Whispers in the Quarter

Rate this book
Retired exotic dancer Maggie “The Mouth” Moreau stumbles across a forgotten tunnel beneath the French Quarter. While exploring, she doesn’t expect to find her own name in a decades-old journal. With the help of Lawrence — a ghost hunter with a shaky flashlight and a stiff drink — Maggie uncovers a hidden war beneath the city’s cobblestones. An ancient force is waking, and it remembers her.

Whispers in the Quarter gives Nancy Drew vibes - if Nancy Drew were a 72 year old retired stripper with a foul mouth and a penchant for sarcasm.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (because anything less and Maggie would personally kick my butt)

Listen, I wrote this book. So yes, I’m biased. But also yes, it’s amazing. Whispers in the Quarter stars our 70-something year old protagonists, Maggie (an ex-stripper with a sharper tongue than a gator’s tooth) and Lawrence (a ghost hunter who probably deserves hazard pay for putting up with her). Together, they take on the kind of supernatural mess that makes you wonder if you should start buying salt at Costco.

This is book one of a planned 10-book series. That’s right, TEN. Because when you’re dealing with evil things in New Orleans and memories that just won’t stay buried, one book isn’t enough.

If you enjoy supernatural thrillers with grit, sass, and the occasional “did she really just say that?” moment, then congratulations — you’ve found your next read. And if you don’t? Well, Maggie would like a word with you.

✨ Physical and digital copies are available on Amazon and there is even a sneak book at book 2, Eyes in the Quarter!
