Trying the Knot

Rate this book
Imogen Holiday thought she knew what she was getting into when she took the job as physiotherapist for Scotland’s fiercest Alpha rugby team. Bruised bodies, big egos, and gruelling hours.

She didn’t expect them.

Angus. Finn. Evander.

Three dominant Alphas with rough hands, sharp tongues, and hungry eyes.

Even more unexpected?

Imogen discovers she’s an Omega.

Now the men she’s supposed to keep in peak condition want to claim her for themselves. One touch turns to teasing. One look becomes a promise. The line between professional and primal blurs fast.

But when a threat rises off the field, desire isn’t the only thing burning. Imogen will have to decide if she can surrender to the pack that wants her body, heart, and soul or if she’ll run before everything comes crashing down.

Because once you’re claimed by Alphas like these…
there’s no going back.

Trying the Knot is an MFMM omegaverse with a HEA.

I can't even begin to explain how disappointed I am with this book. I absolutely loved Pixel Perfect Pack, so I was excited to read another book by the author, but this one doesn't even come close to comparing.

For starters, it definitely needs to be read over and edited fot spelling and grammatical errors. There was a plethora of them.

Then there's the storyline itself having hardly any substance. For a 300 page book, not a lit actually happened. There was hardly any plot building or worl development, with a miniscule amount of interaction and connection between the characters. The plot was completely predictable, there was dead end points that had no reason for being part of the plot (like Levi with the break-in), and other than a few very brief interactions with each other the main characters didn't really mesh together before all of a sudden they confess their devotion to Imogen. It all just fell very flat. Even the characters themselves lacked much personality, every one of them just cruising on one mediocre note.

The omegaversr aspect what pretty mid,not gonna lie. Like they claimed they were scent matches, but that didn't really do much of anything, and then the bond bites at the end was pathetic in that it didn't really do anything.

Don't even get me started on the steamy scenes with the crazy positioning that was hard to wrap my head around enough to even image properly.

Oh, and I'm not sure what it is with some authors writing best friends who are completely obnoxious to the point of distastefullness, but Imogen's best friend Autumn was very much that. I don't know about anyone else, but nothing sounds more dreadful than a friend like that.

Over all, this book was a solid miss for me. It could have been good, but it lacked in so many areas.

I received an ARC of Trying the Knot in exchange for an honest review!

Trying the Knot is Sabrina Bloom's second book. After reading--and loving--her debut novel(la?), Pixel Perfect Pack, I was beyond excited for her next work. Bloom has a talent for writing about disabilities that don't just magically get better, which is somewhat rare in the fluffier omegaverses.

Trying the Knot follows Imogen Holiday as she starts her dream job working for the Scottish Alpha Rugby Team as a Physiotherapist. Imogen uses a pink, sparkly cane as a walking-assist after an accident that left her leg severely injured. It also left her ABO Regressed, or without a designation. In a world full of Alphas, Betas, and Omegas, being differently abled *and* without a designation meant it was hard to find a place she fit.

When Imogen starts her dream job, the last thing she expected was to have such a strong, mutual, attraction to three of the team's star players--Finn, Evander, and Angus. The three are in a pack together and were dealing with their own issues. Evander had just lost his brother and teammate, Rory, and is deep in his grief. Angus is team captain and well past Rugby retirement age. Finn is the youngest and his only "flaw" is being somewhat of a slob. When the four meet, sparks fly and they each fall in love and learn to be their best selves, together.

The book is full of humor, heart, and steam. Every moment is packed full of action--I devoured this book over the course of a day and can already feel the book hangover coming on!

The book does not have an omegaverse explanation at the beginning, but this is a non-shifting, ABO omegaverse. They bite to bond and can feel each others' emotions to a certain extent. Omegas go into heat, alphas have knots, and there's all the usual slick, nesting, and purring you'd expect from a fluffy omegaverse.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves fluffy omegaverse!

Oh my God!!!!!!!!!
I love this book so much. Sabrina sucked me in right from the start and she kept me locked in for the rest of the book! I'd never been much of a fan of sports, but there is a beautiful mix when it comes to bringing in Omegaverse. Sabrina did it so well that I didn't realize I'd finished until I couldn't flip the pages on my screen anymore!
I was definitely sad that I finished, but she wrapped the book up so well!
We've got a lovely mix of everything. Plot -- with several alphas who are trying to heal in their own way, or they're fighting a battle that others may or may not know about. Then you've got Imogen, who is living life with a career she enjoys.
When their worlds collide?
We've got a lovely mix of some intense moments, some drama (both the type that had me giggling like a school girl and some that had my jaw hitting the ground), and then we've got some STEAM! Oh, MAN, the steamy moments were AMAZING!!
Each character felt like they had their own unique voice and I absolutely LOVED that. While one alpha had me ready to pull out my hair (No, I'm not revealing who!), the others won me over extremely fast. The 3rd one earned forgiveness eventually and now I adore him, too!
Get ready for a wild ride, y'all, because Sabrina is also going to drag you through some really intense moments! Don't worry, though. Those that have you stressing out will be outweighed with all those amazing, steamy scenes ;)
This was another masterpiece by Sabrina and I can't WAIT to get this in paperback! Yet another book I will be rereading again and again and AGAIN!
I can't wait for the next book!!!

