Rate this book
This is book 3 in a series about the fictional character Hannah Casey Oakley. In book one, "When the Buckeyes Fall", we follow Hannah's early life from teenager to early 20's, as she survives the tragedies of the Civil War in Johnson County, Arkansas. In book two, "At the End of Oak Alley", we follow along through most of her 20's and 30's, as she travels with her new husband to Charleston, South Carolina, to live during the aftermath of the war. In this, the 3rd and final book, Hannah and her family have returned to Arkansas, where she lives out the remainder of her life. You will follow along as she navigates all the many twists and turns of life, many historical events, births, deaths, etc., from the 1880's all the way to the 1930's. For those who read the first two books, you must read this, the final chapter in Hannah's life, to find out what happens to her after she returns to Arkansas.

I Grew Up in Lone Pine

It was interesting to read about the place where I lived as a child. My parents and grandparents are buried in Lone Pine Cemetery. I have enjoyed the entire Hannah Oakley series.
