Just in time for spooky season, a dazzling new cozy romantasy following three sea witch sisters by USA Today bestselling author Molly Harper!
As the middle sister in a trio of sea witches, Cora Seaworth has spent most of her life hidden away at her family’s magical cottage on Moonshadow Cove. She’s claimed her own corner of the library, cozied up with her favorite novels and a ghost cat named Nicodemus. She’s the deep thinker among her more tempestuous sisters, so she isn’t prepared to be swept up in a real-life romantic adventure in the form of sexy local baker Iggy Galinsky.
Iggy is tired of his reputation as the Island’s unreliable charmer and a man of many talents but no true calling outside his family’s bakery. Sure, it’s mostly true, but it still hurts his feelings. His carefree life gets serious fast when he meets the beautiful, mysterious Cora Seaworth. Before long, they’re working together with Cora’s sisters, various ghosts and the unfathomable creature lurking at the bottom of the cove to defeat an ancient enemy. If they don’t prevail, it’s not just their love that’s at stake, but Starfall Point’s entire magical community.
Molly Harper is the author of more than 40 romance titles including the Half-Moon Hollow series, the Mystic Bayou, the Starfall Point series, and her first murder mystery, A PROPOSAL TO DIE FOR. She lives in Michigan with her family. For more information, go to www.mollyharper.com.
Story 4 stars. Narration 5 stars As always with a book by Molly Harper, I enjoyed my time listening. It’s a true paranormal rom-com by who I consider the best in the business. It’s not laugh out loud funny but there’s certainly whimsy involved plus a good romance. It takes place on an island in the middle of Lake Huron(think Mackinaw Island-but not). The island is full of ghosts and at least two covens of good witches. This is the second series set here and is book 2 of this one. I’ve enjoyed them all.
This focus’s on Cora, one of the sea witch sisters. They live in a magical cottage on the other side of the island from the town. Their land is spelled so no one can see it unless they are one of a trusted few. The area is filled with mainly friendly ghosts that they interact with daily. There’s even a ghost cat. They’ve been entrusted with an egg from the old country that resides in the bay they live on. It’s been there since before the women were born. They are waiting for it to hatch…not telling! But there’s another group that’s trying to find the egg as well. They aren’t exactly the good guys. Cora meets Iggy the town handyman/baker and his sweet overgrown dog that tears up the town when loose. That made for a meet cute between Cora and Iggy. I’m stopping here. It was a fun read with some bad people trying to ruin everything and suspense at times.
As always, the narration by Amanda Ronconi was impeccable. From what I’ve read by her, she narrates all of Harper’s books. I can’t imagine anyone else doing so-except Teddy Hamilton who co-narrates this series. He’s another favorite for me. So yes, narration was a solid 5 star! Recommended!
These are really great little listens. Fits the vibe for October, but has adventure and a little romance. I did laugh in this one and enjoy the puns. I’m curious to see what is to come because it is an easy and lighthearted read. I also love the crossovers with the witches from Shadowhouse too!
Second book in the Moonshadow Cove series! More ghosts, magical creatures & magical conflicts. I really think the story was cute. It was a fun vibe. Some people will love these reads.
Picking up shortly after the conclusion of The Wrong Witch to Hex, Hex Around and Find Out shares the story of the middle Seaworth sister Cora, and lovable pastry chef Iggy. The pair have a meet-cute when Iggy’s dog runs into Cora, but then later an enemy of the Seaworths accidentally shoots Iggy with a tranquilizer, forcing Cora to take him to the hidden Moonshadow Cove to save him. Instead of being frighted to discover about ghosts and witches, Iggy embraces Cora’s life and is fascinated with the cove and its residents.
Cora and Iggy feel a connection right away, with actual sparks forming between the pair. Despite their obvious chemistry, Cora pushes Iggy away in order to protect him. I appreciate that Cora realizes rather quickly that Iggy is part of her life, rather than letting her concerns becoming a “thing” that drags on. Even though Cora can’t see it, each is very similar to the other. It’s just she deals with anxiety and stress by making things orderly and he does it by going with the flow.
There is quite a lot of development regarding the pretentious Jasper Society and the Seaworth’s nemesis family, the Sandshears and their desire to possess the mysterious kelpie egg in the cove. And since I already understood the magic and the players involved, it was easier to follow the storyline this time.
