked this book, the storyline was so good and the characters are AMAZING. Aurora is a character I can relate to so much and I love that in a book and Ivan is just hot assss helllll!!! I also love all the side characters like Alina, Kirill, Leonid and Niko. And not to be that one but Ivan’s dad Dimitri.. hear me out😏 but I loved this book and I’m so happy that I found this book on TikTok! Love supporting indie authors🎀
My Scarred Knight delivers obsession, power struggles, and raw emotion in the best possible way. Ivan is a commanding presence, and Aurora’s refusal to break easily makes their story so satisfying. This is the kind of dark romance that stays in your head long after you finish. Five stars without hesitation.
I really enjoyed this book! Not my normal genre, but Aurora and Ivan was just amazing together! Both flawed and struggling, but in the end so devoted to each other. I look forward to what the author writes next! 🫶
