Falling For The Grumpy Sheriff: A Sweet Romantic Comedy

Rate this book

I come to Whitestone Valley—a chaos magnet, fleeing headlines wrecking myworld—and run straight into the grumpy sheriff determined to avoid me.

Shane Sullivan—brooding, emotional brick wall, and the spark I don’t see coming at the world’s tiniest airport.
We part ways… but not before trading one last smile.
Then a bakery robbery knocks me out—and erases my memory.
Suddenly, Shane is the only familiar face in my blurry new world—minus the connection I remember.
When my memory snaps back, I stumble into the robbers—and he’s there in seconds, protecting me, and suddenly the air between us is way too crowded.
Before the sirens even fade, he’s asking me to dinner like we didn’t just tackle armed robbers.
One slow dance later, and that pull we’ve felt since the moment we met finally has room to breathe—tangling our hearts tighter than Christmas tinsel, the kind of risk worth unfolding.
But then my past shows up on my doorstep with a smile promising trouble, and his late wife shows up in a dream.
Now he’s questioning if it’s too soon to love again, and I’m wondering if I just lost my chance at something real with him.

If opposites-attract chaos, forced proximity, and a grumpy sheriff trying (and failing) to guard his heart make you grin, then Falling For The Grumpy Sheriff is for you. This sweet standalone romantic comedy takes place in Whitestone Valley, a town bursting with love stories—and Jojo and Shane’s happily-ever-after is only one of them.

This book was jam-packed full of mystery, suspense, and romance. Shane and JoJo were such a joy to experience. I absolutely loved JoJo's snark and sass. I was just rollin' so many times. She was sweet, compassionate, snarky, brave, and just shined from the inside out. Shane was the grumpy, serious sheriff who just melted around his daughter, Ashley. Gotta love a grumpy, brave man in uniform with a cinnamon roll center! Put these two together with an adorable little girl, and magic happens. I just enjoyed this book so much. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Loved the storyline and characters. JoJo is amazing and Ashley is adorable. The issue I have is there just seems to be stuff missing. All of a sudden JoJo has a bruise on her thigh, she is a hero to the town, but she didn’t really do anything to catch the criminal. Who is Michael and why is he stalking her? Whether about what she witnessed? Too much missing. Despite all this I enjoyed reading this story. I
I received this book from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review.

I found a new author I love. The story of Shane and Jojo. I think we all have moments we hope “God hasn’t forgotten where I am or why I’m here.” We all need a community that walks with us through the hard things. Thankfully, “God’s in the business of redemption.” Enjoy discovering all the ways two lives are redeemed. I know I did.

Fun and Enjoyable

I loved the style and how easy to read! I loved how faith helped the characters connect to each other. The was love, a bit of drama and some great imagination on the events taken place throughout the book. I will definitely look for more books by this author when I need my spirit uplifted and a few laughs!👏🩷

I thought this book had potential, but the author needs to find a good book reviewer and spend time revising her plot development. I would also like to see better character development because the two main characters Shane and JoJo were interesting and lively. Unfortunately, I thought too many of the details were contrived.
