I won this book in a goodreads giveaway...thank you.
This is the first book I have read by this author and found it to be a very good contemporary romance novel. I make jewelry so having the story tell about the jewelry industry was a big draw for me. The romance between the main characters was sweet and hot and believable. I would recommend to anyone interested in a quick pleasant read.

This my first book by Susie Warren and she weaves a sweet/harsh story about young infatuation and scandal. Emilia and Alex play hot and cold with each other throughout the story and you can relate to how they both feel as they try to figure out what they both want. I love how this story took off and also the way it ended. Susie is a great writer and I look forward to reading this whole series

This book had secrets, scandals, a weird family, a handsome suitor, jewelry, and more.

I received an ecopy in exchange for my honest opinion.

I was given this book for free for an honest review. I loved this book. It was a sweet romantic story. I wish I had known it was #2 in the series before I tried it, but it stands on it's own. The characters are believable and easy to fall in love with. Definitely worth reading again and again.

The Exiled Jeweler: a contemporary romance novel (The Rosa Legacy Book 2) Susie Warren
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
Genre: Contemporary Romance
I love contemporary romances, but really only those with an extra edge. I tend to get hypercritical of the seventies M&B type though of course they have millions of readers. Back to the adage that not all readers will like all books. Clearly they do it for millions, but not for those who like me demand a little extra. That’s not a criticism but an observation, and this book falls into the “didn’t quite cut it for me” slot.

Its a great premise but I focussed too much on realities, practicalities such as why when they couldn’t meet next weeks payroll was Emilia buying a new condo, and new furniture and a designer dress, plus of course she had to have six pairs of designer shoes. Clearly the rich and I have very different priorities...I had issues too with the relationship between her and Alex, he accuses her of blowing hot and cold and that’s justified as she seems to me to do exactly that. The photo issue seemed a storm in a teacup too and I really wasn’t convinced that it was the problem it was made out to be.
Its a shame because I was hoping for lots from this book, the start was very promising, Emilia seemed determined, a solid lead, a talented and ambitious lady – until she met her family again and then she just seemed to fold up and withdraw. Alex, rich, suave, perfect hero, and throw in the rich bitch who wants to become Mrs Armanti and I thought we’d have the perfect, claws out jealousies I love to see....but it all seemed very low key and understated, very gentile bitching... and I didn’t get what I’d hoped for.
With the practicalities sorted, and the drama intensified I could have loved this book but as it is, well it just didn’t cut it for me. As ever though – like those famed M&Bs – that doesn’t mean you won’t like it, thankfully we all enjoy different things from our reading which gives us a great range of books. If you want a low key romance with a HEA that’s easy to read and you can ignore those practicalities then this may well be your perfect read – its just not mine.

Stars: Sadly two and a half, its not a bad book just not one that worked for me.

I liked this story. I did feel, however, that Emilia seemed to have to give more than Alex did. It was like he expected these big gestures from her. Only after she complied did he press in. That didn't seem fair. I appreciated that he was trying to be honorable, I must say. Still...

Emilia and Alex had great chemistry. It was memorable and intense. They were like magnets, really. What was between them came across very quickly. They were evenly matched in terms of grit, drive and passion.

I received an ARC from Reading Deals Review Club in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book I have read by Susie Warren and it most certainly won't be my last! I loved Alex and Emilia's story! After a scandal tore them apart, they find themselves together again after 4 years, both unable to deny their intense connection and attraction to each other. I devoured every delicious moment of their story and really hated for it to end! I highly recommend this book and have added Susie Warren to my MUST-READ authors list!

There is a love/hate relationship between Emilia and Alex and it's seriously sexy:
She whispered, “I’ve no desire to have a public relationship with you.”
“You wish to keep it a private affair?”
He was playing with her and she needed to gain the upper hand.
“I don’t see how this could benefit you.”
He met her gaze. “Thirty seconds alone and I could demonstrate how I plan to benefit.”
I really liked this book, Alex was sexy and Emilia was a strong female.
