While accounting majors receive exposure to and practice with accounting procedures, terms and concepts, non-majors learn the role of accounting information in business decisions. Two new co-authors have been added to the writing team. Ray Whitington and Mark Bettner share their accounting expertise, teaching experience, and writing excellence. In addition, managerial accounting coverage has been carefully reworked and expanded. Material on capital budgeting, incremental decision making, standard costing, and operational budgeting have been upgraded. A new appendix on Activity Based Costing and expanded coverage of transfer pricing enhance the managerial chapters. New coverage includes new chapters on Forms of Business Organization (Chapter 6), and Introduction to Cash Flows and Financial Statement Analysis (Chapter 8).