Sabrina Bloom has done it again and this is her second book as well. This lady knows how to bring us a story with characters that are instantly relatable too. She brings a story that grips you and makes you want more. This is a sweet story with all the feels. Sabrina Bloom really does not write as w new author but someone who is more seasoned.

So if you like omegaverse with a sweet fmc who is strong and has pushed herself to be the best she can be while battling her own disability and add into this she had no designation. All it takes is one alpha to set her inner omega off and kickstarts her latient omega genes. A new job throws this alpha in her path and not only him but his pack mates. Has a line been drawn between physiotherapist and alpha rugby players or can this line be crossed.

Sabrina brings us everything we want from a sweet omegaverse story, and each character easily stands on their own.

Book needs to be read to appreciated.

Who doesn't love big, rugby man thighs? *swoon*

Okay, in all seriousness. This is another take on the FMC accepting a new position in a dream job, only to find out that her scent matches (Angus, Finn and Evander) are three key players on the team she now works for. OF. FREAKING. COURSE.

So what makes this book special? Well...Imogen (or Immy as sweet Finn likes to call her) was in a devastating car accident a number of years prior, leaving her with a damaged leg and repressed A/B/O designation (which of course, comes out when she meets the guys!!!) Not only that, but not too long before she arrives in the picture, Angus loses his brother, which sends him spiraling and not surprisingly, grumpy.

I had been waiting FOREVER for this book to come out and it was a quick read once it finally did! If you are looking for a sweet, fairly low-angsty OV book with hot, rugby players then this is a good one to pick up.

Trying the knot for the win!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Trying the Knot had me hooked from page one. The mix of humor, heart, and heat made this such a fun read! The characters are impossible not to root for—messy, stubborn, and oh-so-relatable as they stumble their way through love, pack bonds, and all the chaos that comes with them.

What I loved most is how the relationships weren’t rushed; the tension built naturally, the banter kept me laughing, and the spicy moments? Let’s just say I’ll never look at “tying the knot” the same way again. 😉

If you like found family, protective dynamics, and just the right mix of swoon and steam, this book delivers it all. A perfect blend of comfort and spice!

This was a good time. I found myself interested in the story very quickly and kept reading "just one more chapter". There's nothing like some forced proximity to get those alpha and omega pheromones working in overdrive. This is a slower burn as far as OV books go, but the heat scene was plenty spicy. I would have wished for just a little more courting from the men to show a bit more emotional connection. I liked that it features rugby and is set in Scotland. Imogen has a physical disability and reads as a plus size FMC. I enjoyed this author previous novella and would definitely read more from her.

This might be my first omegaverse and rugby-themed book, and I must admit it's a refreshing change, especially since I have some knowledge of rugby—though not much.

I appreciated the ABO regressive designations, which in this case were caused by a car accident. The representation of disability in the story was also enjoyable.

Overall, it was a worthwhile read, filled with all the typical omegaverse elements: heats, knots, Alphas and Omegas, along with a touch of trauma and a strong sense of found family.

A good palette cleanser from too much Mafia Romance. I read Pixel Perfect Pack and that was also good. The author only has 2 published books on Amazon and they’re both very softie Omegaverses’

I’m a grown ass woman and I make my own goddamn signs. This is the perfect time for a happily ever after and I’ll be damned if I’m going to let anything get in my way.

Set in the world of Scottish Rugby, Imogen was a great mix of sweet and sassy in this omegaverse. Her three perfectly imperfect alphas were unique and made sense as a pack. My only issue was with the ending, where the drama wrapped up a little too neatly for my liking.

I love disability rep in omegaverse! It just makes me happy. This book was the perfect mix of sports romance and work place romance. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot was amazing. The only thing i missed from this book was more teammate interactions but its just my preference. I highly recommend this book!

Trying the Knot by Sabrina Bloom is an Omegaverse story. I know nothing about rugby, but that didn't matter. Imogene was in an accident a long time ago, overcame those challenges, and is now a physiotherapist for a rugby team. She gets an offer to work for a different team and takes it. Love the story. Love the guys. Enjoyed the story, will def read more from this author.

Imogen's story was so different from other omegaverse books. I really enjoyed her and the guys story. The things everyone went through to find each and to work so hard to be together. Its an omegaverse but it's also a full of romance. If you want a good and loving story to read then this book is for you.

I enjoyed Imogen and her Rugby mates story. I loved the disability representation and all the complicated issues her pack faced. Secrets, grief and Imogen's emerging Omega were all interesting aspects of this story.

I honestly wished the story was a bit longer and the loose ends were not tied up so quickly.

Just like Pixel Perfect, Trying the Knot sucked me right in. Sabrina Bloom's writing style has a very unique flow that makes every reading experience very light and quick.
The story was cute and frustrating at the same time🤣 These guys, I swear🤣🤣
Nonetheless, Trying the Knot was one of those pallet cleansing, Sunday afternoon reads, I truly love!

This was a good omegaverse, I usually read hockey but the rugby was a nice change. There were a lot of factors in this book that helped the book move along and help the guys come together. I wish there had been a little more behind why her boss was such an ass but it wasn’t vital to the story.

This was a bit different but I really enjoyed the storyline and Rugby aspect of it. It was fun to read a British take on Omegaverse