Narration: Other than the prologue and epilogue, the story is shared via the alternating third person POVs of Cora and Iggy. Hamilton voices Iggy’s POVs. His voice is pleasantly deep and fitting. He adjusts for gender. Ronconi brings her usual, upbeat enthusiasm to the role of Cora. She also adjusts appropriately for gender, accent, and age. Both narrators don’t make a huge distinction between characters of the same gender, but their performances are entertaining.
Similar to the first book in the series, Hex Around and Find Out opens with a prologue from eldest sister Perry and closes with an epilogue from Jasper Society regular, James. It’s clear that these two will end up together, teaming up to take down the Seaworth’s enemies, and with how this one ended, it looks like it will be an exciting showdown.
This was a bit of a mixed experience for me. I continue to like the duo narration, and love the setting on an island off Michigan in Lake Huron. I'm also intrigued by the backstory of the Seaworth sisters and their ancestors. My problem with this one comes with the hero in this book, Iggy, the lead baker at a local bakery mentioned in all of the other books set on the island.
Our heroine in this book is Cora, the middle Seaworth sister. Cora loves to read (a huge plus in my mind). On her first encounter with Iggy at the coffee shop/bakery, she's put off by his irresponsible, charming manner. Unfortunately, for much of the book, even though Cora fell in love with him, I didn't like Iggy. He just felt far too immature. While he's theoretically in his 30s, he seems more irresponsible than Josh, a teenager who has appeared in many of the other books.
It was the main story of the problems occuring on the island that kept my attention. It seems as if the third book will feature the oldest Seaworth sister and James, the uptight man who was sent to the island to investigate things by a secret magical society. I'm looking forward to that story, and learning more about the secrets in the magical society.
If you’re looking for a cute and witchy read this season, Hex Around and Find Out is exactly what you need! This is book two in the series, and I thoroughly enjoyed both the storyline and the charming cast of characters. It’s got just the right mix of humor, magic, and a touch of romance that keeps the pages flying (or in my case, the audiobook playing nonstop). Speaking of which—Teddy Hamilton narrates, so you know it’s going to be good. His performance brought the MMC character to life in the best way. If you love cozy paranormal vibes, a sprinkle of snark, and a feel-good magical escape, this one definitely deserves a spot on your fall TBR!
I only chose this book because I was out of monthly credits on audible and it was a free listen lol! Its fall vibes felt like the appropriate choice. The plot line was interesting enough but not my favourite. It felt like a wattpad story I would have read when I was 13 lol.
This a very good 2nd book small town you, fall in love with all the characters over again and meet some new ones along the way. The sisters back story is delved into more which is great. Will definitely stick around for future books.
This is so much fun! a book that embodies the title, and it's wonderful to listen to! Iggy and Cora are so perfect together and now Moon Shadow Cove has 2 strong couples and all we need is the third piece of the puzzle 🧩 Come on Perrie and her book!
Maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for a romance or life got more in the way than I expected but I just didn’t feel the urge to get back to this story when I took a few days off from it.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the world of these books, the characters are always charming enough to enjoy following them but something about this one just didn’t grip me as hard as others in Starfall but I wasn’t going to give up on this book half way through.
Cora was a fun lead for the story and Iggy was a decent enough romantic male lead. Even knowing the rhythm of the way these stories play out wasn’t helping me through this time.
Although I think the main problem was more the amount of extra world building there was, fin folk stuff, other families, kelpie stuff (though once the egg hatches the story did pick up in my opinion) but if it had been a straight up romance it would have been much more boring for me.
But I feel like it was a necessary step for what comes next. Not every book can be amazing, some are just fine.
Cora Seaworth has spent most of her life tucked away from the magical chaos of the world—and it shows. She’s bookish, cautious, and totally unprepared for the whirlwind that is Iggy: a charming, multi-talented, and wildly unreliable human. Together, they stumble through spellbound shenanigans, romantic tension, and more magical mayhem than you can shake a wand at.
This is the second book in the series, and it hits that sweet spot of being easy to follow while still delivering frequent laughs and clever twists. Molly Harper’s signature humor shines, and the narration by Amanda Ronconi and Teddy Hamilton is expressive and perfectly tuned to the characters’ quirks.
If you love cozy fantasy with a dash of romance and a sprinkle of chaos, this one’s worth it.
