Noted anime director Mamoru Hosoda takes the kinetic energy from the screen and captures it on the page with this second installment of his science fiction epic Summer Wars. Adapted for print by Iqura Sugimoto, it tells of an ordinary family going to extraordinary lengths to avert an impending cyber apocalypse.
Kenji Koiso is a teenage misfit--he's good at math, bad with girls, and spends most of his time hanging out in the all-powerful social network known only as OZ. His online life is the only life he has—even though it may open a pathway to destruction in the real world. When the girl of his dreams, Natsuki, hijacks him for a starring role as a fake fiancé at her family reunion, things only get stranger from there.
I have nothing to say except that I am much happy with this sequel. It is a fast pacing, great plot, and awesome! However, two parts are pretty predictable. Oh well, still gonna continue the third and the final book of the trilogy and...am curious to see the ending. 😅
A great series full of people who are each learning that in order to protect yourself, you must first learn to protect others. There's a little something for everyone, gorgeous art, sci-fi action, social commentary, and through it all the love and innocence of youth. Apparently the movie version came first, but I've never see it, something I hope to rectify soon.
Tarina jatkuu siitä, mistä edellinen osio päättyi. Joten nämä on pakko lukea ilmestymisjärjestyksessä.
Bravo! 👏🏻
I enjoyed this volume more than I enjoyed the first. I find this series to be a very fun, quick read. I am unsure if there are other volumes, but even if there are this volume had a perfect ending and didn't leave any questions unanswered.
