However, when Heidi's dangerous ex-boyfriend shows up with blackmail and threats, Bryce knows he has to step in—even if protecting her might mean exposing the truth about what he really is and risking losing her forever.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I really liked how Bryce came to Heidi's defence & told her she ain't no f-up! He's sweet. Once again I wish it was a longer story, Jennifer... it was getting interesting in the end 😁

Driftwood Cove has its secrets and its villains and I think we can safely say that Darren is the bad boy of the town. Heidi has come home to help her parents after the discovery of Sasha stealing the pills from her parents pharmacy. After leaving under a cloud Driftwood Cove is not somewhere she wants to be, with everyone still whispering about her and having not forgiven her for her past. Bryce is her brother's best friend and has always seen the real Heidi and has never judged her. As they start to get to know each other Darren, her ex, appears and after he threatens her Heidi knows she has to make a decision and get help from the one person who has never let her down. This is a series that I am really enjoying and Driftwood Cove is a place I wished I lived in, although it has the usual small town mentality you find everywhere were forgiveness can take a long time. Beautifully written with great characters and an underlying storyline that I hope shows the vulture getting what he.deserves. 10 out of 10 from me.
Driftwood Cove might not have been ready for Heather to return home, but after the pill scandal, her parents needed her. She could manage to do this, regardless how miserable it was going to be (she fled for a reason). Besides her parents, Bryce is the one person on town happy she's home. I liked that he took the time to see more than what other's did when they simply dismissed her as a problem. Darren didn't waste any time trying to insert himself and stir things up though. Could Bryce communicate to Heather that he was in her corner, always. That she didn't need to prove anything to anyone. My heart went out to her for what she'd experienced and what Darren was attempting to do now she was home. As for Bryce, keeping his Wolf under control while his mate struggled was a lesson in patience and his own self-control. With threats and manipulation in the wind, would people make the right decisions this time around?
The Driftwood Cove series just keeps getting better. Coyote's Fated Mate continues right where Book 2 leaves off in the aftermath of "the scandal" and I really liked that because I got to see more of the townspeople and continue the plot of the series. Book 3 is a sweet but spicy story. I also really like Heidi because she was complex. After fairly typical teenage behavior of experimenting with drinking and whatnot results in a barn going up in flames she was sent off to rehab. She has completely cleaned up her act but also needs to forgive herself to really achieve that second chance I feel people should get when they make a real effort to change. Bryce, also Heidi's brother's best friend, has always seen her hidden potential and is her champion. He's the perfect cinnamon roll boyfriend and I loved that he fell first and he fell hard.
This is a fated five-star read. This is number three in the driftwood cove series, but they can be read as stand-alone. This is a great short story that captures so much, Heidi is so brave coming back to a town that she left behind especially with the issues she had, coming back can be so hard, but she knew her parents needed her and something else drawing her in. It can be difficult living in your big brothers shadow, and I am glad that Bryce noticed what was under his friends shadow.
Love that Bryce has Heidi’s back even though his best friend tries to keep him away from his baby sister. Bryce shows everyone (including Heidi herself) that Heidi is more than her past. The fact that she is his mate makes the situation even more illuminating when he has to confront Darren. Don’t mess with a shifter’s mate!! Great job Jen!!! Can’t wait for the next adventure in Driftwood Cove!!!
Heidi never thought she would return to the town that remembers all her bad mistakes, but her parents need her, and unknowingly her brothers best friend Bryce needed his mate too! But when her ex comes back Bryce will do anything to protect her even show his true form. Well written engaging steamy desires quick read
Another great love story from Jennifer Snyder. I couldn’t stop reading. Love fated mates, he falls first. Loved reading even flawed people find love. Recommend to all.