Like the middle child love aspect and with the silly, goof off twin brother if the island. Great duo! And the dog who runs into the girl. Classic. Then the rest of the shenanigans that happen lol utter perfection! Love this series and want more!
I didn’t like the first book very much (I do usually like this author a lot) and generally I liked this one better, but there was a section in the middle that was pretty annoying.
Iggy is with Cora’s family for a period of time-for reasons. When it’s okay for him to leave, he can’t tell anyone where he was. First his sister treats him like a child. How old is he? I swear at one point he’s referred to as a teenager and somewhere else there’s a reference to 37 or 38 or something. Everyone treats him like he’s young, including his twin sister. The older sister attitude wears real thin. Anyway he needs to play up being flighty so nobody questions where he was-to protect Cora and her family-and then she’s judging him because of the local gossip about him and she never thinks oh yeah HE WAS WITH ME. Unless she did during the rest of the chapter I skipped at that point because everyone was annoying and dumb.
If you haven’t read anything by this author she has better stuff so I would recommend anything else.
Narrators are two of my favorites and they were great.

this book started really good. it was exciting and hilarious and i anticipated the conflict and the thrill. then it slowly became boring halfway. it was annoying towards the end. Amelia's all of a sudden appearance being the bad guy from and underground group. when the villain was started as a different coven who wants to takeover the moonshadow cove and the egg haven't even been fully explored. the plot or i would say plots are all over the place. the world building was meh. all the other things i was expecting to be explored were left hanging. like the power connection between Iggy and Cora, how their union is connected with the egg hatching, how is it related to Iggy suddenly seeing ghosts. i mean why was that? i am throughly disappointed.
the only acceptable thing about this book was the romance. which i wasn't really feeling all too well too.
it was also weird starting the story with Perry's POV when this one is about Iggy and Cora.
there is apparently a third book ending it with James' POV.

Unfortunately, I think I finally grown out of Molly Harper‘s shifter fantasy romance, genre books. This one and the last Mystic Bayou book that I read just didn’t do it for me. I typically love all of her stories and I just could not get into this one and I feel like I need to step away from her books for a minute to bring back my love of everything she’s written.
Eeek! We are back!!!! This time with the next sibling of the Seaworth family.
Cora has spent the majority of her life at Moonshadow Cove with her sisters. She spends most days locked in the library amongst the books. Iggy has many talents, but he has no true calling. His reputation on the Island is unreliable and a charmer. Sure, it is true, but he does have a dream but he lacks the confidence to go for it. His carefree life is about to end when he meets Cora and learns her secret. He gets dragged into the magical world and will try and help save Cora and her family from an ancient enemies knocking on their door. Will they save the Cove? Will Iggy grow up enough to be the man Cora needs? Can Cora even trust in love?
Make sure you at least read book 1 of this series. I would say the other series (this is a spin off) is important too, but the author gives us enough background of the other series so just at least read book 1 of this series.
Awwwww I love this author and I love these narrators. Eeeee. They are the perfect trio.
Cora is a woman of my own heart. She is my favorite of the sisters methinks.
The chemistry between Iggy and Cora are immediate, but Cora pushes him away to protect him BUT also to protect herself. He has a bad reputation on the island as a charmer and being unreliable. He disappears without a word for days. She can't bring him into the fold because she can't fully trust him.
The lust was quick, but it did a little bit for the love to come into play and I was here for it. It was a nice pace.
I did like getting to know James better. It's sounding like James and the older sister will be the couple in the next book. We shall see.
Oooo I'm curious if we'll see some sort of resolution with Iggy's twin sister. That girl is an angel and deserves happiness. *fingers crossed*
The narration was lovely as per normal. I can't imagine this series done by anyone else.
Issues? Mmmmmmmmmmmm the solutions seemed too easy. Hopefully we get some sort of battle or something in the next one. It felt too comfy if that makes sense. I also wasn't a huge fan of Iggy. If I was Cora I would've been hesitant too. BUUUUT I did warm up to him by the end.
All-in-all, I really liked this one. I can't wait for the next book!
4 stars.
Favorite Character(s): Cora Least Favorite Character(s): Our baddies and Iggy at the beginning
I enjoyed this book more than the last, we finally got to learn more about the sister's which was one of my main issues with the first book. We can't really sympathize with their plight over what they lost because it was barely discussed. I wish the author would have more of the people interact with each other, from the town's people to the everyone associated with Shadow house.
I can't wait to see the sister's grow more into themselves and find what they want to do with their life aside of just managing Moonshadow Cove. I want them to have their own goals, I think Cora would make a great writer.
I wonder what awaits the sisters, now that the egg has hatched will its mom come get it? Are they expected to raise it until it becomes of age and can go out to look for its mom? Will the sister's ever be reunited with the rest of their people once they fulfill their duty to the hatchling?
I want really hope the author continues the series past the next book. Even if the whole hatchling thing is resolved, they still have all those ghost and they could help the Shadow house coven. There is so many places this story can go. I can't wait for the next one.
PS - Is it me or is the cover art a bit off, like her head looks angled wrong. Everything time I looked at the cover it threw me off. I don't think her head should be looking straight ahead with her body angled the other way. Gave me the creeps a bit, or maybe its watching too many scary movies this October.
This was the second book in the spinoff series that sets place in shadow Cove, which is hidden off a small island in Michigan. These three sisters are descendants of sea fairies.
Their parents died when they were younger one from a ghost and the other from a broken heart.
Book one was similar to this book it was about one of the sisters falling in love. As well as their families, arch nemesis another magical family that has a vendetta against them because their family was Entrusted to care for the Loch Ness monsters baby (the other family believed it was their right to watch the egg, but the mother didn’t trust them) which was in an egg that could take hundreds of years before it was ready to hatch. In this book finally does hatch.
We had heard about Igor in some of the other books and he was love interest for the middle sister in this book. It was cute I actually liked their love story better than the younger sisters in book 1. Less grumpy & sunshine. As Iggy is like a golden retriever and he actually has a big dog 🐕 who might be a retriever, just a big goofy love ball.
The sisters found out they not only have to worry about the sand shears their families, arch nemesis, but now there are people from the Jasper society who were meant to protect, witch’s. Now there are bad ones in the society that want to steal the magic from witches because they’re upset they were born with no power.
Looks like James from the Jasper society will be the love interest to the oldest sister in the next book of this series.

These books are so enjoyable - filled with magic and romance, but also a wonderful family element. Oh, and sea monsters. Or maybe just one sea monster.
Coming out of the events of the last book, Cora is enjoying her newfound freedom in town when she is bum rushed by a dog. Owner of said dog, Iggy, has been a background character in a bunch of these books so it was nice to see him get a starring role here. At first, I was really on team “Iggy is the worst.” While it seems like the intention is there, he came across as flakey and unreliable. That did not seem like a good match for Cora at first, either. I should also probably warn you that if you dove in here, you might appreciate the character growth in this one more if you started from the beginning of the series, at least.
This book was like one big redemption arc for Iggy. He is such a bright spot in the ugly business that Cora and her family are going through with the whole society oversight and never ending war with the rival family. The way he is with Cora really turned me around on the whole Iggy thing. I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention that I am slowly coming on board with our favorite stuffy character being the love interest for the eldest sibling here. We shall see. So - back to the story - we get some really big reveals and twists in this one, especially with the egg. The stakes felt sufficiently high here’s too, so I was unnecessarily worried for the sisters and Iggy. Oh, and I am here for all the ghost and maybe god-dog relationship building, too.
the series continues and is just as quirky, sweet, and fantastically entertaining as the first book. i think i may have liked this one a bit more! this is such a delightful paranormal romance.
the eldest sister, Perry, narrates the prologue, just as she did in the first book, and the main story follows her sister, Cora (the middle sister) and Iggy, a talented pastry chef and “jack of all trades, master of none”. they meet in a sweet and hilarious way but things take a turn for the worse when he’s hit with a tranquilizer. she saves him but this also exposes where she and her sisters live in Moonshadow Cove. Iggy is not just surprised but wowed by it all and vows to keep their secrets.
Cora and Iggy have great chemistry, banter, and touching moments. i enjoyed that as their relationship is developing, so are the subplots regarding the Jasper Society and how the Seaworth sisters have to deal with the family rivalry with the Sandshears.
this was a delight! more fin-folk lore, more ghosts and more witches! i love all of the water magic and experiencing the sisters becoming more powerful as they are put into new and unexpected situations. this was another fun and quick read and i cannot wait to read the conclusion to the series (fingers crossed the wait won’t be too long!!) 🍎 🍏 ☕️ 🐶 ☺️🥰👻🌊👀📚✨💞
Molly Harper does it again—this one’s a treat you’ll want to savor like a caramel apple at the harvest fair.
Harper returns to Moon Shadow Cove with another delightfully witchy romp that blends humor, heart, and a touch of haunting danger. In this installment, we follow Cora Seaworth, the middle sister in a trio of sea witches, whose simple quest for a caramel apple leads her straight into the path—quite literally—of Iggy Galinsky, the local baker with a wolfdog, a dubious reputation, and more charm than sense.
What begins as a sticky-sweet meet-cute quickly spirals into something deeper. As Cora and Iggy navigate budding romance, family meddling, and magical mayhem, they’re drawn into a battle that could threaten not only their hearts but the entire supernatural balance of Starfall Point. With the help of Cora’s sisters, a few mischievous ghosts, and a mysterious creature lurking in the cove’s depths, they’ll need every ounce of courage (and maybe a little luck) to save their home.
Harper’s signature wit and warmth shine through every page, making Hex Around and Find Out both laugh-out-loud funny and unexpectedly heartfelt. Fans of cozy paranormal romance will find themselves enchanted once again by Harper’s blend of small-town charm, snarky dialogue, and genuine emotional stakes.
Blurb: Cora Seaworth has spent most of her life hidden away at her family’s magical cottage on Moonshadow Cove. *•*•*•📖💭*•*•*•
* When I first started this book I was so confused we started off with Perry Seaworth - Who I thought the book was about then only to follow Cora Seaworth through her journey of discovering herself and love.
* Cora is the bookish sister- The one who lived vicariously through books. She has bestie energy here for sure
*Iggy our main male character was bland I just couldn’t see him being on my book boyfriend list but his fire cracker of a dog Mimi was 💋
*Okay but who wouldn’t want a ghost cat - even a horribly cranky one that literally only likes two beings {Cora and his previous owner who is like a mother figure to the girls}
* All in all the small town romance was cute and the world was just absolutely magically creative.
Hex Around and Find Out is another entertaining witchy read from Molly Harper. With lots of magical and ghostly goings on, this Audible original romance is perfect for fall mood listening.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Seawitch Cora Seaworth and her sisters protect their ghostly charges and a mysterious egg in Moonshadow Cove. But when lovable local baker Iggy Galinsky ends up getting in the middle of a magical feud, Cora has no choice but to rescue him and take him to the Cove to recover. As the two spend more time together, it’s clear that instead of freaking him out, all the magical intrigue fascinates Iggy. But can Cora truly let him into her inner circle and the danger that lurks there?
This story has lots and lots of magical world building, and, while it’s not a must, I’d recommend reading book 1, Go Hex Yourself, first. Even knowing all the world building background, though, there are times where the magical mysteries and feuds driving the plot upstage the very sweet romance. Both Cora and Iggy are intensely likable characters, but it’s tough to get a grasp on what their relationship looks like when they are not in the midst of magical mayhem.
The audiobook narration is entertaining, and made this book come to life. Amanda Ronconi and Teddy Hamilton both narrated book 1 as well, and it was fun to revisit this universe with them.
Hex Around and Find Out is a light witchy romance that’s perfect for fall mood reading. If you like a paranormal story with a cinnamon roll hero who can bake them too, you’ll have a good time in this magical world.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a gifted copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
One thing about a Molly Harper book is that you know what you are going to get when you open a book - a light hearted, fun, sometimes quirky, easy to read/listen to story. It is not rocket science, but it is fun.
This is a continuation of the Moonshadow Cove and Starfall Point series and we are on the 2nd of three sisters' stories for this one. We get to follow FMC Sea Witch Cora Seaworth as she falls for MMC Iggy Galinsky. Iggy is "just a human" (or is he?) that stumbles upon the Cove as the trio of witches are in the middle of their magical war but there might be more at play than anyone was currently thinking.
I love the fact that we now have two covens on the island - The Shadow House Coven and the Moonshadow Cove Coven and I am looking forward to seeing the two covens join together to fight the bad guys. This series is full of fun banter with characters like the all knowing Nana Grapevine, and we even get to meet a brand new baby kelpie queen.
As usual, the narrating duo of Amanda Ronconi and Teddy Hamilton turns in a great job as the voices of the series. This book is only available in audio format now but will be available in print in the upcoming months.
